- If you've ever wondered how a shock works, different types of shocks, how to adjust shocks, adjustable vs non adjustable, pre-load settings, valving, gas vs air etc. this video will explain that. I visited Elka Suspension and spoke to the expert Marc Kingsley, co-owner of Elka, have a listen to what he said, he'll set you straight on shocks - shocks 101.

What will the vehicle height be with Elkas on our X3 RS?
Where's Martin and PY?? I love them guys!! Ella's are a frickin great shock!! Love the duel rate springs!
Id love to Elka talk about the different stage shocks.
Can you add a lift to these on a can am defender?
When's the iqr build going start?
Do you know how much pressure is in elka shocks?
Im enjoying this video.
If you like this one then you are really going to like the other one we shot at Elka:) Coming soon!
Awesome man I wish I was as good at snowmobiles as you are
Great info. It appears that both of you took your shirts right out of a box and put them on (I hate ironing too)!
XP1K build video please and thank you
BASICALLY, good video.
well, I learned that I want a set in the front and back for my atv. I ride in a lot of different conditions on the trail and the thought of them setting my suspension for me and my machine sounds great. I go riding 10 to 15 times a year and simply want a shock to work great from the factor that they adjust for me. don't have a lot of time to mess with adjustment. I am afraid to mess up a setting because I don't know what to feel for. a lot of people don't have a clue on anything when it comes to suspension. give me confidence that you are setting my shocks up for my weight-machine at the factor before you ship them to me. I probably won't be able to feel the difference if the setting is off a little because of the huge improvement of your quality suspension from stock shock. All I want is for you guys to set me up with great shocks that match my machine-weight and riding conditions that I can bolt on and go riding. Keep it as simple as possible.

Which ones would be dual rate
Are these dual rate
I have an outlander max. I ordered the elka stage 3 shocks for it. I noticed the machine sat about 1 inch lower with them. I cranked up the preload to match
my stock shocks but now it is too stiff. Do elka shocks naturally sit lower? I wasn't planning on losing ride height. If anything I wanted more?
Bob Bobo who did u order them from?
PowerModz i ordered them straight from them.
Bob Bobo did you ever get that straightened out? Looking to add them to my outlander max but don’t want to sacrifice ground clearance
Is Ella and toytec the same
Hi, great video, is there an Australian distributor that I can contact please..
Check out their website for dealers!
@20:50 “as you go higher, air compresses”. It does not. In fact, it is the exact opposite. As you go higher, the air is thinner, meaning less of it, less to compress. More air lower, it is denser, more compression
"Instead of having a spring, you will find a hair canister"
Lol was going to leave the same comment
He's almost done it, he'll put the videos on when he finishes editing :)
I have a 2022 rzr .hey are very squeaky on the up stroke and down stroke. My machine has 45 km on it. Kinda annoying .
Elka makes a quality well built product. Unfortunately they don’t stand behind their product. If your lucky to get a set you like, you will be happy. If not, your stuck with an expensive paper weight. They should allocate more of their advertising budget to educating the employees and improving customer service.
does not take old sleds into account
why would they... no reason to.
Mike M older tech different implimentation methods different quality and nobody in their right mind buys new sleds too expensive
define an old sled. when you say old i think like... polaris wedges and sleds with leaf springs in front lol.
Mike M when i think old i think pre 90s mine is from 1971 so there is a definition
Hair is in the shocks??????? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Need a video about stage 2's and how to set crossover rings. I'm sick of FUCKING with these overpriced POSs.
