also, "Grab" is a good app to use so you know the price in advance but you need to get a local Vietman number/sim card to have it. Sometimes just get the hotel to arrange them is often better.

I just left Danang 2 days ago to Bangkok , it was bloody hot all day every day, I watched the fire/water show and I also went to the bamboo bar to watch footy, I stayed beach Front where you walked along the beach. There are plenty of of sea view rooms deals on Agoda, go to the beach at 5pm onwards and thousands of Vietnamese will be there, I had a great time there

Also Bob hope did one of his Christmas specials from there. The beach was nicknamed China beach there was a USA tv show inspired by it. At the beach, the prices for ALL services are on the signs and the menus, per government mandate. This is to prevent price gouging. And the Da Nang government is very serious about this, and about disallowing street vendors and loitering. This is not true of other beaches in VN, and is a primary reason why Da Nang stands out as a great destination for expats. So make sure you're standing in front of a sign or a menu with prices when you order stuff on the beach, so you can point to the prices.

27:30 The language barrier feels so painful, Zane. You might need someone who can speak Vietnamese to go with you, or you could use google translate and show them what you want to say. Seeing you buying the towel from the old lady is painful. It's not expensive, it's just the language barrier. Vietnam is supposed to be cheap if you come prepared. Be a smart traveler and don't pay more than what you have to.
