Also sorry for the reverb of the video we're watching. We are working out the process to improve the sound! We wanted to avoid headphones but might be necessary. We didnt want to use the podcast set as its a bit awkward with how far apart we sit.
dont stress mate its fine!! Love the videos!
Seems fine to me. People always find something to complain about lol.
It's all good, Jay! Phil's laugh makes up for everything!
Jay it's supposed to be a silly video for fun. Don't worry about the sound.
Sounds was fine. What is odd is the camera angle, as it forces perspective to only you and Phil. It comes across that Jay's back is to Nick and that Nick is odd man out.
Thank you Jay!! I remember watching you when I was 15 and you had 10,000 subscribers. Now I'm 25 and just recently graduated as an engineer in computer science, in no small part thanks to you, Linus and others who all sparked my interest for computers and technology.
Similar thing happened to me, started geeking on tech videos back in 2011, built my first PC in 2012 and now I'm about to graduate from the same major as you!
@@yodead369 Little insecure mate?
i found jay from linus and the then youtube algorithm.
Linus?!?!? What did you learn from that clown? How to drop and break everything??? 🤣🤣🤣🤡🤡🤡
Congratulations Itzaak98 on your graduation. The show was pretty funny but Phil's thought bubble kept advertising fast food. Nick is way to quiet but knowledgeable in the field. Thanks for the throwback show.
Takeaways from this video: Nick is the most chill MF ever and Phil laughs maniacally at just about anything.
He has that when you’re boss makes a joke and you need a raise laugh
You guys need to do this every so often. This was a fun video.👍 The sound wasn't to bad either. Just had an echo effect is all.
Blew my mind to hear you guys say Victorville and Inland Empire. I was born in Victorville 40+ years ago. I left the High Desert area over 20 years ago and you made me a little nostalgic. Thanks for the walk down memory lane :)
Your amazing editing skills are still amazing at 17:41 when you have the same shot in PIP. 🤣 I like this idea too. It gives you guys a chance to do something low-effort, and it's an amusing look back for those of us who came in later to the game. So it's a win-win.
you were and still are one of my go to guys when it comes to computer related stuff, I started watching your videos in 2015 if im not mistaken, and ive been a fan ever since. Keep going man!
Thank you jay, and team ❤️ for every single video over the years.
in 2014 jay built me 4 computers for my business. used these cases. still all work great. Built me a gaming computer for my home, but i replaced that, but it was really nice. Gave it to my computer guy. Jay is the best. really nice person.
Glad I found this channel. Parts for my first build came in the mail today!
Jay, you were one of the reasons i decided to build my first computer in 2013. Thanks for all the great content over the years! Keep up the fantastic work!
I have been with your channel since the beginning. I miss your old house office, then your garage, then the best setup that you had in that storage area with the stairs….then the okay area you have now. I remember all the times that you ALWAYS got zapped by unboxing cases ( Fractal Node cases in case you want to look that up ) and when COCONUTMUNKY ( Nick ) left….and came back.
It’s been a wild ride for sure.
I love the evolution... We all start somewhere, but it's crazy to see how much you evolved the channel over the years.
For whatever reason your channel has given me the motivation to start my own and honestly seeing this old video makes me feel that it is possible. Yes, a lot of people say it is, but sounds like shtuff when you are filimg witha 4k/8k full frame camera and have a trained/professional person to edit and actually live of your content. THIS is a boost of confidence since i can relate about doing/thinking stuff while at work and, again, makes me feel that with the right amount of effort and patience i can make it there. Hope that one day i get to meet you in person. Keep it up!
I still remember Jay's rant video about the Titan and that Nic's interruption when he flings open the door asking if he saw the Titan announcement! 🤣🤣
I think I found your channel back in late 2012 or early 2013. I don't remember how long ago the videos were, but the "Will It Cool" videos where you took different liquids and put them in a cooling loop to see how well they cool vs standard deionized water. That was back when you were still in your garage. The "Will It Cool" were some of my favorite videos from years ago.
I loved seeing this so much dude! To see your progression from that long ago (even though I started watching you a little more than 3 years ago) is incredible Well done, ALL of you!
Honestly this was a refreshing, and fun, video! It's enjoyable to me when a content creator can look back and light heartedly critique their own work, plus it really shows the growth from the early days.
Awesomesauce!! Nothing like seeing how videos and editing have transformed over the years.
From one Jay to another.
I've always enjoyed seeing you guys just hang out. I love this kid of stuff.
I feel you all should have had popcorn while watching it. hope you guys are here for us another 10+yrs.
This was great haha! I always like when CZcams recommends me some of your older videos to watch, because It's always a blast seeing how far you've come. Would love more videos like this.
Wish I could've been there for the beginning. You're the best, Jay. Thank you for the content.
I love checking out the old content. I think I been following you since 2017.
Please make more like thise. The concept is great
Thanks for this blast from the past. I've been watching you since early 2013 and....wow. I completely forgot about that intro. Congrats Jay!
this is a welcome change of pace in the content, wouldn't mnd see more like this down the road
Congrats on a 10-11 years of CZcams. Thanks for all the content, especially the build tutorials. Love looking back at the JayzTwoCents tech time capsule.
I enjoyed going back in time with you all !! Loved the fomat including the whole team.
I've been watching your videos since the middle July of 2014. You had the FX 8320 watercooled, and it had soft tubing in the first video I watched. You were the main person that helped get me back in to pc gaming and building. I'm still building and gaming. Thanks Jay
I'd really enjoy it if you kept doing these looks back at older videos for your milestones. I first started watching you when you were still working on Skunk Works so its been quite a journey since then. Keep up the awesome videos, Jay!
This was great to see. Started watching before Skunkworks and it’s amazing to see the channel growth! Will love to see more of these react videos.
I don't remember when I saw your first video or subscribed, but it was a while back.
This is a trip down memory lane, good fun!
only started watching you in the last month really love your videos really enjoyed the video keep up the great work
So frecking good!! Please do this more often!! Could pick a video of the month to do something like that!
This was a very cool video. I love looking back at all the cool tech 10+ years ago. I got into this thing of ours back in 2008 and when I see old tech like this is brings back all the "kid at Christmas" feelings I had when learning about and searching reviewes for gear back then. And I STILL use my OG BlackWidow Ultimate keyboard. It's my all time favorite keyboard to type on.
im really glad to see how far you have come, congrats and it was a good video idea
That intro, man that brought me back to when I first started building and was watching Jays “crazy” builds and dreaming.
Man has things changed a good amount. I remember when I first began watching your videos 10 years ago. Watched a lot of your comparisons between FX-8350 and i7-2700K/i7-3700k videos to help me decide on my first CPU. Also remember you played a lot of battlefield 3 then too.
That was a blast :) Great point on using wood on carpet. I always get tile. Multitude of colors and patterns to match whatever flooring your using it on. Haven't been to the hardware store in a minute, but given how much wood went up, probably cheaper with tile right now :). More of these, as you feel the need to, please!! That was a great trip down memory lane :).
Love these types of videos, keep it up! Also, please bring back reviews of viewers’ PC setups!
Yes!! More, please.
Thanks, guys!! Love you!!
You guys are just fun as hell to watch :) I vote for more of these, or even the lazy rainy day video like yall made at the start of the year.
Great thing about watching something that far back is if you were around then you can really enjoy it. For those that weren't around or didn't go through it then really strikes them odd. It's great to see what old trends still live up and what went by the wayside. Keep looking back from time to time.
That is why I love to watch your videos. The humour you guys put in doesn't make me boring. I see you when I see you.
Freakin' hilarious! I definitely think you should drop one of these every now and then - maybe as a compare and contrast from "back then" to now from a tech standpoint. I really love retro computers and that includes the old DOS and Windows 95 stuff. Watching you guys react to the progress would be a fun excursion from the usual content. Plus, for anyone wanting to do CZcams on a more serious basis, they could learn what it takes to be successful. Regardless, loved this and hope to see more!
This was fun. I wasn't there for this but funny to see how you started out. I'm still in this position trying to figure out the best way to do it and make people wanna watch.
We need more of these look back videos, I loved this.
Loving your videos guys
I came across your channel a tad later,
had watercooling back in the 2000's but you inspired me to go hard tubing. and am still enjoying my build. and even I love the looks on the Corsair QL fans and pump
(and no I don't like the cable's on them, cuzz it's hell to manage and cover them up) .
Yet I am still enjoying my build, and hope to see some nice ones from you again in the future ^^
It's always fun to see how CC's start out, and the rawness of the early efforts. In this case though the fun was amplified because we see examples of how far some of the PC tech has come in such a short time, something we often don't notice from year to year unless you are constantly upgrading your rig.
Yes! This was fun, more please. :) A stroll down memory lane are often quite funny. It also lets you know that you have improved a lot even though it might not seem so.
One of the first videos I watched of yours was the red mist series. Feel in love with watercooling from then on
I'm on a different account now but I have been watching since November of 2015. I was building my first PC and I used your videos as a guide. I'll always be watching! Thank you for all the years of awesome content, wishing you all the best moving forward!
This was a great trip down memory lane, I would love to see more videos like this 👍
I would love to see more of this type of videos
This video was about the same time as the release of the Silverstone Raven RV-02. Now that was a unique case design. I finally replaced my RV-02 this year. 10 years of service from a case ain't bad.
That was an awesome video!!! Please do more of these!
I love this video and you should do more videos like this in the near future.
I remember coming across this channel many, many years ago after some popular build channels like tj harlow and another I can't remember at the moment stopped making content. Very thankful for Jay and the guys. ❤
Phil’s laugh ❤
Love the case, still using my Define XL.
Love that I am still using this case on the 2nd rebuild of my daily rig lol
Definitely awesome to see how far you've come. Would love more of these videos :p
That case may be old as hell, but I’m still using it to this day. It’s clean, quiet, and quality. Did all my builds in this thing.
Great seeing the past Jay. Thanks for the video. And yeah loving seeing the past.
my pc is still in a define r4 case, and you just blew my mind about the insulation.
i love my fractal design R5, always stays on the floor. great video guys, love your reactions
I still have my PC sitting on a cabinet shelf on the floor under my desk. Recently checked, it's not even really dusty. The Meshify is doing it's job.
Love your stuffs Jay.. Been a fan since I watched you review of the Kingston HyperX Clous II's.. :p
I just love how for part of the video there, we were watching Jay, Nick, and Phil watching the video..... with the feed of them watching the video in the corner as well. It's like Ok..... what are YOU watching?
That original intro took me back, been watching since we both were rocking sli 780s .Thanks for the years of goodtimes.
I wish more of my faves would do this. Love seeing beginning days vs current days stuff.
You guys are the best in lifting the tech-spirit. Proof that persistence pays off.
I started watching Jay back when he first hired Nick. I thought the videos were funny and entertaining, while being informative. I quickly subbed and still look forward to any day you guys upload a new video!
I'm down for more of this content because I'm down for more of this. 👍
10 years already! 😮
Its incredible seeing you go from using a garage as a studio to edit in when coconutmonkey started to a big ass building with multiple employee's
4:27 - "What is this animation?"
Phil, that's Jay taking a crack at keyframing. 😂😂😂
I've watced your videos from around 2015 or 2016, if I remember correctly. Many of them have been helpful to me.
Oh and by the way, I have the Define XL R2 case, found one for free in Facebook about a year back, and it was in such a good condition that I just had to pick it up. Still in a good condition, and it's easy to build into, there's so much room
i enjoy this, please do more!
I'd love to see more of these videos. No worries about the reverb either :)
*Bring back 5.25" drive bays!* And no, not just for optical drives. I currently use mine as a hot-swap drive bay for example and it is SO choice.
This is fun! more please! Would love to see you in your next video when we see you!
Lol, the throwback intro! Love it!
This was fun. Love seeing the difference.
Jay im pretty sure ive been with you since the Fx 8xxx era, but you were always popping and going in my youtube. But i always used you for a reliable source of hardware and review stuff. Even got into networking from all the stuff i watched :D
This is a nice change of pace video 😊
Great Memories! I've been watching since the Red Mist days of Jay sounding like Wade from GTA V and collabing with Francis and Barnacules. My all time favorite video was the "How to build a gaming computer - Tech addiction special edition". It's crazy to think that was 10 years ago.
I wasn't here for those videos either. Literally subbed a few months ago.
Cool seeing Baby Jay
I really enjoy those trips to the past.
Make more of these... please, if you want to, it's your call, no pressure.
Jay's use of the phrase "Also, too" has grown exponentially over 10 years. Congrats on the growth, and thanks for great content. Shout out to the team -- Get 'em bottle or something 🍻
That was fun to watch. Keep those coming. Would enjoy a Mystery Science Theater style of you guys sort of roasting/commenting on your past videos.
Jay I started watching your videos JUST before you hit 100K subscribers ( I think). It's cool to see some of the really old "stuff". Keep it up you guys, you guys are creative, knowledgeable, and entertaining.
That actually was entertaining as I sit here eating Huevos Rancheros with a brewski. Enjoy your Sunday 🤘
definitely need to be a series man!
The First Video i remember watching , although through a different account , was one of your First Reviews on The differences Between hose to hardline tubing as i was looking for anything on Water Cooling a PC Or if it were even Possible as i was seeing Temps Over 100 C and my pc was crashing
Jay has grown a lot over the years!!!!
Lol I remember watching your videos back then.. come a long way man... Chuckles in sound engineer at your use of a db meter.
