Only downside to the sticky I feel here in Arkansas at a comp is all the drive around before a rock, or obstacle. More sticky I feel likes its just going to pickup more dirt, dust, or whatever before you even get to the rock and time you get to the main feature the tread is going to be loaded with debris. Maybe not though, that'd be great haha. If you are apart of north central arkansas crawlers, you should come out to the spillway with us sometime. We have someone out there most sundays, this past was around 20 people, fun stuff man.
Man, that's a funny thought! Lol Did not think of that, but maybe I can rinse in between heats?? Anyhow I am glad it worked somewhat, 💪 I have to check the page man...Thanks for watching and the invite!
This is an older way to soften tires .. when I was racing I door 1/10 scale buggy and truck in Charlotte NC we soaked them after every race on a home made wheel / tire turner .. That was back in 2008/9 .. fun times racing .. miss those days ..
I have been using Simple Green for years ...Straight from the bottle spray and clean , let set 5 to 10 minutes and wash off ....I do this to new and old. If I am going out and have mounted tires, I just spray on let sit wipe off with damp towel on my way...
On any fast car I put together, I will use simple green to clean the wheel, and the mould release compound off the bead of the tire before I glue it on(they will stay glued at 70-80mph that way. ) I never did leave simple green on for any amount of time, just clean them off , and let them dry. But I'm also the guy who goes 4-5 miles on an outing, so I usually go with g8 compound
Did not know you had this channel I been in to the rc since 13. I still have two of mine since I was 16 one is a Tamiya bruiser I still run. Updated but nothing like all the newer rc crawlers I do own a axial not newer but will probably go with the rc4wd yota.
Proline tires have a compound that's mixed into the rubber. Using simple green or any other solvent is going to leach that compound out eventually. And then you will have an even more dryer and harder tire in the long run. It might help right after the application on new tires but its definitely shortening the life of those tires the more you do it.
This doesn't suprise me, considering dust will cut down on the stickiness of the compound. I used to use simple green as a cleaner, degrease for small engine carburetors and it would actually strip the protective coating on the body of the carburetor, causing issues beyond repair. Even diluted, it would damage the coating. I switched to Simply awesome from the dollar store. I mix it with dish detergent and spray my RC vehicles down with it, let sit for about 10 minutes and the dust and dirt just fall off it. After drying, I spray it down with silicone spray.
This is some boulder bunny stuff. The swamp and mud don't care if you soaked your tires in simple green 🤭 just kidding, we all are trying to fight our own environment and the elements around us. I love it, cool stuff bro 👍👍👊
🤣🤣 Man you are so right!! LOL I really hope mother earth doesn't laugh at me and cover my tires with dirt as soon as the crawler hits the ground with my SUPER STICKY tires!! 😅
@@arkansasrcnewbie right on bro👍👍👊 can't wait see how they work out for you. I would just put them on right before I compete, at the last possible moment!
@@Honoluluairsoft mine are a pain too. I going to try it with them on. thinking about just setting truck up on a baking tray with all 4 tries just up enough to spin freely and turning throttle advance up for a few minutes at a time
No I did not, I did crawl with them and they were sticky to start. But they soon picked up dirt lol, then all stickiness gone...But after washing them off after the comp the stickiness came back!
First of all, don't be a SISSY! LOL See what I did there 🤣 now not sure were you live but, the state as you know is full of state parks- they are usually clean and full of great spots and free! Also spots near the Arkansas rover are great too, usually around this time with the water being low. And lastly I would think lakes which are also free and us taxpayers pay for them so you can walk around anywhere you please without being hassled. Get out there and have fun! Thanks for the comment and the view
I clean my tire after every run with simple green . The tire compound loves the simple green. The tires get better after every cleaning.
Great to know brother. Thanks! Going to wash mine every night now!

Nice! Thanks for the heads up brother. I just hope they don't pickup a bunch of dirt lol.
Do a lot of people use them for drag racing to break down the tire to make it softer
Nice video bro! I'm going to try this trick to some tires that need to be both softer and stickyer!
Do try man, it would work great on your rig! Thanks brother

4-5 MILES!! Oh my lol, last year we hiked about 1 mile and I was over it 🤣 I do hear alot about the G8 compound, I just got some rc4wd tires

Appreciate the knowledge Shayne 🙏 It feels great immediately but may have some regrets down the road..sounds too familiar 😆
Compounds are cured into the tire. It cannot come out.

Dude awesome tip, thank you!
Just this test make me subscribe great job man thank you for doing this
Well thank you for watching and Subbing brother! Appreciate that, hope to see you around 🙏
What about drag racing tires you thin you could soak a regular tire in it.and get the same results
I bet you could, got a guy who drags and uses simple green.
- Looks "superb" !!!! Wow-za !!! 👏👍👌
🤣🤣 It's Legit!! Thanks brother 🙏
Doing a big crawl at devils den the 17th of December. Nwa crawlers and other Arkansas groups. You should join
Awesome!! Thanks for the info brother, I will take a looksy

Great channel man I just subscribed
Appreciate that man, it's a work in progress and I'm learning more and more everyday 💪
why did you rinse them? you just let them dry WITHOUT rinsing
Oh Man! Was I not supposed too??
Will the tires hold up long term? Bonus is you made the shop smell like simple green.
Better then SEALENT!! LOL
I thought you were Peter Sirpol
🤣 The electric plane guy? Lol Dude I'm waaaay better looking 😊😉
Wow that really did seem like a big difference I wonder how long they will last like that under decent use
Me too!! I've got a gallon baby!!! 🤣🤣Thanks for view brother
@@arkansasrcnewbie I wonder if it would hurt to do it with the tires still on the wheels cause mine are a pain to get on

🤣🤣🤘🤘Hot off the press!! Lol
Liked and subbed!
Thank you EricsRC! Appreciate the love man, hope you continue to enjoy 😉
Yooo 😁 are that what's up are you going to the injora tires too
I think I need to!!
Ive tired this a day before a comp but all the dirt got stuck to them but i was running predator compound trenchers.
Oh God that scares me! I figured after doing it the tires would grab alot better, but did not think about grabbing sand and dirt too 🤔
@@arkansasrcnewbie but who knows the hyrax might be better than my proline trenchers
