Mike. I pressure and soft wash as a side hustle. Leaf tannins can be removed using a 50/50 mix of 10% pool shock to water and a few ounces of dawn dish soap. Put in a pump up sprayer and thoroughly spray the entire pad. Allow to dwell for 15 min then rinse with a hose or your pressure washer.
Stihl makes great equipment. I have Stihl trimmer, chain saw, leaf blower, and recently bought a Stilh polesaw. All work great. I had to replace my old TroyBilt pressure washer last spring. I bought a GreenWorks 2200 electric pressure washer at Lowes. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. My wife is really pleased. No gas to pour, no stopping to refuel, no rope to pull to start. And what I like, motor shuts off when you release trigger on the wand. It has plenty of power. About $250.
Jerry Morgan Hi Jerry, I have the same washer here in the U.K. under the Briggs and Stratton brand name, I have been through quite a few washers over the years and have had many different variants but to date this one is the best I have ever had and like you I love the cut off on the wand! Cheers Martin
I tried out a surface cleaner from the local orange box store this year. The results are glorious for concrete. No more hard lines left on the sidewalk, like you can see at 2:59, where the width of the nozzle cleaned but did not clean the width of the nozzle evenly. One caveat with it is you cannot let it sit in one spot for a time or you will end up with a perfect circle ring left behind that is much cleaner; I accidentally did that on my deck.
Really like this pressure washer for the size and fit/finish. Two things I don’t like are the lack of a quick-release hose, and the lack of a triplex pump.
I own this one and I have an extension wand to do 2 stories plus. It has more than enough power when extened out.
Mike, The RB 600 is the ticket, tested the RB 400 was good, but the 600 is the right one for me washing down concrete and tractors. As always good video!
That would be really useful to clean the tiles around the new pool! Just so Melissa and the kids don't slip up and take a fall. You know how excited people get when they have a great new swimming pool!!! (Melissa, you owe me now!)...
It would come in handy to rinse off the sawmill too!
I like using my pressure washer for leaf clean up. Yes, I power wash my lawn! It works awesome especially when the leaves are wet from rain. Plus, by getting the leaves damp/wet, they don’t blow away when the wind kicks up.
Stephen Gmeiner What’s a leave?
Got a 400 today. Used with a Karcher surface cleaner. So far so good. Thanks 4 the review. Helped me decide.
I just bought the 600 and I absolutely love it
REALLY enjoy your videos Mike! You inspired me to start my own channel making tractor and firewood videos. You and Melissa are great people. Take care!
Something way to satisfying seeing something being cleaned like that.
Melissa makes me laugh every time! I love my Stihl equipment
I want that! I’d go for the 400. I’m sick of this electric pressure I have now. Thanks, Mike!
The intro is compelling me to take the pressure washer out for a drink! Ha Ha
Maybe I got a lemon- I have owned this for a little over a year - nothing but trouble with the pump - replaced it with a cat pump now it is a good unit - the motor has been ok but the unloader always made it hard to start - never did work right - I have had the pump in for repair under warranty 3 times - finally overpressured and popped a port - the cat pump is far and away a better pump - my 2 cents
Without a doubt; at this price point, it should have a better pump- that alone would make this unit a slam dunk.
I noticed you cleaning your concrete with the single nozzle sprayer, have you ever used a powerhorse surface cleaner from Northern Tool to clean your concrete pads. This maybe a time saver and efficient. I've used it for industrial concrete floors.
Hi Morgan’s and a special hi to Hunter , I hope your good buddy, nice video Mike, love sthil equipment myself, two chainsaws and a strimmer , never have let me down and I always service and maintain them repairing or replacing whatever they need, this is a nice washer in my opinion I love the non tangle hose. Cheers Martin
Looks Like Pressure Washer Did Well!!👍👊
I'll agree that it does take some time to know if you've got a good machine. I use a Karcher, Honda motor, 2600psi. It's an older one, but it keeps woorking...knock on wood😊
Edward Kenny Hi Edward, if it has a Honda engine on the washer it will last for ever as long as it’s well maintained, don’t go for the new Honda engines though Ed, they are all built in China now and buddy trust me they are a bag of shite!! Cheers Martin
I have an Excel 3600 psi with a 13HP Honda motor that I've had since 1998 and it's still going strong.
Love the Beware the Wife sign in the background
Mornin' Mike... I've got an (adjustable) 4000psi commercial pressure washer. Works great for low & high pressure needs around the house.
It only rained twice here north of Toronto this week- two days the first time and three days the second!
No triplex pump, no honda engine. Better options
Can you adjust the water level on the pressure washer???
How in the world you get that orange hose nicely wrapped up like that? The one mine came with has a mind of its own
I'm a big stihl fan, have a lot of their equipment. Good to see the pressure washer works well, but they are Way too expensive!
This video turned into a love scene real quick.
On the more powerful pressure washers you just have to use a wider spray nozzle and/or increase the distance from the tip to the surface you’re cleaning. But you already know that I’m sure!!! Good video. Melissa did a “drive-by” exit rather than her usual “basement steps”. Lol!!
MIKE !, you keep it up, you're gonna need the plans for the tractor garage bigger than you think to keep all the implements in not takin in account the "rafts, lawn chairs, chlorine, and whatnot" (for Mellisa's pool)! Lol , yinz guys are awesome, you're definitely are a clone! Anutter good information video!
I really like my pressure washer, but one thing I see on the Stihl that I like much better is where the hoses hook up. Mine are low in the back as in get on your hands and knees low. The Stihl is a much more ergonomic design.
I'm sure the Stihl is a great unit with that Kohler engine, but I got introduced to the Kranzle brand years ago through my Father In Law who was a commercial painter and fell in love with it. Unless you are doing commercial or high-level work, I can't see any reason to go higher than a 600 series.
Have you had any problems with your pressure washer? Would you recommend it ?
I want to change the pump oil in the RB400, but it doesn’t have a sight glass or dip stick. How do you know how much oil to put into it?
Do you recommend it my dealer can get it for me for $598.13
The RB 600 and RB 800 pressure can be adjusted down as low as 150 psi according to the manual
Nice pressure washer, However only thing I would change is that I would want hard tires and get rid of pneumatic tires. Ron
I already have this one and like it so far. The only thing I did not understand about it is the instruction manual says to change the engine oil after first five hours. Witch I understand ( Brake in ) but not the water pump. Were I got it ( ACE Hardwear ) had no answer. Should it also be changed same as engine oil . I know the pump oil is to be changed after so many hours of run time normally.
What brand of pump? I like cat pumps
Lol @ myself when my OCD kicked in watching you spray in 3 different directions, nothing wrong by you doing so, but it drove me batty looking at the varying directional water lines on the concrete as you worked 😉😀😁
got to watch using a high psi washer on dirt bikes, quads, tractors etc so not to blow water into seals on all point on the equipment.they recommend a electric lower psi washer.
I think they are based off the Mi T M and very close to the ones Deere Uses just with the Kohler Engines i have had a stihl rb for a year now and love it
Great video
Hallo mike is the powerwasher made in germany or is he made in the us?
If you have a big pressure washer just change the tips to lower your pressure so you will not get into trouble when you don't need so much pressure.
Great job enjoyed that
Good video Mike, nice product review too. Check your contract, every time Melissa is in the video your share drops below 50% ? Keep having fun we enjoy them too.
Mike use a different head for the leaf stains.i have one it’s 60 dollars at Lowe’s
Hey Mike.... pour a Coke on the leaf stains and hit it with a stiff push broom.... it'll also take mortar off of masonry.
Is the pressure adjustable? I’m looking for something for auto detailing and I’ve always been a stihl fan
Does it have a throttle? There’s your answer.
Background music is getting better. If you played some Brian Johnson or David Lee Roth they would scream that dirt off and you would not a pressure washer.
Can you tell me which side to put the engine oil and the pump oil
You can’t see the oil caps?
Not a good idea to pressure washer a tractor or ZTR, water under pressure will find its way into component of the hydraulic system or engine, bearing/axle fittings.
Use washing powder to clean concrete
Coca cola on the spot for a few minutes and a stiff push broom will get those leaf stains off Mike... it will also clean mortar off of masonry work too.
I was almost ready to buy one until I saw that trash Kohler engine on it!! Damn Stihl, why!?!?
The pump is the real head scratcher.
why dont u use a surface cleaner for your concrete its much easier and faster
Love to have it but not sure I can justify the $!!!!
So Mike, what does the model number number actually mean,..horse power?
By the way,..you shouldn't hesitate that long when you said that you were interrupted by that,.....Lady in the Jeep there! ( see 7:14 mark ) Hahaha.....
Hey to much pressure will penetrate bearing seal . Be careful
Maturity is not drawing inappropriate things with the pressure washer 😂
🤘🚜👌
What are you going to do when they take all your toys back?????????????
Lol @ beware of wife sign
Give Eve a go a least if she steps something she can wash it off
Maybe love songs should be kept to a minimum on your channel. Lol.
You missed a spot.
One minute intro? Get to the point.
