I just returned from there for one week October and I will definitely return. Food was fantastic and we were treated like gold by every member of the staff. Our room was spotless. FYI - the Adult only wet bar pool was freshwater, not salt as the video mentioned. Also, ALL restaurants were included in price, not a la carte as video suggested. My only out of pocket expense was tips, excursions and a few small souvenirs. Definitely worth the trip … October usually has the best pricing.

Nice review! We were just there a week ago and loved it. They did serve us beverages on the beach and the customer service was excellent. The food was good and I loved our junior suite superior room. The second room option is called a suite. We plan on booking the suite the next time we visit. The RIU Fitness Zumba class was a lot of fun. The instructor was fabulous. There was a lot of seaweed when we went (June 2022), but the water was warm and the sand part of the beach is perfect (flat, soft, beautiful shaded palm trees, and expansive (big). There was a truck that was there later in the week cleaning up seaweed. We will definitely be back to this resort.

Hi Karina, thanks for your videos and all of your contribution! It's been dificult to decide what resort to go for, so many options and even considering I'm going in family (so not taking into consideration Adults Only type), still a lot of options...I'm travelling in end of April 2022 with husband and a 3 year old kid, I'm thinking about Barceló Bavaro Palace, Paradisus Palma Real, RIU Palace Punta Cana or Hyatt Ziva (maybe also considering Grand Bavaro Princess and Iberostar - not sure) - what of theses would you recommend if I say that water park, kids club, good food, nice rooms and a nice beach area are a must?? Too much things to match right? It's fine to point one or two - I really appreciate your response! And see you in DR!!!
Hi! I would recommend Hyatt Ziva with 3 y.o. If it would be expensive then BARCELO BAVARO PALACE or IBEROSTAR SELECTION BAVARO

Добрый день, спасибо большое за обзор! Подскажите, в риу пунта кана был соленый лосось и авокадо/гуакамоле на завтрак? И как часто и в какие приемы пищи они был вообще? Заранее спасибо ❤️
Гуакамоле было, а вот лосось за 3 дня только 1 раз был. Вообще, в Риу Баваро мне показалось немного лучше питание

Hello, thanks for the video, I want to come and visit Punta Cana and hesitate between the 2 Riu Palace-Punta Cana/ Bavaro the Melia or the Grand Palladium, which one would you recommend the most for a family vacation ?
Hi! All the 3 are the same level actually. MELIA is beautiful nature, Palladium too, Riu is not so big and tropical. But animation in Riu is better than in MELIA and Palladium. Also a big waterpark (MELIA has a small one, Palladium too)
What is your thought comparing Riu vs Royalton splash resort? I'm planning on going around summer time with my 6 year old, 10 year old and my husband. The kids love waterpark and my husband love the beach.
I would choose Riu palace than Royalton splash. Although Royalton PUNTA Cana is very good too, but costs twice than Royalton Splash
I checked out Royaltan splash - no. Boring on not the best stretch of beach and ugly. This hotel is much better. The water park of the Riu resort because you can use the sister resort ammenties is amazing. Hands down this is a much better one and those who stayed at the royalton I spoke to regret not staying here. Royalton in Jamaica is worth it though
I’m trying to decide between this resort and Grand Palladium or Melia Caribe. We are a couple with 2 teenage boys. Which do you recommend? We like food, activities and nice pools.
I think Palladium 2ill be better for you, Melia seems more for couples for m3

Puedes entrar en las demás pero no puedes comer o tomar alcohol. Eso lo que me dijeron en la recepción. Pero si hay actividades en ambas. La discoteca esta cerrada pero en el teatro hay shows

Hi, we are planning to go around Nov end, Riu was in the list, but now thinking may be it is not big enough to offer many things, as we have 2 kids (8 and 11). So need big enough water park, aciticies for kids, but same time we want to enjoy adult only lifestyle as well like, night club, pool party etc. Please suggest which resort should be the perfect pick for us, we have to see our budget as well. So please suggest by your ranking.

I’m debating between Riu Palace Punta Cana and Royalton Bavaro. I have 2 girls ages 10 and 13. The water park, and food are important to us. Which would you recommend? Thank you in advance.
Royalton Bavaro is better, but I'm not sure 9i you can visit the water park (they don't have their own water park but before the guests could use the one of Fotñyamton Splash.) Check with your agent I'd it's still so. If not - go to Riu - the water park there is good, the kids will love it

Do the rooms have good Air Conditioning? I’ve stayed at hotels and it’s really humid. I don’t like that.
The air conditioning is good. Although there are some rooms with a extra humidity. I don't know why I experienced it in dreams onyx. The floor was wet all the time although the cleaning lady dried it twice. We changed the room and the problem gone.

You can walk to the territory of other RIU's, but you are not supposed to swim there. they actually do foam parties in all the hotels. I don't really think if you go to foam party of bamboo for example they will tell you anything
When we went you can swim anywhere and go to the different parties but you can’t eat everywhere. If you have no kids Macao Palace has the best pools

Yes, they do
Did I misunderstand something? It sounded like you said there was lots of nighty activities and shows, then said there wasn't many nightly shows right now.
In the majority of hotels there are no night shows right now, but in this one there is. That's what I wanted to say

Also, you mention that there's a cafeteria with delicious cakes that are free, I mean it's all-inclusive for a reason, hehe.

Ugh, the seaweed. A big no-thank-you. I go to the Caribbean primarily for the beaches. There are plenty at which seaweed is virtually non-existent. Thanks for noting that, as many reviews of these resorts inexplicably fail to discuss the beach quality.
Go to Baiahibe if you want to be sure there will be no seaweed
Not being served in the buffet is a good thing? Everyone touching same utensils and then putting it back on the food, coughing, touching the food and put it back is the good thing? During epidemic? That is a warning for me not to go to this resort.
Everybody is different. Just sanitize you hands after touching them, put on gloves if you are afraid. You still touch the door handles, buttons in the elevator, sit on the chairs other people have sit, fly in the plane with many people next to you, etc. I'm personally trying to live a normal life, just strengthen immunity, doing sports, eating vitamins. That's my opinion, my way of life, not trying to convince anybody.
@@DominicanVlog But I just came back from Royalton, near Riu, that was incredibly clean, following good health procedures, buffet food was served and no lines or waiting. I am very satisfied. Would returned there in a minute. If vitamins and strengthen immunity would be enough there wouldn't be epidemic. Serving yourself at this time is not smart, but lazy and irresponsible management of the Riu.

I've been to RIU resorts many times. I went in September 2021, during the pandemic. At that time, to be safe, they were having staff serve everyone at the buffet, rather than letting people serve themselves. Sometimes I had to wait a minute or so for a worker to come from another station, but it wasn't a bother at all, and, in my opinion, well worth the extra safety. If I wanted more than what the server had given me, I simply asked. No problem. When I returned to New York, I ate at some public buffets where customers served themselves. So I'll do either. But given what's going on in the world right now, I don't see the problem going the safer route. And if it makes some of the guests more comfortable, why not?
