Thanks for the reference points; very helpful.
At around 8:05 or so the Claremont Colleges are visible. You can't really tell unless you know what to look for, but they're there. :)
Deserves to be a pinned comment…high five.
That was awesome, thank you! Our California is so beautiful!
Thank you for that. I wish every video had a similar guide.
The first time I ever flew into LA was in the summer of 1972, it was incredibly exciting! Air travel and LA are a very far cry today from what they were then. I miss those days.
You are so right!
Smoking on the plane, I remember doing that. Free drinks (Alcohol included on Air Canada in the 1980's). The food was MUCH better and every passenger was friendly and curteous to the attendants. Also, watching a movie on a pull down screen in the front of the isle! with those $5 headphones you had to buy LOL. And THE best part of air travel in those years? Getting through customs or into boarding lounges was MUCH easier, and faster!
Thanks for sharing! Even though I was born in the late 70s, I recall hearing those wonderful stories from my Dad, uncles, aunts and older cousins. It just isn’t the same today!
The year I moved there. A dream come true. Thought I'd live there forever. Moved back to Florida in '79. Wouldn't live there now for all the tea in China...

Crazy, what's normally a two hour drive without traffic is only an eighteen minute flight on an A321. The video starts at around the Banning Pass. Very nice video.
Yeah, that visibility in SoCal is VERY rare. Super cool video man. The SoFi Stadium area is growing rapidly in Inglewood. Thanks again.
Thanks for watching my friend!
Nice demonstration that human beings are only happy when living in their own house.
I've seen that view at least once a year for the last 50 years, and I still look forward to it
I just retired after 28 years driving a semi. I remember back about 2015 taking a load from Atlantic city New Jersey to l.a. I swapped trailers at a drop lot next to lax. Now im an airplane buff so I sat there for a couple of hours just watching the planes.it was pretty cool.
I always love the takeoff the moment, when land meets the ocean. Never gets old!
And landing at night and seeing the whole city in lights.
No matter how commonplace flying and all sorts of technology serve our everyday lives, it never ceases to amaze. Thank You for sharing this video.
And thank you for watching!
Shershah ???
As lifelong LA resident, I can tell you we get these days time to time in the fall and winter. High pressure over the deserts blow the smog and haze out sea. It will be a dry, 80F day, with snow on the mountains to the east. A great beach day, in January.
Yep. Yesterday was actually a really clear day with not a cloud in the sky and crystal blue skies, too!
I'd rather live in LA than Mississippi! 😉
@@sixtiesfreak4858 I rather live in LA than New York
@@ti4331 same here.. although I was born in NYC.
I like to watch such movies!
As a LAX based flight attendant that every trip starts and ends in L.A. I can say with a level of confidence most days are beautiful flying over Southern California skies, the days of cloud and haze are outnumbered by the gorgeous days, and this year winter 2022-2023 and spring 2023 have be off the chain spectacular.
Absolutely gorgeous recording.
Excellent buddy keep it up full flight videos.
Been to LA nearly one month ago... loved the breathtaking clear sky! Back to Brasil, I enjoyed the gorgeous landscape of the Wonderful City (so called) Rio de Janeiro. Can it get any better?
Great Mountain views
Man that was a smooth landing
Just the way we like it!
It blows my mind how big this place is 😮
Holy smokes!!! I've never seen the air that crisp clear in Los Angeles 😳
it's like that all the time in winter and fall. Most of the stuff people think is smog is actually haze in the summer. The indians even had a name for it way back in the day.
Thanks for the ride.
Another great video to make the day better 🤙🏼
My god! LA is hell of a big city. We could possibly put Toronto in there several times. That was very interesting. Thank you for video taping this.
.
It is - and that's just the city proper. You should see it at night from the air - nothing but lights from horizon to horizon. 😃
@Jane O'Leary entire population of California: 40 million. Too much.
I said the same thing while watching this.."DAM! LA is frigging HUGE!" and your right, being a Canadian, I'm not used to seeing so much real-estate like that!
@@richardscott4318 Population of California: 40 million
Entire population of Canada? 35 Million, For the WHOLE country
@@SoCalGuy-gp2wl The first 10 mins is not the city proper lol
Was on another site that showed the pilots periodically ........ Landings .... Takeoffs .... All Brilliance .... But do you offer the pilot's perspectives......???? Or am I misinformed????? All I see is wings and a landing .......... Love the show...... Kudos to all who fly and put up with the chaos . insanity . and madness....... Cheers to our brave pilots of the air.!!!! And flight attendants....... Thank you for your service !!!! .......👍🏾✌🏾😄
I do not show anything from the pilots perspective. I am but w paying passenger on all of these flights and I don’t have any special access. Thanks for watching!
No smog, no clouds, great aerial views!
15:48 That is where I saw my very first concert on July 29, 1991. The new stadium looks great too. Thank you for this great quality video and not putting music on it either.
Perfect Landing _ Thank You for dis Video👍
Wish they were all that smooth
Now that is impressive! Crystal clear vision and all the scenery during the descent great to see. Enjoyed & subscribed.
Glad to have you around the channel! Thanks for watching!
I haven't been to LA since 2012...this makes me miss it so much.
Thank you for this video. I'm homesick as I'm originally born and raised in L.A. but now live in Baltimore. I'm not crazy for earthquakes.
By far the best landing I was looking for! 👍. TY
Beautiful landing ever seen very smooth 😍😍👍👍
I simply adore these videos…I love flying ❤️❤️❤️
I'm glad you enjoy them my friend! Thanks for watching!
That was ENJOYABLE! Thank You for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Top 10 landing for sure
Hi traveler. Coming over the mountains into the valley is always incredible. Another great video.
Thanks for watching my friend!
Love the scenes of LAX
This has to go down as the best video I've seen from Skylite Productions so far. A truly first class ride and a must watch many times over.
Glad you enjoyed it my friend. Thanks for watching!
Lol
Awesome smooth landing!!!!!!!!!!
Incredible how HUGE LA is.
And clean ....!
SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL 👌💖
Very impressive views. Can even see big bear lake. Thanks for sharing. 👍
beautiful shot feels like i'm on that plane with everyone
Amazing!!!!
great video. delivers the excitement very good.
Stunning.
But I do have to comment on how quiet the flight was...not just the plane, but inside the cabin.
Love the view
Great video! Thanks for posting these incredible views!
Glad you like them! Thanks for watching my friend!
Great Video. Thanks For Posting.
I'm glad you enjoyed it my friend!
My first flight to LA was in 1959, in a United Convair 440 from Denver. Via Grand Junction, Las Vegas, and LAX. You walked out to the plane, they served real food and gave free cigarettes with the meal. How I miss those days. NO TSA animals or COVID masks.
Thanks for sharing that story!! Even though I was born in the late 70s, I like to “reminisce” about old times through the eyes of others.Even as a small kid in the early to mid 80s, I recall hearing wonderful tales from my Dad, and family!
There were no covid masks until 2020! But the rest sounds amazing. People dressed with elegance, unlike nowadays with tattoos and ripped jeans or shorts!
Oh nice
A superb Video-clip! Breath-taking views of the terrain from an airborne panoramic perspective! Gives us a glimpse of how vast and spread-out the City of Los Angeles (+suburbs) is! L.A. is second only to New York City in terms of span and population! Thanks for uploading this engaging clip!
Wow the city center seems to be very far from the airport... Great video.
Sweet landing.
Nice landing runway with rolled-in grooves that stops aquaplaning.
Fantastic view 🤩🤩👏
That was awesome, great views! Last time I flew to L.A. it was just like that, a perfectly clear day!
Real nice video on approach to LAX.
LA looks its best in winter.
AMAZING landing!!!!
MARC💃❤👄🤣
Nonstop flights from Asia and Europe to California airports (usually SF) used to be routine for me. I'm so travel-starved now that I'm watching other people's flight videos. Thanks for posting. LA is still beautiful despite the crowds.
Awesome.💯
What a size of a city. Massive.
Los Angeles county alone is well over ten million population.
Some 60 different cities are in the county.
Fontana, San Bernardino county was once site of Henry Kaiser steel mill. L.A. basin was traditionally a hot bed of many manufacturers including many aircraft production firms.
I 605 San Gabriel river highway visible in flight. 27 mile auxiliary road north/south route across valley.
Bike path accessible as well. San Gabriel green belt road.
Awesome!
Hope they find enough water for all those houses soon! Beautiful landing!
Me too!
A very clear and smogless day in Los Angeles. Usually there's haze or marine clouds obscuring the mountains and the city.
The smog days are over they corrected that. In the 1950s was when it was the worst
I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and we get days like these too...air so clear and the sky so blue with no clouds in the sky. Wouldn’t want to live anywhere else!
I cannot wait to board the plane and go home very excited.
Neat video 🎥👍🏻
Wow...this is a miracle....no pollution and a clear sky in Los Angeles.
LA native here, been living under the plane path my entire life, love seeing the planes fly by. I see my house at 13:48.
I can’t wait it go to LA.
Great vid, thanks for sharing
And thank you for watching!
Stunning Footage man! LA usually isn't this clear with all the smog lol
Thanks for watching my friend!
Damn that was smooth landing
I'm originally a SOCAL kid many years ago, moved to New England in 1972 ... I have NEVER seen the air so clean over the "Inland Empire" as on this landing ... :-)
To be fair, LA _proper_ doesn't really start until about 13:00 everything up to that point is the IE, San Gabriel Valley.
SUPERB.......
Very nice.
Nice!!👍
A word that is perhaps a bit overused, but for me, this video is truly EPIC ! Over 40 years ago, I flew in to LAX more than a handful of times as a kid. Only a few of those flights saw such a beautiful, clear day! As I got older, my trips out west became fewer and rare to have that kind of view from my window seat. Thanks for sharing this amazing flight experience with us!
Mike kidding it is Amazing.
Like Jim McKay said, LA84 didn't have Smog Issues and the Traffic Issues.
My Pal David will Love Flying I know he will.
A Special Compliment - Los Angeles and Moscow despite us not together at the 80 and 84 Summer Games, your Opening Ceremonies were fantastic.
:)
LA is huge.
It was Los Angeles that I went abroad for the first time a long time ago❕
I approached from the Pacific Ocean, but this 5th familiar townscape I think this is the most beautiful in the world!👍
I was very impressed to remember that when our jumbo jet approached the Americas from the Pacific Ocean, we were looking down from the aisle window❗️🤟😭
Cool thanks!!!!!!!!!
so clear I could follow along on Google Earth starting over Redlands, Pomona, etc. Thanks for sharing. And no turbulence. My last trip into LAX was like a bad roller coaster. I've flown countless times, and descending into LAX that day was the worst turbulence I'd ever experienced, starting all the way out by Palm Springs.
Maybe it was the Santa Ana winds.
CZcams's algorithm decided that I needed to watch this video, so I did.
WOWOWOWOWOW!! Wonderful views of the LA area. Good view of Mt. San Gorgonio, the highest peak in SoCal. Good view of Big Bear Lake. I associate this with the Big Bear Cabin on The Bold and the Beautiful. This was where Stephanie punched Brooke Logan so hard back in 1999 that she went clear over the sofa. Poor Brooke didn't have a chance!
Good view of the San Bernardino Airport. Good view of the Ontario Airport. Good views of the mountains running north of the LA area. Good view of LA's CBD. Jeez... you go REALLY low over the freeway coming into LAX!
I followed all instructions given by the flight crew.
Sometimes you just get lucky and get some really great weather. This was one of those days. As always, thanks for watching my friend!
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it my friend!
The level of population density is mindboggling.
Really nice video.
WOW!
Wow you just cant any smoother than that
Los Angeles County and the basin is HUGE!!!
fantastic video! Clear day at LA, no marine layer. Been there twice, nice weather, nice people but holy hell that traffic is ridiculous at all hours of the day. First stop after getting picked up.....the In n Out on Westchester, a place not found on the east coast.
Yep, Ashlee! Make mine a double double!!!🍔🍟😜
I was landed in LAX in the evening. We flew over Staples Center and Nokia Theatre. Way cool
I used to love landing at LAX from the east.
Mojave desert, Sheep Hole Valley, Eagle Mountain( under left wing), Big Bear Lake, San Bernardino Mountains, Fontana, Kaiser, Rancho Cucamonga, Ontario,
San Gabriel Mountains, Claremont, Pomona, Elephant Hill, Pudding Stone Lake San Dimas, West Covina, City of Industry, Whittier Narrows recreational areas, Montebello, Pico Rivera, Los Angeles River, Maywood , Vernon, 405 Highway,
Los Angeles International Airport
What always impresses me about that approach is just about where you hit Big Bear lake, that near 70 miles of concrete expanse starts and really doesn't let up. I've flown into some of the biggest cities in the world and few have that constant circuit board that goes on and on and on.
The concrete doesn’t impress me, it’s not exactly a pretty city.
@@alexs3187 Would it surprise you to learn that most people who live in LA like that people are put off by the ugly and like that it's a hard city for tourists and outsiders to love?
@@wizardmix nope. It was glamorized by Hollywood, so it made people want to go check it out. But you get there and it’s a complete shithole. Now that movie production has shifted to Vancouver, Atlanta and other places, I think people are less curious - now it’s mainly just an international airport hub and just another big city.
@@alexs3187 It's actually a very interesting city, with a lot of hidden character. Having lived there for a time, I can vouch forn that. Most of the places tourists want to see are complete let downs and I used to laugh at their looks of disappointment. It's odd and ironic to me that LA is judged outwardly for being shallow, fake and superficial. I've always found those people to be the ones who moved from elsewhere and thought they needed to behave that way. What's more, LA always seems to be judged by those who never get below the surface of it. Layover or long weekend types who think they can get to know everything about a place over a vacation. I used to like that those people were scared off. Those with not enough character and grit could go ruin San Diego or San Francisco (and have).
@@alexs3187 Yeah because we all know that there is NO movie production left in LA, lol.
Beautiful scenery!

My favorite state is California. Mountains, desert, ocean and the prettiest women you’ll ever see.
as a huge NFL fan I love to see Sofi stadium from the sky, I hope to tour it next year, I love LA.
Caryl, here. I used to love landing at LAX when we travelled. There's no place to go anymore. We are homebodies now. It has become such a pain in the ass to go anywhere now with the TSA, extra luggage fees, no dinner service, masks, and REAL ID's. But memories are great! I loved seeing the Forum right before landing.......almost home!!
Finally a full clip of what our GTAO characters see loading in for the first time!
Haha. I hadn't really thought about that, but it's true.
