      The here. It’s sickening listening to media who have not observed the games from start to finish from October. They only watch the primetime games and say, “WCF last year, only lost to the champs.” But they fail to realize out chances would’ve been considerably higher with another coached though patterns. Game 3 when DEN went on that run to take the lead and not call a timeout was the icing on the cake. Dolly of me to think he’s actually exercise some logic, call a timeout, get an easy 2, reset. Nope. But he call it when we’re down 3. Damage done.

      There is a reason why Barkley has no rings. He settles, and is happy with mediocracy. Then you have players like LBJ that only goal in life is to win. Barkley does not have that mentality, he has a "The coach is a nice guy, keep him" mentality.

    The reason nothing changed from the Lakers last season is that they really haven't addressed their weakness or needs. They needed to get bigger and stronger...but they didn't. They needed size and length to answer their defense problem. Which means they need Strong True Centers. The notion that you are gonna be good having AD on the 5 (center) position full-time is laughable. He does his best work or thrives at the 4. He shines at 5 with a small ball lineup or against teams with a weak 5. But making AD play center against teams like Nuggets, Kings, T-Wolf, and teams with length, size, and athleticism??? AD will get worn out, cooked, and potentially hurt...along with the rest of the team. Look, their team builds or template is the 2020 Lakers championship team. That team has length, size, and athleticism, and they also have the intangibles. That team has personality, energy (hustle guys and fire starter), bench cheerleaders and motivators, locker room guys, high IQ, and glue guys.
    They need to get rid of D'lo.
    They need an experienced coach with an experienced coaching staff. The only time you can get away with an inexperienced coach is when Lebron has full control of the team or with a skilled team with chemistry and continuity. When Lebron was at his prime and could carry the entire team on his back...yes, you can get away with it. However, the notion that having a newly formed team, an aged Lebron, and a new/inexperienced coach, would win you championships...you have lost your mind.

    Your argument for a third star is flawed. If you get a third star to take over when AD or Bron are out, Trae Or Mitchell have not shown they can carry a team on their own. He also most likely will be playing with a bunch of minimum players. The Lakers biggest upgrade must be the coaching, that is what they can financially control. • @PaulWWhitfieldJr
    @PaulWWhitfieldJr Před 17 dny

    No shade, but I’d model what Denver did from the Bubble until they broke through last year. They let go of Grant and Barton, brought in Gordon and KCP, as far as key rotation pieces. I understand the teams are built different, but what I’m saying is they key to the Lakers is the Bron-AD connection, in particular, the PNR, so who can you get that accents that? In Denver’s case, they had the Jokic-Murray two man game, then went and got Gordon to do the dirty work at the rim that frees Jokic up to be the Swiss Army knife that he’s elite as. They got KCP to be a superior 3-D guy which gives them a great POA defender that can attack the opponent’s best guard, and developed MPJ into an elite perimeter guy. So, the Lakers have the Bron-AD two man game, they have a playmaker/scorer in AR, a do-it-all defender in Vando, and a budding 3-D weapon in Rui, so flesh the rest of the team out with better quality dudes (and yes, I’ll concede that Gordon was an anomaly pick up for Denver because it’s not often a team gets a former top-5 pick first a song-and-dance) and the Lakers are still in the hunt. Keep in mind, they were arguably, the second best WC contender given their record against the rest of the WC playoff teams and I’ll NEVER bet against Bron with a good team behind him in the Finals.

    Seeing the decisions that the Lakers organization has made throughout LeBron's tenure with the Lakers, I honestly wouldn't be against the Lakers ceding all control over to LeBron. At worst, I don't think LeBron would do a worse job than the Lakers in building up a roster and hiring a new head coach. Outside of LeBron's agreement to go for Westbrook, every move that LeBron has wanted has been more or less spot on.
    The Lakers going ahead with the Westbrook trade is ultimately still another example of the incompetence of their front office and management. They had the final say at the end of the day and they were ultimately the ones to decide how much to give up for Westbrook. They also were the ones to actually push for a complete roster rehaul since most players on the team seemed to want to run it back and build around the margins which is why the Westbrook trade even came up in the first place.

    First a serviceable big, then get maybe not a star (to hang onto assets or salaries) but just someone who is a guaranteed bucket. From deep and around the rim. It’s tough to find but Robs gotta get it done. If you can somehow keep Rui and Austin and either have both or one come off the bench that’s a solid team. Of course as long as the starters make sense lol. Dlo… I wanna root for him so bad because I know he loves LA but a goose egg in the play offs is not how it’s done man.. Rob has a tough job in the summer. The roster put together from last summer should have produced much more, i understand the injuries and lack of chemistry that comes with that. I was on the train that last season pick ups were solid and we’d finish top 5 in the West. I’d look to keep TP as well. He’s not as bad as fans think he is just used incorrectly for portions of the season. He’s not a starter. And for the love of all things keep max christie. That dude can be an elite 3&D guy. Just needs the trust from a coach to allow him to play through his mistakes. He’s playing with LebronF’nJames let him learn. Darvin is not to completely blame. I don’t understand how the dude regressed so much from last season but he did. Darvin had his issues but also did the roster. Darvins recent comments like the whole AD thing, those kind of comments make it hard to want to give Darvin another shot. He’s gotta take accountability too. Not getting a physical big at the trade deadline at least was a big mistake on Rob. The most complete season we’ve ever seen from Lebron and AD outside the bubble year and they finish a play in team and bounced in the first round. A lot of ways to point a finger but there’s so many things to blame not just one. Either way, thanks Trevor for your time and making the early exit not hurt as bad lol GO LAKERS!!!

    Barkley and media who have said Ham is not the problem need there eyes checked. So it's okay he doesn't use the starting 5 that got us to wcf until nearly 60 games in which when they actually played together went 18-6. Is it okay that Ham doesn't use timeouts until the opposing team goes on a 18-2 run. Is it okay Ham doesn't call plays? Is it okay Ham NEVER makes in game adjustments. Is it okay that Ham benches guys like DLO/ Reaves within games when there in a slump but keeps prince out there 51 games when he's going 0-10 I mean give me a break. Then him not listening to the players. Using terrible lineups/ rotations etc.
    As for the roster I'd say to bolster the depth around Bron and AD rather than a third star. We got 3 picks to trade, rui, Reaves etc. I'd really prefer to keep Reaves but changes need to be made and if we get a trade that will improve the starting lineup a lot then you gotta move him. Need consistent role players bc all of our guys not named Bron, AD let us down vs nuggets big time. Also need a reliable back up big.
