Hi! Can you please make a video on the Maxx vs the Rustler 4x4 VXL? I really want to know the results... Your channel is much better than the other channels, they don’t explain this much! Thanks!
Finally, someone knows how to get the crud off. I tried all sorts of stuff. I just cleaned the sets of tires and they look nice and new. Thanks for sharing your find and advice. Who would of thought WD40?
It’s a little off the subject, but I have had two sets of steel bead locks I have had to glue. Kinda defeats the purpose, bu I do love beak locks.. I change things around a lot. In the end, I guess CA rules.
Oh thats crazy. I only have one set of bead locks but they are doing great. Maybe the tires and beadlocks dont work together? Maybe you cut the beads with the beadlocks?
Depends on a lot. Normally I tell people to go with one of the Traxxas models. Something like a Slash or a Stampede. They are kinda pricey but they are fantastic for people new to the hobby. Lots of fun, very tough, easy to fix, and just an all around fantastic RC.
How do the firstorm tires work as far as traction? I seen a video on exocaged rc's channel and it seemed like they slid a little but too much for my liking. Maybe gold years might have a little better traction but still have that little bit of slide im looking for. My stock lmt tires just have to much bite where I bash and most times just end up rolling/flipping the truck if I try to slide and power out of a turn 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ lol
I am not sure. I dont have Firestorms. I have the Renegades and the Goldenyears. I would guess the Firestorms would have better traction than the Golden years. It also depends on the compound. I'm told that the blue compound grips better than the gold. I dont have any blue compound tires so I cant test it. They are always out of stock. Since I just play around in my yard, I am good with Golds.
@@outsourcedrc oh ok I thought in the video It said firestorm on the sidewall. But yea idk I'm torn between what tires I want to run on my lmt. Cuz I want something with a little less traction than than stock tires so it slides amd just doesn't just bite and roll over cuz I mainly run on grass or terrain where the tirea bite in too much. I may go with the Golden years just because they are a taller tire and probably about the closest tire to the size of the stock lmt tire

No. It does not. Especially when you wipe it off so quickly. I've seen people do tests with WD40. It does make some rubber swell if left on for a long time.
@@outsourcedrc @Outsourced RC .. I was just messing around. Actually from what I understand about my XMAXX is that Traxxas recommends using wd-40 on it. So since that's the case I would believe it will not harm the tires as well. Thanks for the response.
You deserve so many more subscribers this channel is underrated
Thanks! I'm working on it. I seem to get 1k subs a month here lately. So... at that rate, I'll hit 1 million subs in 83 years. Yes, I did the math.

Great advice! I’m apparently lazy, I always let the dirt take it off. Lol. Might also explain why the tires sometime come unglued 🤔
I always clean the beads real well before gluing them.
Great Tip for the tires. I will definitely use that.

I'm not sure I'd be able to fit that into my time I have to film.
I’ve used mother’s wheel and tire cleaner or nanoskin non acid tire cleaner, then follow up with tire shine but just on the sidewalls!!!!
spray nine, that stuff is wicked. They sure shine up nice even with wd-40!
I've noticed simple green works really well on the plastic of the vehicle, but not great on much other material.
Appreciate the video. Thank you
Nice, short, video!
I use the same thing I use on my daily driver. Griot's Garage Tire Cleaner . Spray it on wait a couple minutes and wipe it off.
Good info 👍🏻🍻
I’m a big fan
Thanks!
Finally bought a xmaxx!

I use RC tire glue. I'll make a video when I glue these to their wheels. I dont know if gorilla glue will work, but dont use it on your hair.

I kant get it out of my beard. Thought it was gel

Looks like that works pretty well. What are those tires for by the way? Xmaxx?
They are going on my Clodbuster. I finally get to finish it after working on it for years.
Heat will take off tire mold release heat gun or hair dryer
Great info......WD40 is more of a cleaner, than a lubricant
Schumacher racing recommends using a heat gun or hair drier to get it off.
I have not tried that.
lol, I couldn’t get past the “W-40”.
I just boiled all 4 of mine and in 10 minutes they are all spotless and very black. No need for any other method.
Hey
Hey!
Wd 40 is an oil any dirty rubber will become black
Do they make tires like this for an Xmaxx?
I’m not sure. I’ve seen some tires that are kinda like this people put on the XMaxx. I think they are from Losi.
A little much
If it’s a new unmounted tire It’s equivalent to washing a single dish outside of removing the foams 🤣
