Thanks for the support brother. My dad always said, “pay attention to everyone. Because even the dumbest person in the room has something to teach you.” Salute homie

Just a reminder though bro. I am a journeyman. Lol just cuz I’m here at this plant doesn’t mean I haven’t put in my years. I’ve been a rig welder since 2014 budd. Traveled a lot. Lol

I have a construction master calculator. It's great for building stairs.

@@VantageWelding they're also good if you're pouring a concrete slab you can just measure your depth by width and length and it'll tell you how many sacks of concrete you need

I haven’t used the metric system since 3rd grade when I was living in Mexico. I got used to the standard. Lol

Let's say youre looking at the pipe right. And you split it into 4 quadrants. 1 is at 12 o'clock, 2 is at 3 o'clock, 3 is at 6 o'clock and 4 is at 9 o'clock. I'd weld from 1 to 3. Then 3 to 1. For my second pass I'd weld from 2 to 4 then 4 to 2.

Usually when I make tie ins, I fit them off level to help me keep them level and square as I weld it.
