    Thank you for the information, I have been trying to get represented and been turned down many times but nobody ever tells you exactly why. I will be working hard on my portfolio to make sure that I include all 10 and hopefully the next time I submit my portfolio to ITSme or any other agency they will not turn me down...😂😂😂

    Thank you very much for this super helpful video! I have a small question: these are tips for a picture book illustrator. If I would like to focus on non-fiction (education) books would the rules for a portfolio be different?

    • @ITSmeLearning
      @ITSmeLearning  Před rokem

      Other than numbers 4 and 7, yes these are applicable for non fiction portfolios. You would just focus the illustrations on non fiction topics/ stories. We will be releasing a blog on nonfiction portfolios soon, and video in the future!

    Wait, fan art is acceptable in a children's book illustration portfolio? How? And why?
    I would like an elaboration on that.

      That's a great question - and a topic / subject a lot of people misunderstand. We'll be doing a video about that in the future!
