  • It’s hard to believe it but drinking water in certain situations can actually be harmful for you. Find out some simple rules to follow to save your health and the health of your family.     There are at least 3 reasons why you should avoid drinking water before going to sleep: you’ll be running to the bathroom throughout the night, you might notice some facial and limb swelling in the morning, and the volume of your blood increases dangerously. Experts say that excessive water intake while exercising can have several negative side effects. Completely clear urine is a sign of over-hydration. If you have colorless urine, you’re probably drinking too much water during the day, even when you don't feel thirsty. You should never drink water after eating something spicy like chili peppers. Having too much water with your meal often leads to indigestion. This happens because your mouth produces saliva, which has enzymes that are essential for a healthy digestive process.
    It may seem like a great idea to refresh yourself on a hot summer day by drinking some water from the garden hose. But even if the hose is connected to a pipe with a clean water system, the pipe itself contains elements that can be really dangerous for your health. If you accidentally get some water in your mouth while swimming in the sea, you should spit it out immediately. Not unless you want to spend your whole vacation suffering from rotavirus and all its nasty symptoms. It’s important to remember that drinking excessive amounts of water leads to low sodium levels and unpleasant side effects.

    -Artificial sweeteners actually increase your appetite and can lead to weight gain.
    -If you accidentally swallow some sea water, the concentration of salt in your blood will skyrocket.

    -If you drink too much water you can develop hyponatremia, which involves seizures, headaches, vomiting, depression, and other unpleasant symptoms.

      lumine's love werewolf Most of these situations aren't harmful for you. I do most of these, we've all done it.. Nothing bad happens unless it's EXCESSIVE water. I'm pretty sure you'll know when your body is full of water.

    Actually drinking water before sleep is said to be really good
    It prevents you from a sudden heart attack and it provides your body with all the nutrients for healthy and safe sleep
    I personally had a small kidney problem before but water is what helped me get rid of it and now thankfully,my kidneys are totally safe
    So I disagree

    This is actually so wrong I drink so much water and it resulted in better sleep and much higher stamina and energy. I then observed my body when I stopped drinking alot of water I became less healthy and energy was super low....Not a hater but Bright sides wrong this time

      I was also asking same question. Any during workouts yes it's not good drinking while training. I'm a trainer and I have experienced that.

      During workouts in the heat, you should drink a little to keep yourself hydrated. Otherwise, you’ll throw up or pass out. But drinking TOO MUCH during a workout can have the side effects the video explained. I live in Texas where summers get around 115 degrees. You have to have water. But you have to balance it.

    I listened to you last night and didn't drink (much) before going to bed and when I woke up during the night. I woke up three times anyway, was thirsty and got grumpy and now I woke up in the morning with a headache. Nope, that rule is not for me.

      Bubbler Gt too much of ANYTHING is bad for you. I have a masters in nutritional sciences so have studied all this thoroughly. Its usually whats in the food that can make it toxic. I could argue dairy foods are good for you or carbohydrates. Its about having a balance. In fruits and vegetables there are nutrients such as vitamins and minerals that if you overdose; there can be fatal side effects just like there are side effects for deficiencies. Just search any nutrient overdose (e.g. folic acid overdose) and you will find journals and a list of side effects of nutrient toxicity. Not safely processing pulses such as kidney beans is dangerous due to the toxins.

      Finally some people with healthy reasoning. This IS the Truth. People are forgetting more and more that the path of moderation and balance is the key to everything. The deep sacred feel of what is right and natural is fading due to the immense materialism of this era. And people today are left with their dry ego and its extremes, thus saying this like "eating 50kg of fruit is healthy for you!". You would be close to death from the ammount of sugars alone from all those fruits, lets not mention all of the other things...

    The water during working out is real. I had an electrolyte deficiency and nearly died bruh. It was from drinking excessive amounts of water during training. My doctor told me if I must drink something to sip water or to swirl a big amount around in mouth. He also recommended that I drink Gatorade if I must have liquids .. I was staying away from sugars at the time but Gatorade truly helped.

    In other video of urs....related to water..... I've just watched... U said any amount of water during eating does not dilute gastric acid...... In fact any liquid doesn't.... The Reason People Say It's Dangerous Is Because You're Body Goes Into What I Can Describe As A Kind Of Water Saving Mode So It Tries To Use Less And Keeps It Stored. This Is Really Hard To Make Lethal Though.

      Actually you are correct. As long as you don't drink a whole lot of water, you're fine. While you're sleeping, your body enters a state of "Cleaning mode". During this time, it does indeed need water for this. Don't let yourself dehydrate, but at the same time, do not drink way too much at one time. That's all they're trying to say.

    You are not drinking too much water. Disregard everything you heard in this video. This channel is full of misinformation from poor research. They often leave out important details, such as the volume of water that is "dangerous" to consume. In short, to avoid hyponatremia, don't consume more than 5 gallons of water in a day. As if you were going to do that if someone didn't tell you not to...
