    In this video I show you how to fix an Over Revving VICTA 2 Stroke lawnmower. Specifically, I am demonstrating this on a VICTA 2 Stroke Turbo lawnmower, however this procedure applies to all late model Victa 2 stroke lawn mowers.
    The tools used to undertake this repair are:
    * Phillips Head Screwdriver (or 8mm Socket for later Mowers)
    * Pick
    * 12mm Socket
    Consumables used for this repair are:
    * 1 x Power Torque Manifold O-Ring Inlet Cylinder Side (OEM Part No: CR03227A)
    * 1 x Power Torque Manifold O-Ring Carburettor Side (OEM Part No: HA253653A)
    * 1 x Power Torque Starter O-Ring (OEM Part No: ST12629A)
    This really is an easy procedure that anybody can do. Save the cash and DIY!

    great information thanks. What was the idle RPM on the mower, please? I find my mower does not idle correctly and there isn't a lot of difference in my RPM from full throttle to minimum.

    My 2 stroke victa sometimes starts but wont run.
    It has a new spark plug, 2 x new o rings for the manifold, new crankcase top o ring , new diaphragm rubber, cleaned jet and carburetor. Still no luck. If choke the air intake , it will run sometimes. I am at my ends wit. Might go to hard rubbish this weekend.

      Hi Duwayne, I will happily take it ... where are you? All jokes aside have you checked the DeCompressor? I show how to check the Decompressor in this video: czcams.com/video/U0_5dsO-JnM/video.html Cheers Drew

    Hi there Drew, Nice mower you have there any chance I could get some other tips with a few 2 stroke mower's I have that have the same issue I have ordered and replaced all the o rings on the mower as you did in the video and unfortunately I’m still experiencing the issue
    Thanks

      Hi Aiden, it could be the crank seal or just the governor spring is too strong? Did you see the video I did on adjusting the governor spring here:
      czcams.com/video/-xARDzg8kLw/video.html in this video the mower was under revving however it’s just the opposite if your mower is over revving significantly! Cheers Drew

    Thanks for the video I have the same problem when over revving but only when hot. I find it's also very hard to start when hot. Would this be related to an air leak from one of these o rings? Cheers

      Hi Mate, quite likely, replace all of these o-rings and let us know how you go! Cheers Drew

      Thanks Drew! I replaced the o rings on the intake manifold and the crank seal under the pull start. I also replaced the piston rings and honed the bore. Much more compression now and starts hot or cold. Cheers!

    Hey mate, do these motor have difference in manifold housing to the block? As the one on my 2 stroke power torque motor is just straight housing outlet for carby.

      Hi Gary, I suggest that you may need to replace all of the o-rings on the inlet manifold and perhaps also run a jet cleaner through the jet in the carby and also into the plastic inlet to the body of the carby where the jet screw screws in to make sure there is not any debris restricting fuel flow at all! Cheers Drew

      @@DrewFixIt changed one of the inlet manifold o rings the one on the carby side . ive orded some of the others .will let you know how i go when i receive them. your videos are great thanks for posting.

      @@garywinkworth3380 Hi Gary, the other thing you can try is to swap the long spring inside the carby with a stronger spring. I have one a the moment that idles a little low, I might make a jig and do some experiments with measuring the long carby spring force and then comparing in the mower, would such a video be of interest to you? Cheers Drew
