    Very dope. I got mine yesterday, and I'm thirsty to put them on, but I saw the directions talk about sealing them first. 🤦‍♂️ Still haven't installed them. I want to do this right. So I'm buying this sealant and Headlight coating today. Great vid bro. Very in depth on how to do the sealant. Thanks.

      @@StayDrivenMedia aha yeah just installing the headlights but leaving out some important info like that, like my g has the under panels still to keep the water and mud from getting into the headlight part, so i was like im good,NOPE water got into the top one and flowed down the ballast and high beam light bulb went out. I was like alright easy fix replace the bulb, didnt see any water anywhere, so i unhooked the light and mann when i flipped the headlight over to get the bulb out water went everywhere smh

    • @StayDrivenMedia

      Around the out side seal, but not all the seals, because the ones around the ballast are air ports that are necessary to keep the headlight cool so it doesnt melt.

      @@StayDrivenMedia yeah dude ultra black silicone sealant from autozone, it's only like 2 inches at the very bottom when it does happen but I dont see any other places I can seal

    • @StayDrivenMedia
      @StayDrivenMedia  Před 3 lety

      @@shane4663 there is another hole towards the lower center that has a small rubber capped hole, but that’s to allow the headlights to breathe due to the heat in the headlights, I would check the caps that you use to cover the ballast , the part where the guts of the lights go and see if that’s not closed/sealed correctly...I also put a small amount of sillicone inside the edges and closed the cap behind it, that’s probably where your air leak is coming from.

    • @shane4663
      @shane4663 Před 3 lety +1

      @@StayDrivenMedia ahh I see the rubber tonsil looking thing with the hole now that's the only spot not sealed up, is it bad to seal it or should I allow the headlight to breathe

    • @StayDrivenMedia
      @StayDrivenMedia  Před 3 lety +2

      @@shane4663 for me, i didnt seal it, only because that ballast creates alot of heat, i simply added more sillicone to the caps where the ballast goes, like inside the grooves where it seals, and everywhere else, and i have havent had condensation issues at all, i dont want to tell you to seal that little rubber tonsil piece, even though it might very well be the problem for you, because i dont want it getting TOO hot inside the light casing and fry or melt anything...what i would do is contact SpecD, and let them know that you are having major condensation issues, and that your next move is to cap off that "tonsil rubber cap" with sillicone, and see if they advise it, because they might be able to give you a solution or even better a new headlight unit....because no one that have done this method has had any issues afterwards.....i hope i helped you bro, let me know what they say.
