The Moroccan Map is not represented correctly in this video. Morocco took back since 1975 the rest of his territory "west moroccan Sahara" which was colonized from Spain. This part of his Map contains beautiful cities like Laayoun et Dakhla. This region of Morocco offers a rich culture of Hassani folk and beautiful mix between Desert and meer.
bro chill, it's still Morocco, we don't care about them maps... it's only visual stuff... people should visit the country to know it's frontiers 😁✌️ peace...

FYI: Ottomans never ruled over Morocco. Their empire stopped at the neighboring country.
Moroccan cuisine/culture is distinct in part because of this. It remained d
Independent!
The Ottomans put the Moroccan sovereigns under the yoke, they even killed one of your sultans to send his head to Istanbult. Moroccan sultans resorted to the Ottomans to guard their throne and also during the famous Battle of the Three Kings.
Ottomans invaded Fez twice but never sought to stay in Morocco. The truth is that the Ottomans beat the Moroccans incessantly, but they were not interested in this country to expand their empire there.
@@anteversus8471 They weren't interested 😂😂
Their first objective was to rule over Morocco so they could go and rule Andalusia, Spain like the previous Islamic dynasties.
But Morocco never let them lead and got its revenge after they killed a sultan.
Open a history book. You won't change a thing with a comment on CZcams😉
@@amazsoul-moroccanrugs277 If they wanted to go to Spain, the Ottomans didn't need the blessing of Morocco, the world belonged to them, it was the most powerful empire and navy of the time.
And when they arrived in Algeria at the request of the Algerians themselves, Morocco had been under Portuguese occupation all along the Atlantic coast for a century already. What was Morocco at the time? Nothing to do with the current territories.
French reports of Morocco at the start of the Protectorate in 1912 speak of a very poorly dressed population living in miserable medinas, nothing that the Ottomans wanted when they had the far more glorious Balkans to conquer.
@@anteversus8471 Where the heck do you get your information!
Again. Go open a history book and read what french said of Morocco when it became a protectorate in 1912 (that is was very different from N.A countries. Thar is had it own sultans for centuries. That it was an organized state with relarionships with all of Europe. That it's people were the most attached to tradition and that it was the first state in the world to recognize USA and open trade with it)
When french protectorate came, Morocco was rulled by Alaouites (same dynasty as today) since 1661.
Its empire was larger than today !
You are PATHETIC
@@anteversus8471 Also... no the world didn't belong to the ottomans.

This video is very fun to watch, except as a Moroccan myself I must make an important note: the traditional-sounding music playing throughout this video is not Moroccan music, it's Egyptian music. As someone so well-known, Gordon should ensure that the team behind his videos do not make frustrating cultural blunders like this, and should hire sensitivity viewers to watch the videos prior to release.
