I’ve watched Zubimendi (not read)for years at Sociedad and he’s not that good. Yeah he’s tall and had hold the ball relatively well but he’s slow, usually never goes stays in that dead ball zone to long shot cause he’s not particularly good at that either and he’s an average passer & in general is technically and below-average physically. Even his stats are average and they having significantly improved over the years. He’s nowhere near world class or elite. Honestly he’s not better than Xhaka look at how they’ve both played even for the past 2-3 years + stats. Personally Arsenal should go for Federico Redondo, Matt O’Riley, Youssouf Fofana and Mats Wieffer. But it would cool to see De Jong but Arsenal need quality squad depth that’s what they should’ve focused on last summer so that this upcoming one they’d sign those Pedri, De Jong type players but Arteta wanted to do lab experiments with Havertz on 280K a week. Anyways those won’t cost more than 60-70M altogether

Why is it pretty much every big Manchester City game against the big 6, these titles say something along the lines of Manchester City to lose as if City doesn't have a track record of beating most of them.
Also just because City didn't beat Real Madrid doesn't mean Chelsea who've struggled for the past 2 seasons are suddenly a super performing team. RM is levels above everyone defensively compared to everyone besides Arsenal this season.

Madueke has a very small sample size and shouldn't be put on that pedestal. However, his one on one with defenders is so great. He is one of the only wingers that wants to beat his fullbacks properly. I think he needs more game time as well as some improvements. He simply does not have any stat right now, he hasn't played that much games.

In the season 2019/2020 Alexander Isak, Martin Zubimendi and Martin Ödegaard all played for Real Sociedad.....
Ödegaard left in the summer 2020 and Isak left in january 2023...

I disagree with Staffy about the lack of physicality in the Arsenal team. They need gamebreakers. Their CB pairing is very physical, and Havertz is a physical presence too. Same with Rice and Ben White. They need a clutch, gamebreaker or someone who has the potential to be. Like Husam said, if Rodrygo is available, Arsenal need to move mountains to get him. Or get someone like Kimmich who is a leader and a proven winner.

Staffy's analysis on Arsenal in the zubimendi section is poor. Arsenal are physically fine. Size wise and physicality they matchup against every team including city now. The reason they lost to Bayern due to class of player and experience. Fine margins, and I love Ben white, but he struggled at points against Bayern and missed a big chance. bayern has Kimmich who shut down martinelli without much help and scored the winning goal in the tie. That is the level of player we need. Husam is right. We need match winners. Its funny cause this team is better than the Ozil-Sanchez teams, but those two and especially Sanchez were match winners. There older and in their prime which is a big asterisk. This team's core is still very young

Teams to challenge Man City next season I believe will be Arsenal Liverpool Chelsea and if Man Utd change some players possibly Man Utd.
as a Chelsea fan realistically we will not challenge for the title next season, would be ecstatic if we do but I don't see how we can do it this early with these young players. But we MUST get top 4 to get CL otherwise big teams will try and lure our best players away if we continue another season without European football.
Unless cfc add 4+ experienced quality players to the starting 11 there will be no challenging for top 4
