- While at the Tinley NARBC I finally picked up a juvenile Chinese Cave Gecko from Josh's Frogs (it was on sale because they said he was "imperfect") . I have wanted a Goniurosaurus hainanensis ever since my collab video with @WickensWickedReptiles
I am setting up this juvenile terrarium as a naturalistic and bioactive cave enclosure with some awesome supplies from @TheBioDudeJoshHalter and @exoterratv. This will be his home as he grows into an adult and while I build him a MASSIVE, permanent Bioactive Cave Enclosure!

I love these guys! They're stunning and adorable, definitely one of my favorite geckos! I have yet to add one to the family, but I certainly look forward to doing so in the future. Richard, entertaining and very realistic to the cave pics I have researched for the species the inclusion of the gravel does make the scene. Have you experimented with concrete hides they too are mold resistant and can be made in such a way, using plastic wrap, that you can remove the lid of the hide without disrupting the scape. Your photographers eye is serving you well with this one. I hate drainage layers and always plumb for a drain even on my 12 inch cubes I make out of tile. 1/4 inch air line tube 7/32 diamond drill in the dremel polyester yarn inside air line with an inch in the substrate makes a small water tight drain that wicks the excess water out. And since it wicks it never fully clogs and always drains at least for the past 3 years.

I love geckos!! We lived on Guam for 6 years,and I really loved the geckos in our house! We'd find eggs on window sills and leave them to hatch. I chirped at them and they chirped back. It was fun!

Good morning Richard how are you doing today I got a baby common snapping turtle from underground reptiles
I have a rough knob tail gecko, I used excavator clay mixed with moss for my substrate. This makes me want to get some of the desert sand and some slate tiles to revamp his enclosure. This looks amazing! What are you currently you feeding him?
Richt now he is eating crickets and dubia roaches. Hasn't seemed interested in meal worms.
