I see this new airgun being a good thing, the aftermarket can explode with gadgets for it.
This gun is amazing. Cheap price with all the adjustability and the stx barrels and slug barrels. What is not to love? Idk why people are hating. And I bet in the future someone makes a bottle attachment for it so it will be just like the impact or crown but cheaper and less to go wrong
When someone or some entity, such as a business or a sports team for instance, is the best in the world at what they do there will always be people who hate and try to minimize what they have accomplished. I get that the FX company is not for everyone but even if you are not a fan it is extremely hard to talk down on a company that has revolutionized the industry, just food for thought. Also I get the guns are expensive, but so is every other high quality company in the airgun industry. That's why FX has made this gun to try and bridge the gap and get these guns in everyone's hands who loves airguns. Awesome work Matt Dubber, and awesome work FX. Both of you have revolutionize the game. FX with the guns and Matt Dubber with the idea and knowledge of slug barrels and so much more. I can't wait to see what you guys accomplish in the future.

The reasons I'm simply not sold (and this is no attack on Matt, and FX are cool for letting him get a taste for us all) are as follows:
Suddenly it's back to air cylinder instead of bottle-style reservoir.
Then in true FX fashion a bottle one will be out but without hammer adjustment, then they add that on the next gun again but no adjustable regulator etc they just KEEP flipflopping around on it, every time, when they very well can make one with all the functions.
Then they come out with one that has it all but it's a CNC'd sceleton assassin thumb fore grip magpul clipozine holdover freaking monster that costs more than a danged house :D
FX keeps retooling for new lineups and most people are left waiting indefinitely when it would have been better to just keep with an overbuilt, overkill receiver with swappable nozzles and chambers etc so that airflow and receiver chamber pressures etc can be altered but they don't have to keep designing new receivers, and instead, focus R&D on modular parts around and inside the receiver (Copyright, me, 2019, price = Send me one? :P).
It's not so much the price of the total package, it's that it's too much of a one time investment for most folks, look at the AR-15 or Mauser world, one receiver, build your ultimate gun from there in installments that doesn't require eating noodles for months on end and lets people get more time to think about what exactly they want out of their guns.
It never fails, JUST when they are at the very EDGE at coming out with a good one (modular, adjustable reg, hammer, valve, bottle reservoir) both for price & availability they suddenly, inexplicably, take 2 steps back on several vital functions or features.... Just... WHY? Do I really have to just visit someone to have a look at an FX rifle up close, then mill and lathe my own air rifle to get what I want? (sounds familiar, eh?)
But most importantly: I still can't forget when I ordered a wildcat (I wanted a Bobcat but they were out of production) that I waited almost a year for (11 months and 24 days, and I don't even live too far away from FX) and it just... never arrived :/
Meanwhile hotter models like the then brand spanking new Impact just kept finding their ways to CZcamsrs ... I was effectively waiting for an outdated air rifle, which, 4-5 months in (which I was mentally prepared for and that's 2x longer than most people waited) would have been fine because FX is FX, after all, but it's getting out of hand.
The FX backlog eventually got SO bad that the shop owner (despite calling FX multiple times a week, to no avail) completely had to stop retailing FX, I got my money returned and a sincere apology (duly and fully accepted, not his fault).
It's ALWAYS the high profile youtubers that get's their guns first even when they say they wait a long time too etc (to them I say it's not your fault but try waiting a year), that's just how it is, not a fault of the youtubers.
I've come to terms with the fact that FX is FX and they make crazy stuff and send the first examples out to instances that are able to create hype for their product, i.e they have their thing going, that's not the problem at all.
All of this would have absolutely been just completely fine and fair enough (capitalism, free world, free market), IF a whole lot of influenced people didn't have bulk money invested into guns that might be complete DOA's (if they arrive at all) and they wouldn't get them until they were effectively outdated.
The air gun world is an ever changing one, and when customers are left to their own devices (some of whom have their livelihood invested in it by competing professionally and require the newest and best to get good results so they can get food on the table, or have serious issues with pests and can't push their dairy product if it's contaminated) I think that's bad business practice whether it's intentional or not, on account that this has been going on for a few years already with no change I have my strong suspicions.
What I mean by that is I don't like market cornering (innocent enough on it's own) when it HUGELY impacts peoples livelihood and lifestyle, with some bigtimers attaining the new improvements that gives them an advantage while Average Joe has to wait.
Again, free world, but either backlog is given priority, or so far fruitless talks of creating a far tougher sanctioning body (like FIA for racing, but for airgun competition, it's been brought up before) to give each and every contestant an equal chance (also free world) could happen, which, might I remind those who currently control the market, will stagnate their R&D budget, since they now earn less due to selling less air guns because all sales are now evenly divided due to all competition air rifles performing the same so people will choose the manufacturer closest to them and manufacturers have to share tech with eachother.
Needless to say this will hurt their ability to actually compete in a niche market and it gives innovative creators a kick in the nads (I wouldn't invent air rifle tech if I had to give it to my competitors).
Either they straighten up the record or it could hurt them long run like it did car manufacturers in motorsports (which resulted in hardly any affordable performance vehicles as a gateway into motorsports for average joe's).
At any rate, for everything that typically follows with a hot FX installment the video is a welcome addition, even if I'm not a FX fan they are the quintessential air gun manufacturer in terms of innovation put into practice = it's nice to see what they've got going on, so for their faults at least kudos to them for letting Matt show us that, and many thanks to Matt for the presentation and another great video! :)
I will never buy one for those very reasons, I just don't agree with their ethos.
@@hunter100t Exactly, it started out fine and I get where the owner comes from, but then he turned it all into the very detrimental conditions he initially sought to improve.
I don't know whether that was by calculation or an honest error, either way it's a crying shame.
Maybe he's just not the market/customer connected kinda guy? I hope he reads all this and puts backorders on the priority list, even above the R&D, because it's gotten pretty crazy.
@@waitwhat2143 Yeah, to me it's like, I know what all the guns are for, but none of them suits my criteria.
I'm sure they'll make a semi auto fully regulated fully adjustable sceleton, but it wont help them much if they don't immediately switch to a fully modular system revolving around ONE receiver, and put backorders on the #1 priority to clean their closet once and for all, until then I'm not even a fan, even if they can make something that scopecam hold-over clips a pigeon lights out right in the noggin at 300 yards.
doesn't this applies to every manufacturer? (yes) what's the difference between the 2018 Chevy Silverado & gmc denali compared to the 2019? they tweaked the headlights, grill, & tail gate ..when they could have done this in 2017 or 18..FX isn't forcing anyone 2 buy there guns..the new daystate wolverine has a regulator 2018 model they introduced to us,they could have done this in 2017,16,15 but the gun looks same? air arms ultimate sportier introduced there there regulated version of it in 2018,gun still look the same as the 2017,16,15 ..auto manufacturers change there cars every 5 years, they my add different lights or grill,some other luxury items in year 3 of that vehicle...nike bring back there 90s shoes n sell them in malls n outlets all over, Jordan does the same ,Reebok, Adidas etc so if fx does it, hell don't buy until it's something that u like 🤔🤔🚫
They put me in a long line for a Streamline, and I got a Brocock instead and have been very pleased. I liked the FX Cyclones I had, but they are dated now.
Streamline/ Dreamline are really just progressions of the cyclone, and that’s a good thing

What I want in an air rifle:
1) LIGHTWEIGHT - can't stress this one enough.
2) Compact form factor, either in a TDR or Bullpup config, bullup preferred for barrel length, but TDR's often backpack better.
3) Moderate to high power inside of that small form factor.
4) accuracy
5) reasonable air efficiency
The market is really starting to get there. In the 2013 there were only a few rifles that I liked, and each had a weakness. Now, the options are starting to open up.
and add the bottle version to- the dream tact and this is exactly what I have in the .25 cal and I am very pleased with it but yes I do want the folding stock. Isn't it just a small piece to add on for the folding stock?? Matt you do great on all of your videos Thanks man

Can you get shotgun type pelets for indoor shooting of birds.? The bulpup with a shotgun style birdshot pellet would be ideal for indoor cintrol of nesting birds

It is a shame that the Classic does not have the hammer spring adjustment wheel. This could be rectified if the Classic stock was a thumbhole like the Crown. Also the Lite and the Tactical have a very short lower rail which makes mounting the bipod inefficient and offers little or no protection to the air cylinder. The solution would be to extend the lower rail much further forward. Despite these, hopefully constructive comments, I really love this gun and I intend to get one. Great video by the way.
I am surprised they didn't let you take one home with you instead of having to wait a few months.

In my opinion i think FX pushing out way to many guns without working out the issues of the Previous guns....I Purchased a .25 fx wildcat mk1 and almost without notice out comes the mk2...however, My Mk1 was a really nice shooter....But, i Recently sold my Mk1 and bought a Edgun R5 Matador Standard...witch in my opinion is one of the best airguns on the market... Extremely accurate, easy to work on and its built like a freaking tank!! I am by no means knocking the FX guns...But we all know that they have serious Quality control issues... its good that they Extended the warranty to 3 years...but nobody wants to keep sending guns back & waiting 3 week to get it back...

as far as cost, well slugs are very expensive plus the liner.

Is the Wildcat mk2 more powerful than Dreampup? Dreamline output is maxed at around 65 joules with .25. I guess with Exact Heavy it can come close to 70 joules and a little bit more with some slugs.
What is the length of the Dreamline Lite Compact with the stock detached?

Advise needed , I want to buy a dreamline tactical but because I now live in the UK it will have to be sub 12 ft/lbs to start with , but when I get my firearms certificate can I get the same gun adjusted to full power? Or will i need to buy a whole new gun?

All in all a fantastic rifle! What I personally dislike is: The scope sits very high on the rifle and the Bullpup is not useable for lefthanders.
Is the accurate as good as the wildcat mk2 ?
I see some of these FX rifles being a problem for a left handed shooter. Especially the bull pup with the mag on the right

abhutto222 has a point. Mat and Ted have done so much for Shooting its unreal. They have done so much for my shooting i will forever be a fan. But Mat has travelled half way around the world to review these guns, Ted can hardly pick up a gun but felt compelled to do the same review and this is not the first time this has happened. When these guys or FX do well in Arizona or Utah its all you hear about and i like to hear it. Another Manufacturer does well in 2018, nothing.
Fx bring out a new Barrel system that doesn't mark up the pellet, it's all you hear about. Walther bring out a new barrel, Polygon shape, nothing! Id love to have an impact but i have too many guns now. (maybe one day, don't tell the wife). Other manufacturers need to keep up with FX, not just in air rifle development.
strange that almost all airgun channels on youtube are praising this FX dreamline at the same time (even you are not allowed to post results), i get its a unique concept (why create so much hype)...its all about FX these days. I mean don't get me wrong but why? aren't there any other brands you want to talk about or something new or something different ?
Quite frankly, because there isn’t much else out there that is new or interesting. The last non-FX gun that I reviewed was the Huben K1, which was super unique!

Evanix has two new rifles you can buy now at around the same price, Air Speed in rifle configuration, Air Max, a bullpup. These are semi autos, search on CZcams about them, just released....

The fx range of air guns look very nice if you can afford fx even with the fx impact you pay nearly £2000 pounds in the UK and only get I've 177 gun if you.want and 22 barrel you have to pay more to.get the 22 cal barrel.

If the dreamline bullpup was available in .30 cal... Like others, I wish FX stepped up their modularity with the Dreamline particularly in regards to swapping calibers. I prefer the cylinders over tanks because if you need to make hundreds of shots, then tether your gun to a scuba tank. How many shots do you really need to make when you're out hunting? Keep it simple.
The Lite is so long in comparison to the Impact's setup.
If FX made a new gun based upon a dog terd, this guy would endorse it!!

It will be very expensive, but remember, they wont mark it down just because its a skeleton rifle with no stock that you would normally pay 300 gbp or 390 us for, but they will sell. fools and their money and all that.

@@Edgunsuk man i hve been searching all over the internet for 1 single service kit and yet couldnt find except with bangal company located in UK and they dont do dhl shipping , i hve emailed fx usa & airgun of arizona but no replies yet . I thought those kits will exist in amazon or ebay but no luck . It unbelievable using 2000 air gun for specific period once failures occurs lock it down somwhere as simple as that . Other than that its one of most sophisticated air gun ever made .cheers
I sold my FX on AGN and bought a R5 Matador .30 with huma Regulator...more then likely i never by another FX gun again....to many issues..and they pump more more guns out without addressing the issue of the Previous gun(s)

Fx ought sort out the issues with their present Fx range before pumping out new models, way over priced & hyped up.
the tactical looks great BUT it doesn't come with a butt stock of any kind, just the action, barrel, air tube, and pic rail.. madness
