That was an amazing crit! And so incredibly useful even though it was for someone else's work. I think Prof Lieu even said it helps to watch crits of other people's work so you can get the advice without being emotionally attached to the work. This crit really proved that. Thank you (to the teachers and the artist herself) for sharing.
We’re glad you enjoyed it! Many times there can be information that you may not come across in a personal critique because everyone’s artwork is unique! There’s more portfolio critiques in this playlist you might like: czcams.com/play/PLvt8_pMl6ywkytEtwUk8Ad5fyXKKoHwL3.html

I want a book with those mice! The character and story are just bursting out of them - so cute! 😍
You're right, a book about them would be so amazing! - Mia Rozear, Art Prof Staff
This critique really help me. I am currently a tattoo artist, but my goal is eventually to move into childrens illustration and just improve my illustrations overall. I feel like you said some things that are really helpful at any stage in an art career. Doing art for other people sometimes we kind of loose sight developing ourselves and our art.
Definitely, you should create art for yourself, not for anybody else. That may sound a little extreme but if you are not enjoying the work, it’s usually not worth it and you may lose your passion. We’re so glad you found the video helpful, best wishes for your art journey! - Hema Somaya, Art Prof Staff
