This is complicated and endless civil war.Civil war before I born and I'm 23 now. The civil war is ongoing.The Rambo 2008 movie situation is everyday.This is a full circle.

How is the weather in bagan? It was good?

If there is no junta army ruled from 1960s, definitely Myanmar is richer than Thailand or Malaysia now. Geographically they in strategic location between China and India, rich with resources, they can speak English quite ok and rich history which is great for tourism.

True ! Since the reunification, North Viet took the South and its people never been treated well. Full of lottery sellers. Uneducated kids. Extremely expensive education system. High rate of unemployment. Most of them can not speak English.

33 years ago they created New Began... Its not a recent thing and was a good thing back then. Where you are looks just like it did when I was there 12 years ago and even then there was poverty just like every country in the world. Inflation has always been a problem and 13 years ago they only accepted US$ in the limited places you could stay... I am not saying there is no war but you do seem to be dramatizing it a bit. The lack of tourist is mostly because of the over cautious travel advisories.

Malaysia has Malaysian Chinese, Indian and Malays. Sadly, Malaysia doesn't have many Malaysians.
