It's because when he hears "milking" he thinks of when everyone called him a lolcow on the sidescrollers podcast and now he associates the word "milking" with him being a lolcow.
Just like he said calling someone a dent is extremely disrespectful and mean, but he's fine to say that a person's life has no value and they should stop existing. He's such a hypocrite, and he's dug in so deep that he seems to genuinely believe that nothing is ever his fault.
Genuine question, has DSP ever taken an actual suggestion to heart? Because I’ve watched several of this skeleton man videos over the past few months and it just seems like he goes “ok here’s the deal” and then goes on and on about ultimately how the answer is “no”.

Why does Phil start every subject with a backstory? Telling everyone the history of his channel is not required to explain why some videos have comments disabled. Just say “It’s a countermeasure for trolls” and that’s it. If they ask, then go into the whole story, but not unprompted. Imagine if this happened in a game; every time something needed to be explained, you get a 5-minute lore-dump on why the thing is important, rather than just saying it’s incredibly powerful.

He has to fill time to justify the segment in his "pre-streams" even though it's been stated multiple times that the pre-streams serve no purpose and the recommendation box serves no purpose other than shooting down recommendations. The cynic in me thinks he does this because Phil is ACTUALLY aware that his audience is either children or folks that are mentally disabled, because that method of extreme over explanation ("Phil-splaining") is done to children or folks who need CONSTANT reinforcement and day to day guidance.

Also huge doubt that it was feedback to turn off comments, how do I know? Because it would imply Phil listened to feedback that would retain viewers. Direct capture, better webcam, lighting, commentary. All these things were also recommended and he adamantly told them to fuck off.

Phil always invents a narrative. Nobody disliked him before 2014? Wrong. Many people did, including in FGC. People disliked him after he moved across the country for no reason? That's only because that is when he begun to put his financial issues on other people and got even more out of touch from normal people.
He turned off comments because fans couldn't watch the videos otherwise? You can still watch the video. People doxxed or harassed DSP in video comments and that made it to TIHDYP video intros' highlights? I only saw people posting memes or otherwise fitting jabs. Phil "left" Twitch? He was kicked off for toxic and hateful comments towards his fans and detractors.

As a software engineer style individual, I love when Phil acts like he knows the first thing about coding and what it takes to build and maintain a site like this. Or when he talks about it in reference to a game and acts like he could do better.
