    I haven't striped in years, and just recently started up again, mostly for myself. Your video is awesome. You have an amazing way with your tutorial and description. Thanks and I look forward to seeing more of your videos. Sometimes it takes a little coaching to bring back the memories of a skill you seemingly forgot. Thanks. I'm newly inspired.

      @@villapinstriping trying to see what I need for thinning and clean up and storing my brushes. I just bought the 1shot paint and brushes. I've been painting for year's but I've been using rustolum paint water base clean up. I like it because of the easy clean up. I made my own custom brush using hair I glued to a short stick with sowing thread. The hair holds paint and cleans off with soap and water never used it for oil based paints thought it would damage the hair with solvents clean up. So I can just use mineral spirit for thinning and clean up. Do I have to buy the 1shot brush 1shot brush cleaner? It is very expensive $30 buck's plus 1shot high temp reducers ? Can I use food safe oil to put on brush to store when not in use, I hear other's using motor oil? Vegetable oil sounds better for the brush hairs but I don't know anything about how to take care of the expensive brushes any feed back will be helpful thanks

    When I try to get my right side s curves, I "flick out" and smear every damn time. But if I attemot to make it thicker, my line weight is very inconsistent. I try to spin the brush as I change directions, but I'm still working on a fluid motion. Any tips you can give me on changing directions in one stroke?

      Sounds like you may just not have enough time under the brush. I didn't start to get decent outcomes until after the first year. I would generally see small improvements every few months.
      besides that I would say you probably don't have the paint reduced properly, you are either over reducing or under reducing also you might just be moving way too fast or trying to hit turns that aren't usually easy to do. you might also be pushing down too hard.
      there are many reasons why this could be happening to you but like I say it all comes in time with a lot of practice.

      So much for the magic wand answer I hoped you had in your back pocket...
      Your quick response is much appreciated. I own a body shop and do some pretty high end custom paint. The only thing holding me back from "the next level" is clean pinstriping. So, back to the pallet and nose to the grindstone I suppose! Regardless, I'm still picking up a lot of what you're putting down, so thanks again!

    Question since im just starting pinstriping i dont know the exact "THERMANOLOGY" Example " MINERAL SPIRITS" would you be able to break it down to its simpler form..?😬😅🙈😂. Or the exact name on the product To be able to purchase the correct mix. Like yesterday i at the store I ASKED FOR "REDUCER" but on the CAN LABLE it Says "CHROMAFLO 6000 FlOw EnHanCer".. Is it correct? Thank you.

    • @villapinstriping
      @villapinstriping  Před rokem

      Mineral Spirits is basically (Paint thinner)
      If you're using enamel paint. You can also use (Turpentine) or (Naptha)..
      All of those examples will evaporate over time leaving a few only the paint.
      Chromaflow is an additive that does not evaporate. It helps the paint flow out of the brush evenly. It's really not a reducer.
      If it's 1 shot stuff ask for (low temp reducer) or (high temp reducer)
      Or any of the other reducers stated above

    • @luisjuarez9860
