Andrea, if drawing is what you feel is your limitation, you can always grab a coloring book with images you like, glue it to a canvas and then fill the image in. Alternatively I'm sure there are tracables available. Because you're right we all have the skills to cut, colour and paste. I'm still learning how to put the images together, I guess that will come with practice. Unfortunately I haven't really found any tutorials on youtube forthe style of collage I want to create. There are a ton of junk journals etc, but that's not my thing. Anyway, glad you liked her ❤

I never had good results from mod podge, ever. But gel mediums, the best stuff ever!! Love this piece! You're giving me inspiration! 😊

I don’t have patience for doing this, but, I love those who do have a image in their minds and can put it onto canvas. It’s so cool!
I guess I don’t have the patience mainly because I don’t have the capacity or ability to do a drawing.
I love this.
As for the music, the voice is pretty, I don’t care for the rapid repeat style. But, it is different.
I find it interesting how many people comment that they don't have the patience for this. I have zero patience for people, but when it comes to art I do .... thats not to say I don't get frustrated, but that's different. Funny how I can have this song play on repeat for hours and your like .... not so much 😉

I have zero patience for people ... but art feels different (well mixing paint is my limit for patience .... so let me rephrase .... I have zero patience for people and mixing paint to pour when they all need to be a particular consistency 🙃)

I have been doing collage for a couple of years with our twenty-five year old son who has specialneeds, but have never worked with magazine pages. They deffinatly glue down with a challenge of keeping the wrinkles out. You mentioned putting a varnish on this piece when your done. What did you use?
Hi D'Edra (love the name btw). I can imagine working on collage with your son must be a great bonding experience for the both of you .... trying to jigsaw everything together ❤️ I agree that gluing down without wrinkles is challenging, so I've just learned to embrace them ... I wish I could say the same for the ones I'm getting as I age 🙄 . I used a satin finish varnish by liquitex, since the gel medium I use has the same level of sheen and I was happy with that, I went with the same gloss level so it wouldn't change anything. Hope that helps!

What is the name and of the man gel medium you used to paste the paper with?
It's called gel medium, liquitex and other brands make a version. I prefer the gloss, but you can buy it in matt finish too.
