- Researchers at the Zurich-based ETH public university, along with a US-based startup called Inkbit, have done the impossible. They’ve printed a robot hand complete with bones, ligaments and tendons for the very first time, representing a major leap forward in 3D printing technology. It’s worth noting that the various parts of the hand were printed simultaneously, and not cobbled together after the fact, as indicated in a research journal published in Nature.

AWESOME 👏😎
so clever
While the tech is cool, I fail to see how this a better solution than 2 stage curing resin like the one from Carbon? What material that you can't make into a green part, but this can print anyway? Moreover, with that amount of support, I highlight doubt it can be any faster than the resin printers currently on the market.
I didn't notice any mention as to how quickly it printed - I suspect it is quite slow. Personally, I prefer slow and precise 3D printing for my projects.
can you print me a thumb? 😁
OK-ish only for writing, typing, holding ~10-kg but may never work in survival scenarios like hanging for dear life or put a robot in situation to make suspend with its hands. I have better idea and reaching out tech firms already...
Such amazing things man can do. Now if he could only figure out how to stop genocide and hate.
