- Always enjoy landing into Laguardia for it's aggressive landing and turns as well as the awesome close up views of Manhattan and Brooklyn.
This is a flight from Indianapolis to NYC Laguardia on a Delta Connection CRJ-900.

My hometown, born and raised in the Bronx. In fact, I put my phone on pause to get a screenshot of the building where I grew up. Brought back a lot of great memories! Growing up in the 60's-70's and going to 12 years of Catholic school, I wouldn't change a thing. The plane went over the cemetery where my mom, dad and brother are buried. I started to cry because I miss them so much! But thank you for taking this video, great shots of Lower Manhattan (where the World Trade Center was), another terrible day for all of us. Stay safe and well everyone. God bless you all.😔

@@parkerparker9378 someone just commented about how they missed there parents who died and and your here just linking your videos
@@parkerparker9378 I love Newyork very much where my sister alongwith her husband anf four young chilgren are living since 1994 first in Brooklyne and now in Queen area. I have visited them once in 2011. Sweet memories of that visit are still in my mind.
hi very beautiful city
faith in GOD makes it all worthwile
Captain: "For those sitting on the right-hand side of the plane, enjoy the spectacular view of Manhattan, for the rest, chicken or beef?" :)
LoL - Laguardia is a cruel game - depending on wind conditions the close up views could be on the left or right side of the plane. Thanks for watching!
@@HDNYCAviation There can also be RWY 31 approach. And you will see nothing special from both sides, like in JFK.
Mohammed Atta: "The Captain please sit down, keep remaining sittings, we have a bomb on board"
"Don't make any move, everything will be okay, just stay quiet"
Worse….New Jersey
a nice view of new jersey!
There are many things we may not remember over decades...BUT....,there is one thing one can NEVER forget...flying over NYC and looking out of the airplane window for the first time!
like the song says, when you're caught between the moon & NYC.
Perfectly stated!
@@shirleynitka5030 Opps...Perfectly stated!!!
Are you saying you'd never looked out of an airplane window until you were flying over NYC for the first time?
@@andydporter5136 It was my first time flying over NYC. Prior to that first flight over NYC and after I was on tour as a pro skater in Ice Capades. We flew in to NYC and perform for 3 weeks. I've looked out of hundreds of windows as our tours flew us all over the map in and out of the U.S. NYC was a highlight of our tour each year.
If you ever visit NYC make sure to walk on the Brooklyn Bridge, it’s sight to behold when facing Manhattan
I just did 2 days ago. It was absolutely stunning 😍
Don’t block the bike lane!
A sight to be contempled.
Especially at night
I have done this 2019 😍
New York is the best looking city! Nothing beats the iconic Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building! Most iconic city on earth!
I miss flights to NY. New York was one of my favorite trips
Well be back soon!
Hi baby you very nice
Probably the single MOST breathtaking video I have ever watched on CZcams. Immensely beautiful. Bravo!
Glad you enjoyed it!
If only the twin towers were still there. New York isn't the same without them.
not breathable for the people in an unknown building
Its been almost 20 years and i still say the city skyline isn't the same without the twin towers. God bless all those lovely people.
I agree with you
God bless them all, amen....
Coronavirus will destroy NYC.
Yeah I used to fly from Boston to Baltimore & we would always be following the coast & those twin towers were there to see their stature & architectural grandeur! As of lately, they are building several ultra tall highrises along & around the lower Central Park area of Manhattan!
You can see the 911 memorial in the fly over.
I've never been to NY, always wanted to go. Always thought it wasn't that big and in my ignorance used to think that LA had a lot of buildings and possibly more that NY, but HOLY CRAP its way bigger than i ever thought possible. Now i will make it my mission to go at least once before i die. It looks simply amazing. respect.
NY is a state too! Shocking isn’t it 😳😱😳
No comparsion buddy
Los Angeles is tiny compared to NYC
@@eltingville81Truly Los Angeles is twice as big as NY is,Stop it is reality
Los Angeles is far more spread out in area but New York City is more than twice the population. The two cities are very different. New York is much more interesting and a vibe unlike any other large American city. Good luck with your visit!
I’ve lived in NYC all my life and I’ve never gotten this good a view of the city from a plane. Really lucky.
I was in NY in 1991, very beautiful city, I liked very much, maybe someday I'll be back!
I would love to visit NYC one day. Just the size of it is intimidating 😳 lol.
Smooth landing... hardly a bump. Great scenery.
Thank you!
IM remember that i saw this video 1 year ago
i miss new york ive been there 5 years ago and i realy wanna visit there again😊
How can I watch this video and not think of that day 😟. Glad all is safe now
Love the approach into LGA and seeing the NYC skyline
Thanks!
I’ve seen many cities from the air, but never NY despite my four trips to the city. That is a stunning view.
Thanks for watching Agus!
Tokyo is 'sick' also.
25m people, the biggest city on Earth....
@Anthony Thatcher Tokyo has more than 6,000 parks (Wikipedia)
And type; Tokyo from the air.
Sick video. Never been to NY but spotted Coney Island off the bat and then lower Manhattan so beautiful
So proud to live in this great city
Hello
Oh 4 real?
the most wonderful place on earth !!!! THE LOVE OF MY LIFE - NEW YORK CITY !!!!
Went for the first time in October 2017 and then have been back five times in 2019. It is the love of my life as well.
You literally got almost 360 degree fly over of all 5 boroughs (Staten Island out the other side of the plane) on a perfect day! Not every approach is like that. Love it when that happens!
I come from a small town of about 10,000 in Appalachia.
Suffice to say, the scale of NYC really blows my little country bumpkin mind.
New York ... together with Istanbul and Sidney .... are the ones I adore the most !!!!!
Amazing views! I knew NY was big, but I didn't realise how big. This film puts it in perspective - HUGE! Thank you so much for sharing, loved it!
See this city: watch?v=SPTyXftT0bY
It's the largest City in the world by land mass.
@@markwatson4238 no it isn’t
@@thejza9910 Yes it is.
@@thejza9910 Defining the world's largest city by land area is difficult as many cities are always growing. However, New York is often estimated to be the largest city in the world by land area, with a total of 8,683 square kilometres. Other big cities include Tokyo, Chicago, Atlanta and Philadelphia.
The pilot put that plane down like he was landing on a dozen eggs! Smooth, perfect landing...great pilot!
Minute 2.50 that image of hundreds of towers seems amazing to me. Impressive video where you can see the imposing and grandiose of New York, the final approach on the spectacular river too, thanks for uploading the video!
Many thanks!
We are going to New York soon . I am looking forward to landing New York . Thanks for this amazing video.
Wonderful video.. Love New York.. there's no place like it...I miss it ..
Glad you enjoyed it
NY looks bigger than on the Google Earth. I want to visit this beautiful city one day. Greetings from Czech Republic🇨🇿.
New York is a state. When referring to New York City it’s NYC
Wow, great video. Been there done that. Landing runway 22. Brings back a lot of memories. 01:54 NYC. 02:40 Empire State Building. 02:55 Central Park. 03:33 LGA airport top of screen. Captain seat right base you can see White Plains. Great stuff.
Beautiful iconic city ..
I'm 67, born & raised in NYC. What a thrill to see & experience my home from the air during the day this way. Every time I've flown back to NY, It's been at night & either to JFK or to Westchester airports. I recognized it all & it looked beautiful. I ❤ NY.
Hi there 🙋, I hope you and your family a good health... One question, What is in the 7:00 min a square of brown buildings that look like paper?
@@ellaroberts1812 Hi Ella, I'm sorry but I don't recognize that part of the video. I will try to find out. Thanks, & I hope you & your family are safe & okay too !
Landing on the pier LGA
I wonder why did you move out.
@@yashshah3484 I'm still living & loving New York !
New York is the best looking city! In america and in the world nothing is more iconic than the Empire State Building! Unbeatable!
dubai
lmfao
Do not talk about it without seeing Istanbul.
@@soclassy4922 pffffffffffffffffft
@@australianpatriot couldnt pay me to go to Dubai, if I want to go to a desert i can go to Vegas, without restrictions
If you pause at 2:00 you can see where the Twin Towers used to stand 😢
You flew from over Bay Ridge to Wall Street in 1:20 minutes. The "R" subway train from Bay Ridge-95th Street to Whitehall Street takes about 35 minutes for that same distance. You were lucky in being on the correct side of the plane for this wonderful scene. Being a passenger, you never know what approach a flight would take until you are there. Also the weatherman blessed you with good weather.
It's the difference between being in a mode of transportation that moves at 40mph but stopping every several blocks for a station, and a mode of transportation moving 240mph with no stopping

New York City, from a birds eye view..thanks for sharing pal!😃🙌🏻
Is like flying arround cities skylines! What a city this is....Amazing
Hi you very sweet
Thanks for sharing this video. I am kind of amazed they let commercial aircraft fly so close to Manhattan. I saw my old building where I worked in the Wall Street area. It was a great experience to work in NYC as a young person, but I am also happy that I don't now (and this has nothing to do with the virus). Long live NYC!
I am amazed as well. It’s wild walking around Manhattan and suddenly see a 737 fly over head.
I second that motion George!

beautiful footage from window.. crystal clear.. the amount of history, work, and engineering work captured in this video is incredible.
from nyc area and i never get tired of looking at the skyline when i return home
I surprised you can even fly in that airspace, being so close to downtown. I live 5 miles from Manhattan and that skyline never gets old. So different without the towers tho.
Thanks for watching dan!
@@HDNYCAviation I’m surprised about the proximity with Downtown too.
Oh, how I wish I can visit NYC again. The first time I visited New York was in 2008, a vacant time when neither the old WTC and the new WTC was existed.
The new york with the twin towers was better. They were stunning buildings.
Que linda vista de Manhattan!! Gracias. Me recuerda tiempos mejores....
OMG its a beautiful thing I haven't made it to NYC although my desire to get there hopefully this winter for my birthday
You should!
How old are you

I love N.Y. Few years ago I lived next door Sunset Park in B'klyn, nice view, nice memories... Thanks for this video.
i remember when we went to new york and i was amazed of how close we were to the buildings it was amazing
This is a beautiful City. When plane flies over the head of the City, millions or more of houses presented themselves beautifully and they are blocked by blocked individually built.
The view of the Pacific Ocean at the beginning is amazing
Pacific? It's the atlantic ocean.
I used LaGuardia Airport many times when I lived in New York, but I never really took the time to look at the scenery from the sky. Great video, thanks!
I really would like to see more Trees 🌳 in New York City.
There's a lot, you just can't tell with all the buildings
Central Park
Its not called the iron jungle for nothing!
@Pete Melon What a Shame, is there not anybody who you can write to, maybe get them replaced. 👍🏻🌱
There's actually more green than you'd think, but not in the video because that was taken in winter.
Thank you for keeping the camera rolling to film one or the most beautiful places on the planet. How I love NYC!!!
This is different!!.....Great footage!...love it!!
NYC is where I wanna be.
Wow... great views of NY!! Brings back lots of memories of my teen years living there.
Hii
This is an amazing video ! Have flown into LGA many times but not in such style - first across Brooklyn, then hugging all of Manhattan from the the west, then looks like quite a ways up north, along the I-87/White Plains area (?), and then a right turn over the Bronx, before touching down from the north. Bravo...Thanks for the upload :)
I’ve never arrived at La Guardia until now.. lol ..always arrived at J.F.K. ... me lov NYC 😍 - cheers from Australia
I just loved this video as New York city is my favorite and I never tire of watching videos of landing there.
BEAUTIFUL ANNA!!!!
JEFFREY SIMON.....BOSTON
Cool video! Could see Madison Square Garden, WTC and other landmarks!
I LOVE IT. SAW THE BUILDING WHERE I USED TO WORK AND THE BUILDING WHERE I USED TO LIVE, BOTH IN THE BRONX.
I cant imagine living in such a vastly populated place
Midtown Manhattan is just something else
If you are not a comfortable flyer, this approach is terrifying. I flew a Delta flight in to LGA this week. The approach took us directly over the lower east side and up the Hudson. When I looked out the window on the left side of the aircraft, the spire on the Freedom Tower was directly below us! I thought we were not allowed in that air space. I freaked out!😆
Allowed?
With a simple radio clearance, I’ve flown my private plane right over Midtown.
Beautiful...
We love N Y
Fantastic view !
That's beautiful, amazing NYC ❤️ loved it

Perfect shot of the WTC and the pools where the towers fell
Thanks for watching!
Nice, I got to see my old house on the tip of the South Bronx, Thanks!
What a great video - thank you so much for making it. New York looks sensational. Made my day.
Lived there from 01-07. Great city and state. Jones beach was awesome in summer. Co op city can be a bit eewww but the other boros are cool enough. Upstate is beautiful in places

Since I'm from Toronto I'm not familiar with all the sites of this approach into La Guardia. It would be nice to spot everything if I was familiar with it. When watching approaches into Toronto's Pearson International I can identify so many places and roads/highways. Nice video btw.
