Hell yeah! More TestAmenT! This whole album is amazing, have you guys ever done a TestAmenT ballad? I'd suggest "Trail Of Tears" as a good ballad to start with, Chuck Billy is a Native American so this song packs a heavy emotional punch (and the guitar solo is beautiful). Definitely one of my favorite TestAmenT songs, so I know you guys will love it too! Great reaction as usual guys! 🤘🤘🤙🤙
Don't forget The Legacy off the Souls of Black album. That also is a badass album.

Honestly testament is one of my favorite bands, this whole album is one of the cleanest recordings I've ever heard.

I got The Gathering CD in my deck right now. This whole album is so damn heavy. Chuck Billy does some Death Metal vocals on this album as well, James ain't doing that. James Murphy from Obituary is on this album.
This song and True Believer got.me into Testament... I was living under a rock before that.
I think Testament has to this day, the most loyal fanbase of all the thrash bands.

Thrash confession: I actually was late and missed Testament opening for Slayer and Megadeth. The silver lining was I didn't know their stuff but knew all of the others. They did Seasons and Rust In Peace, as I recall. War Ensemble vs Holy Wars! Holy crap we got thrashed🤘🏴☠️🤘🎸🤘🥁🤘💥🤘

Uh...it IS very much possible to like BOTH bands...jus sayin. Personally, if there had been one more band worthy enough to be added to the Big Four...thus making such the Big Five, I gotta go with Overkill by the thinnest of hairs over Testament. But, that's just me. I'm a huge fan of both.

Obituary is death metal.
This is "new" Testament. They changed their sound, became more heavy and fused thrash metal with death metal after their album "The Ritual" in 1992.
This album is "The Gathering", and it's 🔥🔥🔥.
It features a complete all-star line-up of musicians who play together on this one album only (unfortunately 😂).
Some of them include:
James Murphy - Guitarist (bands include Death, Testament, Obituary, Cancer, Disincarnate)
Steve Di Giorgio - Bass (bands include Sadus, Autopsy, Death, Control Denied, Testament, Dragonlord, Iced Earth, Vintersorg, Artension, Takayoshi Ohmura, Sebastian Bach etc.)
Dave Lombardo - Drums (bands include Slayer, Grip Inc., Fantômas, Testament, Philm, Suicidal Tendencies)

Guys, the big lie is something called the big 4 of thrash! Lies! There are more than 4 big thrash bands. It is the stupid media that made this lie up! Don't believe it! There is testament, exodus, kreator and many more! BTW Great album here and Dave Lombardo drums on this masterpiece. 🤘😎🤘

I used to be in a band as the vocalist, and we were often compared to testament, I can see why, we did sound a lot like them. but life goes on and the band dissolved. such a shame.
I’ve always said that Testament needs to replace Anthrax in the big four. I like anthrax but they’re just not thrash metal.
When you buy a Testament album, you know what you’re gonna get. Anthrax you just don’t know what to expect from them. But I like listening to it, but they’re not big for material.
But you guys definitely need to do more Testament I mean the song so far that you’ve reacted to have been fire. And it just gets better from there, especially when you go to their debut album and go in order.

Back in the days (80's) thrash it necessarily wasn't a competition, it was a movement yes there was or is a big four but in my opinion I think it's based on how they came out imo
Of course Metallica came out first, and then spawned Megadeth, etc of course slayer was on top of thier game and though every one wants to give flack to anthrax (like always) they were the ones not taking everything so serious
So generally speaking thrash actually goes in order of the time they came out , so you could have big four for people who don't know or you could have big twelve for people who do ( exodus, testament, kreator, sacred Reich and so fourth, hence the time period they came out 🤷
It should be the Big 3. No other bands are as big as Metallica, Megadeth and Slayer.
This has nothing to do with testament lol…

I'd 100% take Anthrax out and put Testament in.
Testament didn’t show up on the scene several years after it had already been established. They are NOT part of the big four! Anthrax were one of the original thrash bands in the East! They are most definitely part of the big four!
I would definitely replace Anthrax to Testament in the big four, but that's just my preference. Anthrax is fine, but Testament is Great.

Anthrax is a waste of space. Testament and Overkill are way more deserving of that spot.
