Here I am on one of those binges of greatest ever performances, and tonight, its again Frankel ' the Freak' ; marveling at those seminal performances in the 2000 Guineas, the Sussex stakes, Queen Anne, Royal Lodge and the Juddmonte International, and having the benefit of witnessing the 20 Group 1 winners from his offspring so far - which is phenomenal in itself - I am of the view that the statement from Willie Carson after the Queen Anne, to the effect that when finally an examination of this freak of nature's physiology is made, they may well discover something out of the ordinary, for instance a larger than normal lung/heart.

Watching this in 2019 along with his performances in the Queen Anne, 2000 guineas, Sussex & the Royal Lodge; being a racing fan since the time I saw Shergar's sublime performance in the Derby, I am convinced that Frankel, in the manner which he totally outperforms the racing world & the emotions which he elicits is the greatest regardless of division, distance or hemisphere.

No questions at all, he could have cantered that whole race without turning the screw and won on the bridle, Bullet Train was sent off to be a pacemaker but the two O'Brien horses ensured it was a strongly run race and there was no doubt on his stamina. He pushed him out the last furlong to make it emphatic, he could have sat on him without releasing the reins and won that all day long. and Truthfully i think he would have cruised up at 1m4f as well... My husky is called Kauto because he was born before Frankel appeared on a racecourse and the star was my favourite, the next will be Frankel ;)
Would have loved to have seen him in the arc!

The whole story was amazing, a horse of raw talent, who 90% of the time told the jockey how he wanted to run, and a trainer of the Highest Quality in poor health, bringing this amazing string of top victories. Frankel was a complete racehorse and only the best make it look that easy, they can speak of Secretariat, Sea The Stars and the like, but Frankel was a one off, he could win from any position, even at Royal Ascot he went too quick and the wrong tactics were deployed he still managed to last home. Superb racehorse and no less than Henry deserved in his last years of training.

IMO, Frankel won this one effectively all by himself instead of having Bullet Train to make the pace, since such position was taken by those of Ballydoyle during the race, which made his own pacemaking became useless. Therefore, TBH, those guys sticking to claim he won only with pacemaker can shut up.
