I'm so envious of young, serious artists that are coming up in a time where all of this info's there for them to discover! A couple of years out of school Bobby Chiu and a small handful others were the only ones very publicly sharing what young artists need to know!
by far one of my fave pf these podcasts. the "putting the right things into your portfolio" piece is so easy to understand and yet, sometimes, so hard to implement! my biggest issues is that its hard for me to replicate,..so character continuity is difficult but worst than that, entire style or ability can sometimes just...change or i wont know how i did something or how to redo it loll... still trying to conquer that issue.

listening to this on youtube while arting a bit. starting from effectively 0, I'm tempted to do a 6 month challenge. Considering (Cary Henrie?) redid an entire portfolio in two weeks, and Lee recommends cycling your portfolio every 6 months, do you think it's possible to build a portfolio and get work in 6 months?
