    Thanks for the video, I was stationed at the foot of Monkey Mountain in Da Nang, in 1966/67 use to go swimming at China Beach, man has it changed completely different from my time there.

    I believe that is the DLG Hotel in the distance at about 1:38 into your video. A beautiful hotel and worthy of a stay. Paradise bar right on the beach is also a fav of mine.

    I just walked this one yesterday, from the one end, to the other its 2 hours fast walk 👍 Beautiful area for long walks, 20-30 coffee shops, small restaurants and good beach spots on the way. I have to say i am very impressed with Da Nang, Vietnam 👍 Your video shows this place in a beautiful way, loved it! 👍👍🎉🎉🍾🍾

      Make sure you visit the temple there up on the cliff. It's the largest in Vietnam and has amazing views.

    Love Da Nang. I turned Buddhist after visiting here and going to the temple up on the cliff. Only thing that is sad is you are not allowed to swim in the sea there.

    Đó không phải là chùa Trung Quốc , Đây là một Miếu Thờ cá Voi cách đây 400 năm do làng chài xây dựng để tỏ lòng tôn kính mỗi khi cá Voi chết. Bạn có thể xem thêm Theo hồi cố của những bậc cao niên thì Lăng Ông Phước Mỹ được xây dựng năm 1900, cách đây 115 năm, tại bờ biển thờ cá Ông (còn gọi là cá Voi) được ngư dân tôn vinh là vị cứu tinh. Trước đây cá Ông lụy vào, nhân dân làm lễ an táng trang nghiêm theo đúng nghi lễ cúng tế truyền thống của những người làm biển. Sau một thời gian nhân dân cải táng và đen bộ xương cá Ông vào thờ trong lăng. Đến sau năm 1975 bộ xương được an táng. Tục thờ cá Ông đã có tại làng Mỹ khê cách đây hơn 400 năm, từ khi những bậc tiền hiền trong làng đến nơi này khai hoang lập nghiệp, sống bằng nghề đánh bắt hải sản trên biển.

    I'm looking at that Mad Platters menu...thats cheaper entress than an Applebees in Bunghole Oklahoma(and applebees entry's are preprepared and microwaved). Dont think the Tiger Shimp annd calimari are freshly sourced at your local TGI's or Applebees either... just try to find that place on Miami Beach or the Vegas strip without dropping a hundred U.S. I might be in love with the Da Nang area.
    Anybody got a good Moray Eel recipe? asking for whoever shops at that "aquarium"

    My first time in Da Nang & Vietnam from TH. Is it the most free country around? No imposed closing times for bars & alcohol sales. Very little police presence. Scooterbiking around is pretty wacky & fun. Everyone seems well behaved. It is a bit odd though and doesn't have much charm until the sun goes down (in my humble opinion) Is there a real city here somewhere or does it exist entirely for tourism like Cancun & the like? Anyway, good vid. Tks

    Vietnamese architecture is heavily influenced by Chinese tradition and little touch of French. Even though Vietnam is geographically considered Southeast Asia but it is Sinosphere country just like Korea, Japan, and Taiwan, also known as the East Asian Cultural Sphere, which are regions that have been influenced by Chinese culture, literacy, and traditions.

      It’s called Star Hotel. It’s a nice location. The staff is friendly and it has a swimming pool at the rooftop. No coffee or tea in the room and the rooms are a bit older :) perfect for 9usd. You also can check on Agoda 😊

    Wayne guy compared Da Nang with Chiangmai! It's a lame comparison. In Vietnam, Da Lat can be compared to Chiang Mai, so I really want you to come to Da Lat to see how it compares to Chiang Mai.

      @@Chai_Travel Da Nang also has a beach behind the city called Xuan Thieu, it is also very long and has casuarina trees there and there is a bicycle path. I think you should explore that beach.

      Yeah I went to that same restaurant and was surprised but if you head inland into the city there's lots of restaurants you can get a good steak for 15 dollars or get meat and seafood buffet for like 20 USD for two people.

    Putting the food in the front is so unprofessional...they need to move the aquarium at the restaraunt to the back. because it is a health hazard. also kitchens need to be open...

      Sorry mate! I’ll keep it in mind for next time. I do find it interesting wherever I go what different WCs look like so what I at least can do is give you a couple of seconds heads up before I show them so you know to look away for a bit 😅
