“Cows need farmers”. My relatives have a fifth generation dairy farm here in Maine. I have tremendous respect for what you folks do! Thanks for sharing!
People take today's farmer all to casually - if at all. Generally people go to the store, buy food and eat it. They think not about how that food got on the shelf. Well, Jan, you are on of the most important people in the world. YOU are a farmer. You are one of the few who can feed the rest of the world. You do it while no one says thanks, and no one gives compliments for a good job well done. Canada or UA, you are all the same. Caretakes of the earth and the animals who feed us. Thanks, Jan, for your farm, your channels and all the ladies you take care of.
Agreed 👍 "Cows need farmer's" as do all countries, peeps gotta eat. Jan, thank you for the videos and for keeping it real, you're my favorite young CZcams farm guy. 🙂♥️🐮🇨🇦
Great job Jan! That cow and calf were fortunate to have you there - love the way you care for all your livestock, you are a fine example for others to follow. "Cows need Farmers!" I can't imagine for a minute that you would think I wouldn't watch the entire video LOL !!! They are all priceless!
“Cows need farmers” alright and experienced ones like you Jan make it all much easier.Good gear only makes hard cold jobs a kit better to cope with as well.We always had an old uncle push the cows in to our parlour and when he wasn’t there anymore the cows would wait to be herded in they were so used to him being there.
Found your channel a bit ago love it . Not a dairy farmer but have been raising the bull Calvs from a local dairy for 30 plus years . What farmers do for us is awesome thank you.
Your worker spotting the heifer was calving was good stock work. Cows need farmers because the simple thing with your worker had not spotted the heifer calving the calve would posable of died and damaged the heifer. Great to see your sister seeing that the cows were getting used to the milkers getting them in to the parlour. Great video Jan
I ALWAYS make it to the end of your vid's. Enjoy your videos , your personality and your general farm points of view. Thanks for sharing your life with us.
Awesome job with the calf! You really need to paint a big “CTC” (calf transport carriage) on the side of the wheelbarrow, lol 😂! Keep up the great work!
cows need farmers! thank you for always explaining things clearly. i am learning so much more about farming than i ever thought i would! thank you for sharing!
Thank you Jan for the video. Yes, cows needs farmers, and its good when Farmers needs cows. My dad always said when I was little, when you have a cow or two in the field, your never broke. LoL That's been 60 years ago. LoL.
Way back many years ago when I was young, I worked construction before I was able to buy my farm, I also never "cheeped out" on boots or carharts, It was always money "well spent" living on the edge of Lake Ontairo
You said it that we need farmers. Whether it be a cattle farmer or a grain farmer. If you want to eat you need them. You could have gotten your items here in the states for cheaper. My overall that I just bought were $170 and my jacket was $ 130. I don’t wear rubber boots but from what I’ve seen they run anywhere from $100-$180. You’ll have to have one of your friends in the states get them for you or take a trip across the border. Great job with the calf. Cows need farmers.
Don't forget it US bought goods cost canadians at least 33% exchange rate, when everything is considered it's not cheaper. His top of the line boots at 180$ USD come in at 239$ CDN. Look at what the gas cap is selling for in your state, I bet you it comes to the same price he paid for.
Cows need farmers!!! Great job saving the heifer!! Love your videos and all the extra work you have to do editing them for us!! God bless you and your family!
Cows need farmers. So do Canadians. That Bison truck is called a LCV and its about 135 feet long. I drive a B-train and go to that Timmies when I sleep at the Husky across the road. Watch your videos at night in the truck before bed, thanks for entertaining and teaching.
There is always something so very special about seeing a birth. You are watching another person or animal coming into the world. I think it is just such a wonderful thing.
When I was living in South Dakota on my uncle's Farm. I remember helping the vet do a C-section on a cow. Also remembering buying warm winter gear just like you did, have to stay warm when you're outside for hours. Keep up the great videos.
Hey Jan, Congratulations your a uncle and that gas cap is coming out of your check lol. As for the clothes I would spend the money on buying the good stuff than going cheap, steel toe boots can be expensive but its worth it. So whats next for SDK keep up the good work and see you in the next video🤔😯💳💸👍😉
Jan another great video. Your knowledge and experience around a Holstein herd is impressive and a huge plus for your family farm. Keep up the good work and stay safe.
Cows NEED FARMERS! You’re parents are so lucky to have you as their son. Seems like you’re well educated with so much farming knowledge. You not only know about the cows, the feed, the equipment, but you seem to be a great problem solver. Keep up the great job farming and making these videos for us to enjoy and learn from.
How come no long johns for the winter? They are a must here in Ontario .What a beautiful big heifer calf. She will pass on some great genetics. We get that stuff at Marks and TSC mostly. It's dissappointing to see that its made in China and not up to what we expected while the price is still way up there. I hope those tubes are up to carrying the weight of the new motors. I'm keen to see how the new mill works for you. Good video. Peace.
Cows need Farmers! Likely the coveralls are a supplement to long johns, here in Manitoba it's not uncommon to have three layers (long johns, jeans, coveralls, base shirt, sweater, jacket) if you're working outside. Jan should be able to deduct some of that from his income tax, he's buying it all to work at the family business.
What he bought does not come from China unless it has changed in the last few years. Dunlops, when I was in that business, were made in Europe, Carhart had factories in the US and Ireland, his jacket might have been made in Asia, probably not in China. Marks and TSC are full markup chain stores, local guys need to be supported, as well as coffee shops. (Tim Horton is owned by a Brazilian conglomerate)
Great job Dr. Jan. And Dr. Miriam. That is a lot of money for a piece of plastic, they sure get you when you have no choice but to buy it. Looks like you will be toasty warm this winter. Lot of money but necessary to do your job. Cows need farmers. thanks for the great video.

That's a huge heifer. One thing I love about your channel is that your not afraid to show what really happens on the dairy. Alot of ppl prolly think it's gross but they don't get that feeling when the lil calf looks up at u and breathes it's first breath
Cows need Farmers...365 days a year! Thank you Jan for giving us the beautiful “birds eye view” with the drone shots. I am very glad that you will be warm this winter...me selfish🤔. I want to see those winter vlogs. That heifer did a pretty good job with that calf considering how big it was, without your assistance it would have not been a happy ending.
It's a good thing dairy farmers care so much about the health and well being of their herds, otherwise there would be a lot more birthing problems - Kudos to you Jan! - Dave

Cows need farmers and we need these videos to enjoy. Thanks Jan!
That's a huge heifer. One thing I love about your channel is that your not afraid to show what really happens on the dairy. Alot of ppl prolly think it's gross but they don't get that feeling when the lil calf looks up at u and breathes it's first breath
Cows Need Farmers. Of course they do! Thanks for another great video. 😊👍

That cow looked like she was glad to see you, when you went to help her. That calf looked like she was all legs. Love your videos Jan 🥰.
Loved the drone shots. I didn’t realize you had so many buildings.!
I so enjoy visiting your farm!
Good job Jan, keep up the good work.
It's a good thing dairy farmers care so much about the health and well being of their herds, otherwise there would be a lot more birthing problems - Kudos to you Jan! - Dave
So awesome to see how you care for your cows!! Keep up the great job!!!
