Gotta remember to place a small dot of blue Loctite on that Allen set screw when you install the flex shaft. That set screw WILL back off if you use the tool really often. 😎

This tool is for professionals. It does not show how many revolutions you are working at. Different drills are designed to operate at different speeds. If you do not know the speed of rotation of the sound, you will break the drills or you will be injured. It's a good idea to work with other Dremel models first. It's good to get used to. I bought a Dremel 4000 and it handles even such hardwoods as eucalyptus and olive wood. I wish everyone success and good health!

BTW if you want torque try the Foredom TX and LX!!!

Hey i have gone trough 3 Dremel 3000 carving brass etc. Usally speed control goes first . Then then the nod groove to loosen bit gets worned out then just runs out of control. Does this one overheat like that or can you run it without problems for some time? Been lookin at this or foredom not sure wich one would work best for metal.

  • @josephmalinowski6817

I believe its $200 for this one. It doesn't spin as fast, but the torque is crazy and makes up for it. Definitely more than a homeowner tool for sure bro

This is a nice lite duty machine. It does not have reverse like Foredom. That solves a lot of stone grinding issues, with dust.
Dremel is much cheaper to purchase.

Just search for hanging motor, or flex shaft grinder. in my experience as an engraver, Dremel never holds up. In fact, the cheap 80 motor from harbor frieght outlasted the Dremel. I use a foredom now, but if I had to choose, I'd go with the cheap motor over Dremel any day. And they have reversible drive motors as well for a pretty cheap price.
