Hey thanks for watching the video!
Loving the every day video cycle. Just film whatever's going on. Good stuff.
I agree
Likewise, I much prefer chronological videos as opposed to farm stories
Thanks! Thanks for watching!
Wow!! That is so very nice that your Mom brings out lunch and sets it all up nice for you to eat. She seems like a wonderful woman. Taking care of the calves and the rest of family as well. My hats off to you ma'am. YOU are the love that keeps it all together!! Let's also shout out to Mirjam since it seems she was helping out greatly!!
Yea we are spoiled in the field!
I’m a 60 year old woman and I just really enjoy watching yourself an sisters videos. Growing up we had a pig farm and out of my 3 sisters no brothers I think I enjoyed the farm and all the work way more then my sisters. I had a chart when the pigs got bred and when they would give birth. I really enjoyed being on the farm. I love the way you all work together I’m sure there is disagreements and I have to chuckle when you asked your sister who is telling boss man because my cousin would say you tell grandpa he won’t yell at you. Different things bring back such good memories.
That fragment surely was just fun. (telling boss)
Haha yea it’s never fun calling the boss with a break down! 😂 thank you for watching!
Thanks for the daily content. We know it’s a lot of hard work and effort on your part to make it happen. Know that it’s appreciated as we follow along on your daily dairy farm chores.
Glad to hear it’s appreciated and also know that I really appreciate you watching! Thank you!
I'm watching this video on 10th August 2023 at 2116hrs in Nairobi Kenya.
Have a wonderful one Jan fans
I grew up on a farm: I can smell the silage thru my laptop! Thank you for sharing!
Haha I know what you mean! Thanks for watching!
Sunny-side-up in the morning...brilliant. "Forever in blue jeans." Burnside looks cool and connected. Good musical choice again today. 😎 🤠
It is great seeing the care for and appreciation of mom.
So just had a content idea for you Jon. Just watching your Mother put out the spread for lunch , TACOs. Maybe a behind the scenes video of your Mom and what it takes to feed the crew !?
And while your at it. How about an interview with Mom and Dad and how farming started in Canada 🇨🇦 ?
These everyday videos are spoiling us. I'm happy for you running out of room to store your harvest.
Aloha to you and your family🤙🏼🤙🏼
That is one civilised harvest lunch! Definitely the way the Dutch do things; properly.
Mmm, nothing like field tacos. Great job!!!
8:05 Jan I think this is probably your favourite part of the day !
I would love to hear more from your mom and dad about how they got to this very successful point in their lives
Me too.
Yea I plan to make a history video
It’s always fun to watch silage chopping in another part of the word we run a bare minimum of 3 trucks here and can easily burn 250 gallons of fuel a day when chopping. Great video keep up the good work.
Used to live on a hobby ranch with horses 🐴 I can smell the alfalfa now, Nothing sweeter💚 fantastic camera work! rather enjoyable to watch the cleaning up you all do.
thanks for sharing again 193K subscribers and growing🌻🌼
Another great video. Thanks for sharing! One never understands the volume and diversity of work involved in farming. I am sure all the moo-moo ladies enjoy and appreciate the hard work and look forward to feeding time and show their appreciation by good yields of that white gold. Many farmers are truly outstanding in their field. The work seems to never be done. Some have dairy farms, some have poultry farms but dairy farming is the most exciting and busy I think. (I never have liked chicken that much because it leaves a foul taste in my mouth)
Hahaha Reese is a chicken farmer 😂
Great video Jan! All things considered - an impressive crop! Well done! Thanks for the video!
I like the time lapse segments and the more frequent video release schedule.
I think it is great to hear dutch talk
I hope the taco's tasted great
GREAT JAN ‘ got your chopper going again I wish you guys the best and lots of success 🙏👍🇺🇸❤️🇨🇦
Hope you guys get blessed with some rain. Having a better harvest than expected is always a good thing.
I am loving all this content man. I know how much you have to do to put it out, so thank you for the commitment.
Glad you got a good crop this cutting. We are really short of hay here in Kentucky
Jan, Another awesome video, I think whenever you have any type of machinery you have problems with wear and tear, you guys look after machines really well with greasing them regularly and keeping them clean . I used to work in a woodworking shop and the time lost with problems with computers on machines not reading problems and machines breaking down , even though they were serviced regularly. Just part of working life. Take care and stay safe 👍
Thanks for watching!
Really awesome video.. Thank you sis and mom for lunch. thank you guys
You had some great video in this one (well they're always great) 👌 but I liked the camera on the silage truck and at the end sharpening the blades was pretty cool 😎
Oh I bet that smells so good!! Surprised there aren't a bunch of birds all over those grasshopers. LOL!
Your family farm is the best on CZcams in my opinion, please stay safe and always be awesome!
I walk past several alfalfa fields in the business park where I take my walk every morning. The alfalfa smells so good. I imagine it smells even better once it’s cut. And the flowers are really pretty. 😊
Now that is some green goodness.
Love the challenge you made for yourself in the daily video uploads!
Love your videos i always look forward to watching them
Well done to Brent for getting the swather fixed so quickly.
Nice to get more than you were expecting. How deep is the water table, does the alfalfa regrow quickly, how long between cuts and how many cuts per year. How long does the alfalfa live? Do you have dew in the mornings even if it does not rain, how many hours of dew do you have? Your night time temperatures are lower then mine at the moment.
Jan, ❤ the daily videos. Anything you shoot looks great, is interesting, educational and the angles are On Point. Sometimes I think the phone is gonna fall off or drop down or get run over...hold my breath every time Lol.
Thanks for the daily content.
While I have never smelt newly chopped Alfalfa I do love the smell when you break open a second cut bale. If you could somehow capture that it would make a great car air freshener. Way better than the little pine trees. Nice to hear that it yielded better than expected and as a bonus it got a little rain to kick start the growth cycle to help insure a good freeze down.
💜💜💜💜 Another fine Mom lunch.
The alfalfa field below my house was cut yesterday, and we got a heavy rain tonight, so the swamp cooler is bringing in the wet alfalfa smell as I watch this, it's like smell-o-vision.
Love seeing those field meals. Your mom does a good job keeping you all fed. 😊
And here I was hoping that Neline would be doing her archaeology studies "FINDING MORE BONES" 😂😂 One can only hope. Well done . Informative 👍👍👍. Thank you for sharing. Take care of yourselves, be safe, 🇨🇦
That’s so nice of your mom to bring lunch to everyone with a place to sit for a little bit.
Sure glad you guys have something to harvest. Austin, TX Wednesday marked the 33rd consecutive day of triple-digit temperatures and the 49th such day of 2023, and over the next week-plus, it's not looking like anything will change in that regard for the next two weeks. + ongoing drought
That’s crazy! I hope you get some cooler weather and rain!
Those tacos are making me hungry, Jan. You have a good mom.
Great video as usual, now I have this mysterious craving for tacos. :)
A video everyday !
You're a busy guy .
With your daily videos its nice to see everything as it happens different jobs different days an a lot of hard work Jan the every day life of an awesome farmer Thank you for sharing so enjoyable to watch
Best wishes from Ireland 🇨🇮
great video man, city workers part was really good, 😀, i can relate to that
Your mom is wonderful!😊
Love it! Thanks for keeping us entertained!
Good job guys
Always glad when you get a great yield on your crops. Thanks again for a great video of your work.
Thanks Jan for the new video. Mamis is also impressive in the administrative phase of the dairy. An example of what teamwork is for a corporation to be successful. 👍👍
I like the shot when you put the camera on the truck and we could see how it got filled and where it went after.
Everything yan sir morning to you I think I'm uk 🇬🇧 but hope you and family have a good day
Love your hard work, love animal farming & agriculture life.
Versatile tractors are my favorite tractor manufacturers, I’m glad you feature them in your videos sometimes!
What a great interesting video and thanks for letting us see all the trials and errors that you have on the farm.
Looks like sis has some catching up to do!!!
"Tiger Salamander"!!! Awesome !
Taco's in the field - care givers spoil you. 😉
A leaf blower would work well cleaning out the chopper! Less wear and tear on the air compressor! Just a thought!
Love watching your videos so interesting
thanks jan, lots of work and information again. How do you keep the blades from starting a fire, after seeing all the sparks. why do you need so much Barley silage? Thanks for the video again man. Oh yeah, what is the reply telegraph and lets talk about it. I didn't hope people wil leave your channel alone----almost 200 subs.
They need so much silage, because they have around 1,000 head of cattle to feed. Jan has said that they feed 2 truck loads of silage per day. That's 730 truck loads per year.
GOOD JOB!
Wow the alfalfa field looked good
AA+ as soon as u video pops , BOOOOM, IMA ON BRUH, TKS !!
I wish there was such a thing as smellavision, I bet that cut silage smells good. I love the smell of fresh cut grass, so I could only wonder what that smells like.
Awesome video. Y’all keep hammering
Here in Wisconsin we try to chop everything at 70%. Anyways really enjoy watching your farm
Thanks Jan, 👍🍻
HI I’m new to the channel I’m from Saskatchewan too. But at the end of August I turn 16
Nice vid
Sleep is good for you Jan! You might try it!! 😴 💤 😅
Technically, tacos are made using corn tortillas. On flour tortillas, while sorta-similar, are called 'burritos'. The flour tortilla's taste and texture leans the stuffing to a more savory ingredients. It doesnt really matter much, but I was surprised and happy to see that. My respects to your mom.
Farm'in = Fix'in !
Maybe #1 crop !
I like the cowboy hat in the beginning!
Thanks for telling us the video's date
How many of your Dutch relatives are farming in Holland? It would be an interesting topic for a vidi.
Great video as always
Another very interesting video
This Gras hoppers give an extra kick of Protein in your feed😂
If ya ever wondered how chocolate covered grasshopper came about it was a farmer open cab tractor an after swallowing so many said this wouldn't be so bad if they were covered in chocolate
From Indonesia 👋
Love the content!!
Good video.
Cheers.
Grasshoppers make up for the lost protein because the alfalfa is mature.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 GOOD ONE
Hahaha probably
11:03 hawk looking for lunch - didn't get enough taco's I guess...
👍
tacos, sweet!!!
Love the videos my cousins has a farm and I live being around it
Anymore large farmers buy good used items as backup ( only ) for critical pieces of machinery.
So the pit seems to be directly on the ground... does that make for some loss when feeding later?
Do you adjust the cutter bar after you get the knifes sharp.
Or that chopper different then most.
The swather just need a good going throw.
Did Brent get to finish his vacation? Hope so. Great video again Jan. Sleep well.
Goed om weer een beetje Nederlands te horen!
Is it worth it to cut a little higher? Less breakdowns?
Hey Jan! If ur swathers are not reliable maybe switch to triple mowers with belt mergers?
I have disc mowers but without mergers. Much more reliable equipment.
Also invite you to my Channel about farming in EU (Poland).
Cheers. (I am starting On YT).
Do you blow it off before sharpening? With those sparks flying are you concerned?
I hear a Dutchie at 8: 20 !
