  • StarTech produces many different peripherals and accessories for computers. This docking station would be a great fit for people using laptops with PD charging & Thunderbolt connection. You would be able to connect all of the peripherals with a single cable!

    I enjoy your channel, and Sorry for the questions but what is the name of the large computer screen in this video, and would you recommend it, also how do you like Startech products?

    • @JosephKim

      The monitor is MSI Prestige PS341WU. I have used Startech products a lot, and always found them to be reliable.

    Hi Joseph. Good review. Our company might need something like this when we return to the office because we are moving to the HP Elitebook 830 series and they don’t have docking pins so our docking stations won’t be any good. I’m going to add this to the listing docks and port replicators we need to test. Thanks.

      Unfortunately, I have not, since I don't have two 4k screens. That was just on the specs.

      It supports two monitors via two displayports.

    Hi Joseph, I am currently using two 27 inch apple thunderbolt displays, and a LG Ultra gear 850G monitor (display port or hdmi) monitors. I am looking for a docking station that will allow me to connect all three monitors to my 2016 MacBook pro. Could you suggest a dock that would work for me.

    • @JosephKim
      @JosephKim  Před 3 lety

      Hi, I don't know the specs of those monitors, but it all depends on whether one Thunderbolt port can push all three at full resolution and refresh rate. I also have seen laptops simply not connecting to the second or third monitor due to its configuration.

    • @pareshrr
      @pareshrr Před 3 lety +1

      @@JosephKim All the 3 monitors are 2500 x 1440 resolution. The apple monitors are thunderbolt 2 and currently, I am using the tb2 - tb3 adapter to connect to my mac. The LG monitor connects via display port or HDMI.
