  • This hike is only 1.4 miles with an elevation gain of about 300 feet.
Short hike but very strenuous and difficult terrain be advised of that.
There are 5 sets of ropes and one very sketchy hanging ladder to help you down to the main waterfall. The rock pools have enough depth to take a swim and cool off but please make sure to check how deep they are before diving into them and also make sure there aren’t any big rocks to avoid hurting yourself.

Thank you so much for watching, most of my videos are time sensitive , that means I try to go places when there is a better chance of having the best views and experience. For example if you watch video of a seasonal waterfall and you decide to visit but when you get there it’s completely dry that’s a bummer. Same thing if I show wildflowers blooming, you visit and they are long gone! Or a place with snow, you go and it’s all melted!
Right after I go hiking I post my videos as soon as possible.
That’s why it’s very important that you subscribe and a active the notification bell so you won’t miss a thing!!

Grew up going here. Havnt been in years. Mostly due to my car getting broken into when I was down there. But after watching this I have an itch to go back. It’s actually called monkey canyon because when the sun is right there is a perfect monkey face on the cliff above the lower pool from where the ladder is. And the ladder is for climbing up, you gotta jump!!! Haha. Awesome job picking up trash too.

I'm the early 70's we used to call it hippy canyon...
My dad used to own part of the resort with the bar and fish pond in the 70's right past the tunnel on the right it was washed out in 78 and ten people got killed. He also owned the falcon mines another 5 miles up the road.
I grew up there in those mountains, running those trails...

Hey man I actually just did this trail 2 weeks ago and it was amazing but when I was going on my way to the ladder I slipped and almost fell off the 50 ft cliff next to the ladder its very sketch also those are not mosquitos in the video those are mosquito eaters they are harmless and actually eat mosquitos I went with my family to to this hike and everyone made it back safe thankfully also if you look straight directly from the water slide there are 2 cars that fell off the cliff
