Craziness! I was going away from using or having cash on hand but in the past 2-3 years, I now get to an ATM to make my purchases. Crazy world we live in. Hope you were able to get your money back 🤞🏼🙏🏼
Another taxi scam: do not trust a taxi driver when the guy pulls up and asks if you need a taxi. You see it in Florida a lot. Some guy in a SUV usually with a LED sign that says "Taxi" on it. Only trust real Uber, Lyft, or local taxi co. With a phone number and light on the roof.
This is why I NEVER use a debit card. If you use a credit card, you are not out your money as long as you report it quickly. I don't ever have a debit card on my checking accounts. I have an ATM card only which allows access to the ATM, but it cannot be used to charge anything.
Hey, thank you so much. Unfortunately I don’t remember the company or if it was even a legitimate cab, as I just flagged them down on the street and didn’t pay attention. This was in Toronto
Thank you for sharing your experience ... that sucks ... sorry it happened to you.
Thank you 🙏

Sorry this happened to you. Was this in Toronto, and was it a legit taxi company? If so, do you remember which company?

Wtf would you use a debit card anyway? That's just foolish. We keep a credit card for purchases like this when we don't have cash.
