In a perfect world, the Myvi has the Ativa’s front seats and that’s the world where I’d be driving a Myvi
hahaha
same thought . myvi fl seat spoil
Hopefully, p2 setup a custom product division where u can choose the engine, trans, n interior packaging etc. Just like Dell computers.
Myvi is great all-rounder and undoubtedly the go-to for many especially with the new facelift now bringing more advanced stuffs from Ativa but I secretly like Ativa more. I hear many complaining that Ativa size too smol but I like the tiny dimensions, it's cute and charming haha. It's exactly what I imagined as Kembara successor.
It's just an Android Auto away to be perfect for me lol
i bought ativa simply because of the dnga platform.. i appreciate the new platform, the chasis is more refined
sekian
For me ativa is the symbol that malaysian household gradually can afford a more expensive and more comfortable car for their family
Lovely. .finally a comparison i have been waiting for...thanks wapcar
This is a business strategy, where the seller purposely create difficulty of choice to make you do the wrong decision, and you become eagerly want to change another new car.
IKR
Yes finally this video came out
I think Ativa is a better choice rather than Myvi. Even though Ativa rear seat space is smaller than Myvi, for short and long distance driving, it will be comfortable enough to sit in Ativa. Ativa is sure a great choice for someone who whould like to try Perodua's new platform. I just hope that the next Myvi will be built in DNGA platform too. Then, I would choose Myvi 😂
Feels like, from the video, we can say Ativa is better suited to go slower and shorter distance in city or suburb, dealing with uneven malaysia road. But for those who need to travel rather long distances, Myvi would be much better on the wallet. I think with so much rear legroom, Myvi deserves a better seat.
I just wished the Ativa is a bit longer so the back seat feels as spacious as Myvi, rear seat folds flat and CarPlay
I bought both. I can say both has plus and minus. The Ativa is better put together since it is built from ground up. The MyVi got the electronics and transmission upgrades from the Ativa. Around town for parking and as a runaround the MyVi still the go to. I dislike the slowing down mid corner of the MyVi though where it pulls back more than wanted. The red accents in the interior is painful to the eye.
Comfort wise the Ativa definitely... End of the day for their respective prices ok lah.
Ativa more comfort la then? I drive my wife myvi, well i dont like it in term of comfort. Lalu potholes/jalan tak rata vibrate mcm ape dah kereta. Nak kata suspension keras, handling pun biasa2 je. Haha
Yaris n city hatch the better choice, but u have to pay more
OMG FINALLY! Some1 who actually has a chosen opinion at the end of the video. Thank u for choosing. =D
Very good topics on the chapter covered 👍
My choice would be myvi just because more powerful due to 0-100km/h sprint test and more economical petrol usage.. other then that, all come afterwards..
As for maintenance also, myvi would be cheaper due to smaller size rim and naturally aspirated engine.. less complex engine..
for me i pick both both are very good cars this is my two cars in the future for my garage
I like the last part, it take just 1 little things to make a big decision such as the water bottle.
Ativa makes more sense in this time now in terms if safety and packaging plus form and functionality.
The fact that ativa is underpowered in highway and more fuel consumption even though it's a turbocharge. Myvi gonna be easier to maintain longterm and probably have better resale value for na engine. They also didn't mention the quality of myvi interior is slightly better then ativa that have more cheaper plastic. They also didn't mention the 3cyclinder engine tremble during idle that will get worse over time. The only good thing about ativa is the height, comfort and technology. So if ur looking for higher seating position and comfortability go for ativa. Else just go myvi literally better all rounder better car for both city/highway and better fuel consumption. 🍻
Hai Apa Khabar I choose Perodua Ativa 👍🏻😊
Betul, tak semua orang concern tentang segmen. Mereka berkemampuan nak beli either Ativa/Myvi, cuma tak pasti nak pilih yang mana. Nak buat comparison kereta tak semestinya kena sama segmen 😎
Hi Adrian, what do you think about the naked undercarriage front, was it purposely design so for better ventilation as turbocharged engine are usually hotter than NA.
someone really needs to do a comparison between Ativa and the low spec Vios, City, Almera
DNGA platform is a huge step forward for Perodua, Ativa worths every penny over Myvi if pocket allows.
It's actually a Toyota Raize here in Singapore so using TNGA platform has alot of advantages.
@@comments7335 This is not TNGA but DNGA, DNGA is designed for emerging market as a lower cost platform
Tbh im not fan of Ativa Boxy Design..looking on Digital Meter speed like Calculator or Digital Weight Scale..Vibration during iddle, underfloor and steering can still vibration transfer to Driver, start shock teribly bad due to natural imbalance 3piston, i believe mounting and bushing performance are easy to drop after years..cheers mate just my POV..
If I were to order a Myvi AV now, how long is the que right now? 2 months? 3?
There's people who think about the range topping myvi vs the cheapest variant ativa, which is more bang for buck and better driver (assumption) satisfaction after the purchase?
By just looking at the interior design between Myvi and Ativa, you will see the huge gap between Japanese design and Malaysian design standard. The striking red colour seat and red lining dashboard in Myvi is damn fugly and childishly kindergarten level design. I hope Perodua make changes by removing all those unnecessary striking colours in the interior, don't be like Proton (pre-Geely).
I think a lot of buyers are considering the Ativa because the new Myvi's waiting list is too long 😅
Ativa has a 2 monts waiting list as well
I got my myvi less than 3 weeks 😌
@@syafiqali7768 what spec u choose
Hi, is the dB rating standard or dBA rated?
I will choose the Myvi。
Oddly enough I'm not a fan of both SUV's and hatchbacks. Especially the Myvi since it's a famous car here. I prefer sedans simply because I like the exterior of it more. But after seeing the new Myvi announced and watching the reviews, the Myvi just wins my heart. Simply because it's exterior styling looks sharper and sportier compared to its predecessor, and it's safety features are really good. Particularly the blind spot monitors, because the moment I saw that feature I was like "Okay I'm sold on this car. Now I want this". I just wish the infotainment system would look more modern, and the climate control would use those circular round knobs instead of plain buttons.
Hello , can I get opinions from your guys
Usage car
1. Kajang to Shah Alam (work daily x6)
2. Monthly will have atleast once outstations
3.Weekend nearby 5km have supermarkets need to buy groceries
I'm eligible both Ativa and myvi AV spec, which car will be better based on this list. I'm planning to used more than 15 years because planning to buy house next step.Once more stable maybe will buy 2nd car. Kindly suggest me which better for my situation
market trend SUV more than a sedan/hatchback.... and for those live in sabah, will choose SUV more than sedan/hatchback
LOL Adrian, door cards that accept larger water bottles? Would have to agree with you, the Activa with the NA 1.5l and the the Myvi with the FI 1.0l is more suitable.
I want to see a comparison between Activa and Ativa
0:44 ... I am remembering the Wapcar article titled If you need a 9-year loan, you can’t afford the car
Just wondering, why Perodua do not use 1.5l engine from Myvi? And Perodua also got the 1.3l one from Bezza. Isn't it better to use a 4cylinder engine?
If use the 1.3l and add the turbo, won't it be better, less rattling & more power?
Compare Myvi & Ativa, i prefer the Ativa, because the interior looks & the boot space. But i prefer the 1.5l engine from myvi.
More sensible for you to ask Daihatsu about it. Perodua just follow Rocky specs with some minor tweaks/changes.
Could be the engine bay is built to just mount 3-cyls only.
Toyota & Daihatsu never fit 4-cyls in this DNGA-A platform in their Raize/Rocky.
Only DNGA-B platform in the new Xenia/Avanza/Veloz uses 4-cyls
@@kayprime20 That make sense, mybe the e-smart hybrid will give a different driving experience.
I choose Ativa best
Swap ativa GBox to myvi perfect.
Ativa should use 1.5 NA engine. Not that 1.0 turbo engine, so sad.... Vibration and mounting engine will become an issue on the long run.
Indeed
@@s3c0r1gin4 experiencing with my current axia. Planning upgrade to ativa but that engine make me think twice 😅
If you feel used to be okay with the vibration engine coming from your axia.Just go with ativa.Otherwise go with myvi
Ya betul…memang kedua-dua kereta beza kelas mereka tetapi memang ada persoalan sebegini…bagus adrian sebab try bantu pembeli kerana pembeli yang akan keluarkan wang…
Can u guys compare city V sensing vs ativa av
Ativa AV gets Blind Spot Monitor, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, 360 camera and Rear Disc Brakes as City V Sensing doesn't have
Good effort Adrian. But you've been diplomatic... hehehe. You're a Ativa owner yourself. My take, the price difference is worth it. Go for the Ativa.
p/s: just hated the overcooked MYVI red interior.. especially the seats but love the DRL
but I'm still choose ativa
Ativa....😎👍
Already bought d new myvi av, 👍
how long is the waiting list
@@SinZCrosS about 2 months, bcoz of CNY, but depend on which area, some less than 1 mth, some r more than 3mths😂
If i have to choose between this two, i will just go for myvi & save some money. Because other then ride high, they're not much different (especially after the facelift myvi have shared some part with ativa).
DNGA does make some difference other than ride height, Ativa rides surprisingly well and the chassis is better sorted despite being higher. Until Myvi has DNGA, Ativa definitely feels like a better package thanks to the newer platform.
@@wong924 yeah ativa definitely ride better. But in terms of daily ride & usage it's not a very big different. It's not like ativa ride like a c-segment or build better or have much better tech, it's still ride & feels like a affordable b-segment car. I don't says they're definitely same, it's just not different enough for me to spend that 10k more.
this question just like buy a slipper or sneaker 😂
Ativa is in no man's land now imo. If you want a cheap and cheerful small car with many safety features, buy a myvi. If you want a bigger and more refined car with greater quality, get a brv, hrv, x50, x70, corolla cross or other larger suvs.
Hence, Ativa is sorta like a expensive "waiting" car for young adults. You buy it and wait to sell it later in your life when you career picks up, except that it is far more expensive than other "waiting" cars like Myvi, Iris, Axia, Saga etc.
Since the Ativa 1.0 turbo is slower , and sucks more petrol compared to Myvi, why oh why Perodua choose to have a 1.0 turbo on the Ativa in the first place ??? Give it the 1.5 NA and you will get my money.
Different Between king's and queen
69db nice
I like the ativa.. its so jdm .. lol
Myvi av Vs Bezza AV
Haha, I'll choose both if my financial allow.. 🤣
Sure! 😂
Which one u buy? Alza, Ativa or Aruz? Price quite similar
Wait for the all-new Alza www.wapcar.my/news/production-of-old-alza-to-stop-by-endapril-allnew-2022-perodua-alza-to-launch-in-may-40190
Adrian, waiting for new myvi vs city hatchback vs Yaris comparisons
U can watch the comparison Perodua Myvi Vs Jazz
For the price of Ativa 72k definately i will skip Perodua
The engine of Activa costs more to maintain
Are u sure?
I love that wap car air freshener
The ativa isn't an SUV. It's a car shaped like an SUV. 1.0L with no 4wd or even AWD? The nerve to even call it an SUV. I would consider the Kembara more of an SUV than the ativa. At least the Kembara has a locking differential 4wd.
Ativa x (basic) is better value than myvi av.
What made u so sure about that?
@@yongpotato8176same price. Depending personal preferences, ativa basic is bigger size, bigger bootspace, higher ground(suv body), relatively more comfy ride better than myvi.
Myvi now looks so low compared to 1st gen. My family owned the 1st Gen n still have. Its looks better compared to low new myvi
agreed
uncle like me Myvi is better
You can really feel the vibration during idle on the Ativa. Major deal breaker for me and I think the vibration will get worse as times goes by
bla…bla….bla…. in the end… both model still not having Apple Carplay…. so Big NO…. year of 2022…. why Perodua still using smartlink? everyone rushing lol… need plug n play in a few second lol….
