Roberto Carlos was good too. Stuart Pearce was less pretty, but very effective. I think it's fair to claim Beckham as one of the all-time best. Pearce might be the 'worst' of all mentioned so far - but with Nigel Clough deliberately winning free kicks in just the right place I reckon Pearce might have scored as many in his career as the rest. Should try and look that up, but I can't be bothered lol.
