*I haven't used it yet, however, this pressure washer replacement gun offers greater spray flexibility over the standard sprayer gun that came with my pressure washer originally.*
Great demo
Excellent..... well done
Nice Video. Love my RB400.
I use an extension with the 14in rotary attachment. It’s a 3ft on and it will lift up on you but easier on your back
Where’d you purchase your extension from? Thanks in advance!
Regarding ur back problem get an extension for your gun a 36 inch is good enough for me I’m 6’4
Thanks for the demo, was hoping you would get around to more of the accessory vids...When you were using the round 14 inch surface cleaner it does look like its uncomfortable to use at your height. When I was at Lowes here in Ontario they carried at least 3 different lengths of quick connect extension tube, not Stihl mind you but I'm sure you can rig or find some thing to make using that surface cleaner less back breaking.
They do make another lance that is a few inches longer to put on the wand. I will probably get one next spring. The surface cleaner is a little uncomfortable do to that. I will try to do some more videos on them next year.
Why would you have to shut the pressure washer down to switch nozzles ? If you let off of the on , off lever on the handle doesn't the unit go into bypass ?
Thanks for this video. I’m looking at upgrading from my Karcher. The RB 600 looks like a good mid-range high value unit for my business.
At the moment it’s take me a while to pressure wash with my unit (see my channel for a time lapse video) but I guess you get what you pay for.
Lovely outdoor power tools 🎉
Bought the driveway cleaning attachment from sthil & used it this weekend on my walks & driveway!!! Was happy with the outcome... whereupon I'd recommend this to anyone wanting to be efficient, effective, and look good doing it.
Is the RB 400 Dirt Boss to small for the Rotary Surface cleaner? Should I use it on wood deck that ready to be re-stained? My 2002 pressure washer finally after successfully rebuilding carb in 2016 not knowing about ethanol gas worked after replacing all the gaskets. Then pump failed. Replaced the pump lasted 4 hours motor locked up. Rope will pull, but to expensive to even have them look at after they tried for thirty minutes to get it going. I torn between a gas one and just a electric one. No hassle to winterize. I ended up using hose spray on stuff and mold on north side of garage melted right off. I only use it for deck and house. Buddy has the two I mentioned brand new in box asking 600. I almost ready to just say write a check and let the last folks re-stain 25x30 deck. It was so far gone I never thought it come back. 2 guys sanded for 7 days on all the spindles and it took it to new wood. Not going to let it get bad again.
No it is not. If I remember correctly the RB 400 puts out 2700 PSI max. The rotary cleaner works really well at 3400 on my RB600, But I usually turn it down to around 3k or less. It is definitely easier to control at lower psi and still works well. I think you would be happy, Just remember on the RB 400 I would run max PSI and you should be fine.
steiger 256 thank you for quick reply
Do these work on the 800 ?
You mentioned the wand being a little short for the surface cleaner making you have to bend over to use it. Have you tried using it with the 4ft extension with the surface cleaner? I am 6ft tall and have been concerned that the wand would be to short.
I have not tried that yet. I think they make a longer lance that you can attatch to the handle. I may get one of them next time i sm there. If they make one i will let you know.
The wand is too short for the surface cleaner ! I'm 6 feet tall and I bought a 24 inch extension which is perfect !
GREAT INFORMATION, WHAT DO YOU RECOMMENED ON SOAPS, WHAT DO YOU MEAN TREATED CEMENT?? CAN YOU TELL ME THE STEPS ON WHAT TO DO, N WHAT CHEMICALS YOU HIGHLY RECOMMENED?? FOR DIFFERENT USES, SUCH AS BRICK HOMES, MOBILE HOMES, RV'S, DRIVEWAYS,
The treated cement is just a sealer that I use to treat it. Aroundvevery 4 years I clean the concrete and then apply a product called Diamond clear to it. As of soaps I usually use the Stihl soaps that my dealer has. They have a multi purpose cleaner and some others. I have good luck with them. I like to use meguiars number 54 gel wash on my RV. As far as steps I blow off the concrete first, then wet it down and apply the cleaner. After that I use the surface cleaner, Then pressure wash off the rest. Once dried I apply sealer with a roller to get good coverage. Hope this helps.
it wasnt spinning properly for a few seconds.took a while to get up to RPM.I have had so many of those things i run a house care business if you can afford a stainless steel one but those are priced out of this world
Ok. I didn't understand at first, But I see what your saying. I usually spray silicone spray in it when I'm done to help corrosion. May not have done that last time. Sometimes it sticks if I haven't used it in a while. Thanks for replying back explaining, I'm going to check it out when I use it here soon.
Does this one has detergent - soap dispenser/attachment? … Thank you
It does have a small hose you can place in a bucket or bottle of detergent. I use it often and it works great.
You don’t need to shut the pressure washer off to change tips
You can change the tips while it is running, But the safe way is to shut it off to change them. Im sure the odds of hitting the trigger while changing the tip is very low. I usually dont gamble and just shut it down. At full PSI it would tear your skin off.
Thank you for the video, I understand that you really recommend that rotating nozzle but buying the Stihl one is very expensive! Have you attempted to use any cheaper alternative dare I say Chinese?
I have not used any others. You can find US made ones with the filter for a lot less money than the Stihl one. When i did my research on the rotating nozzles the main thing they said is the cheaper ones won't hold up as well. If your not using it for commercial use I am sure the less expensive one would work just fine. Honestly for as much as I am going to use mine, I probably could have got a cheaper one. They do work really well tho, Nice accessorie to go with a pressure washer.
steiger 256 thank you for the detailed reply ! Unfortunately for where I live it costs around $260 USD for the Stihl one so buying genuine is very hard to justify. I do however believe in the saying ‘buy once cry once’, are you please able to provide me with a link to the other ones you speak of ? Also, you mention a filter, why would I bother or need a filter if I’m using a filter on the input to the blaster ? Is this because of some impurities and the like from the pump after the main filter on the input ? Thanks again for your replies !
@@haimsadia I can add some links if I can find some. If I remember I think I found some US made ones that were reall nice for around 80.00 from what I have read the filter helps for longevity to keep and debris out of the nozzle. I am not a expert on pressure washer accessories I just try to do a lot of research before I purchase anything. I'll end some links in the next few days if I can find the other ones I found.
steiger 256 thanks very much, I’m the same with regards to research, I found a company called BE Pressure, they seem to be the OEM for the Stihl attachments for the pressure washer (clip on tips/nozzles). Have a look around if you are interested: f.bepowerequipment.com
RE the $80.00 USD I would happily pay that if I had the option to buy no one ships to us from the states which sucks !
I got the dewalt and the stihl rotating nozzles. I did it to compare and the stihl is better. I would say not $100 better but $50 better yes I would say. Still the dewalt works good I’ve only had it for like 3 months and so far no issues. I would say the dewalt works good but the stihl is better at getting the dirt out. If your budget is not as good then I would highly recommend the dewalt over the stihl.
i bought the rotary surface cleaner to do my deck.its a little over 700 square feet.2 hours on the unit and it stopped rotating fast enough to do ant work.tried flushing and cleaning but the rotary head is screwed.2 hours of use.piece of s..t
I never had a chance to put mine to the test. I am planning on using it on some large driveways this summer. Hopefully it holds up. If I have any issues I will put it in the comments below.
@@steiger256 any consumer grade product in that line is not going to hold up.I learned after too much wasted money and effort.Get a commercial grade unit. All my equipment now is commercial grade. The initial cost is higher but it pays for itself in less downtime and repairs.
Hey I think you need a new turbo nozzle.that one is effed
Not sure what you are saying is wrong with it. It works very well. I have put quite a few hours on the turbo nozzle with no problems. It does a excellent job. Did you see something that I am missing? Did you have any bad experiences with this nozzle?
I think you are seeing the nozzle not rotate due to the frame rate of the camera. It makes the nozzle appear to get stuck and start and even go in reverse.

@@knoxlawncare3806 I will check out your channel. I think the RB600 is the best Stihl unit for the price. The RB800 is a lot of money. The RB600 is a lot also, But its the best all around unit for the price out of all 4 models.
@@steiger256 Cheers thanks for that info
