The STHIL was designed to protect the motor and the pump, that’s why it’s in the cage. There’s nothing protecting the motor on the other pressure washer. If you roll the hose smaller on the STHIL it won’t drag. The handle folds down an can go into the back of most SUV’s. While Honda has a great motor, the STHIL can be serviced anywhere STHIL is sold. I don’t doubt they are both good pressure washers. Consider the environment you’ll use it.

They also neglected to say that the extra length of hose on the Vortex is not needed on the Stihl to keep water cool because there is a built in Thermal pressure relief valve that automatically lets hot water escape from the high pressure pump and although Honda makes a fine engine , the reason Still did not go with Honda is that Honda is requiring that anyone who works on a Honda engine has to be Certified to do so where as a Kohler can be serviced by anyone .

@@KPMExceptional I researched both and the both seem to be a quality machine. I ended up buying the stihl rb600. My main factors were dealer relationship and availability of local dealers here. Secondary considerations were the height of the bars and the reputation and longevity of the other items I have used from stihl.
As a side note, if you uncoiled the vortex hose where are you supposed to put it? It clearly is zip tied. Also, you do not need to hold the gun to start the stihl. The gun does nothing when starting the machine other than sit in its holder. It never moves. To be honest you spent more time talking about the stihl, its poor salesmanship to downplay a competitor. I would have rather heard more about the unique features of your machine.
As a business owner I dont buy equipment based on weight. I buy it based on longevity and part availability. Ive got a 3500lb john deere mower and a ton of grasshoppers. The honda engine is a win in my book on your machine. No one can really argue that. Calling a guy I have done thousands of dollars of business with and having anything parts related I need day after tomorrow if not right now at my shop is priceless. If you have that kind of availability you should have stated that instead of how bad stihl machines and components are. I called your closest dealer listed from your website and he was 4 hours from me and they were a rental business, not an actual dealer and had no units to sell but I could rent one.
TLDR; I'm five minutes away from a multi line dealer that I have worked with for years and he sold me a heavier built pressure washer for 400 bucks less and he didnt say one bad thing about yours when making his pitch. If anything goes wrong with it, he will fix it tomorrow or the next day and give me one to use in the meanwhile. He also wasn't pitching heat about a competitors product with a shitty attitude. Kick rocks Ron, you belong on a used car lot.

@@marshfield01 we are glad you took the time to review our machine! first and foremost, a good outdoor power equipment dealer is worth its weight in gold. the fact that you have one nearby is a great thing.
In our comparison our goal is to simply compare the features and benefits. We are not saying that the Stihl unit is a bad unit. Far from it! We are specifically comparing the weight, the fitting quality, and the rest of the items each pressure washer. We could have said "brand x" but in our opinion that is insulting to the intelligence of the viewer. We'd rather compare both side by side and let the viewer pick. By the way, Stihl makes great equipment!
As for your specific question about the hose - the hose you see there is as it comes out of the crate. There is a low cost hose reel attachment available that keeps the unit light and the footprint low. You can learn more here: vortexxpressurewashers.com/product/hose-reel-attachment/
If you end up wanting to try a demo of a Vortexx machine down the road we are happy to set that up. Again, thank you for watching!

Dang this guy did make some valid points. I mean yes the Stihl is big and cumbersome but it’s suppose to be. It’s heavy duty commercial unit. The vortex is a gx200 smaller engine smaller pump so I mean you can’t compare apples to oranges or however it’s said. That being said I do like this vortex a lot I like the radiator hose and the one piece gun with that grip. Also the fitting for your hose. My dewalt has a rubber regular hose washer and is always leaking how he said and I hate having to put air in my tires all the time. I like the airless tires on this vortex

  • @revup67

We're on the brink of buying an RB 600 but have spent much time on the specs which there is a lack of clarity from Stihl. 1)can you run more than a 50 foot hose? What is the minimum GPM at the end of a 75 foot hose and PSI that would work? We get 70 PSI and approx 5GPM at the end of a 75 foot hose. The RB 600 is a back breaker no doubt as you point out. We went to check this out and its a 2 person job to lift into a pickup unless you enjoy hernias. What is the oil used in the pump "and" engine (such as SAE ND 30) and full make and model of pump. If this has to be serviced its imperative there's a qualified repair shop in our area. The GX 200 is a good motor by the way, cast iron unlike the GX160. The Stihl RB600 uses a Kohler CH270-3165 which is also quite good. excellent point about the tires BTW. The Rb 600 has an oil pressure unit, thus if its too low, it shuts off.

    • @KPMExceptional
      @KPMExceptional  Před 3 lety

We think the Vortexx unit is the superior pressure washer for all the reasons stated in the video. To help answer some of your questions: yes, a hose longer than 50 feet can be used. The pump on the Vortexx unit uses SAE ND 30 oil, while the engine uses 10w30. The pressure at the end of the 50+ foot hose is not a stat we have in house. We do not think you will see much of a pressure drop. If you purchase the Vortexx unit we are confident you will be happy you did. Just for some peace of mind, remember the VX3000HD unit comes with a 3 year engine warranty as well as a 5 year pump warranty. The frame (excluding paint and tires) has a lifetime warranty. And since you're buying it from a local dealer, you can be sure you will get the after sale support that you need. If you need help finding a local Vortexx dealer please let us know!

Get a 5 gallon bucket and time how long it takes to get at least 3 gallons of water in 1 minute . I really don't think there will be an issue so long as the I.D. of your hose is large enough to get the volume you need but I would check it anyway to be safe .

My opinions, it’s big and bulky- very hard to haul in a car. 118lbs weight. It rattles so much that the nuts has come off the bolts. The gun and lance is super short. I am 5’10” and i am always not standing straight up when so my back hurts. I hate the gun holder it’s always coming untighten. It’s annoying. The stock gun if you drop it once from on top a one story home it break. The dispenser for degreaser don’t really put out. Ran some mold treatment in a one gallon after five hours of power washing the 1 gallon was only a third used. It’s not very efficient with fuel. I never had an issue with my wheels being flat on the second year of owning it. But I use my RB600 twice a week for clients. How it’s built it’s just really awkward moving it around. I don’t wrap my hoses up like you displayed. But also running 400’ of hose. The other con I’ve found is that the couplers after a few years wear out. And it’s time I replace the brass. The other difference is what your representative product is over a $1,000 and a RB600 with every single attachment for the washer is $799.00 includes 14’ disk, 400’ of hose, a rotary head rated at 4500psi. Two lances extenders, and elbow gutter attachment and spare brass parts for any issues. The highlight to this is that, it always start first try. Tho heavy what it takes to pull start is lesser then what your comparison is. And for a beginner it’s cheap, getting an options package with the washer will not break the bank. Where as the same of what your showing would. For someone starting a business in professional applications this is not bad. But two years of power washing for clients. I haven’t had any issues with it other then nuts vibrating off. The only other con I would say about the RB600 made by STIHL is it’s loud af. And it’s a pain to flush the oil, and oil change. The warranty that STIHL offers is actually better then most. With a 5 year on parts. And the stock handle sucks. You get a lot of vibration thru it. And there no hold on the trigger. It’s all manual. A pro to it I will say is that if you live on a farm or a rural place good chance your on well water. It’s got a filtration that prevents hard water from clogging the pipes. But does require monthly cleaning to keep brand new. One highlight is when running 400-500 feet of hose I don’t have loss of pressure. I’ve noticed with ones I’ve rented before I bought this one that anything after 100’ I notice a severe drop off in pressure. And if you live on a farm this is actually a good product for that. It’s bulky and can take a beating and still keep working.

That looks like a really great pressure washer however, when I went to look up the price and try to purchase it I found out it’s extremely hard to buy. I also I’m not sure about the accessories? Does a vortex have the accessories that a stihl will? when I found a comparable price I realized that this pressure washer is three to $400 more so it’s not a one to one comparison. Also this is a lower psi but it does seem like it’s built better than the stihl.

We are a Regional Distributor handling the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern States (Northern Virginia to Maine). If you are located within our territory we can help you find a dealer near you; if not we can get you in contact with a distributor who can help.
Vortexx has an extensive offering of accessories, one of the most complete in the industry. Most pressure washer accessories are interchangeable from one brand to another.
Both pressure washers are in the same category, but yes, the Vortexx unit is more expensive. This pressure washer is a premium product offering a reliable Honda engine, AR Triplex plunger pump, Commercial Grade VRT3 Unloader and CoolFlo pump protection - plus a superior warranty on the most critical components, 3 years on the engine and 5 years on the pump.
While PSI is important, GPM is more important when assessing the cleaning power of a pressure washer. The difference between 2950 PSI and 3200 PSI with both at the same 3.0 GPM is negligible, you will not see any real world performance difference when using.

Would have been better to compared a used vortex hose unraveled on the vortex machine and not a brand new one all nice and neat that had obviously never been used.
