It must be very satisfying for Alessio to be in Italy…speaking his native language while touring.
Jesse, your husband knows both worlds/lifestyles. Hopefully you continue to trust each other
Ohhh c'mon don't you all Italians judge this wonderful couple...Rome is so big, they can't try all the street food Rome has to offer...calm down...❤
Imagine saying that they are top best places in Rome, but only few things that they liked in the video...lol,just bad
You calm down ❤
@@crniflomaster2796they said "iconic" matez they didn't say they were the best. There is a difference.

"Frank and Frankie here, saying a big thank you for your Rome vlog! Your tips have added so much flavor to our trip plans. Can't wait to embark on our own Roman adventure!"
Love the video and really jealous 🤗🤗 thank you for sharing…lots of love to you both .
The maritozzi looks like one of the most interesting and delicious treats I've ever seen.
What a timing... Heading to Rome next week. Thank you for the recommendations!!!
I love Italy
I love Rome
Really enjoying these travel vlogs. Please do more! especially where you guys try local foods. very interesting
100% team tiramisu for all of my life
How fun to try all that amazing Roman foods! Another CZcamsr Pasta Grammar made a recipe from Friuli and it looked so delicious, Alessio should see what he thinks!
Great video! Thanks for the recommendations!
Thank you so much for sharing these videos! I am saving info for when I get to Italy someday!
I watched this and made a list. Now I am in rome and every single thing that they offered specially the trapizzino in termini was tourist trap with worst quality I have ever experienced . I am very very disapoinnted that got stuck by this influenecer.
Please don't do the same mistake
Awesome video. Sad you didn’t love the Frigidarium as much as I did. Was there in April and went back a couple of time. Their dipped chocolate gelato was amazing. Still thinking about it!
So glad you decided to stay in Itay for a while. So much to do and see and you have the perfect guide Allessio.I am going next month YEAH
I have so much food envy right now! ❤
Much appreciated pointers💚🤍❤
Never heard of suppli before. Being american calabrese, I grew up on arancini. My italian grandmother always complained that american (probably long grain) rice did not hold together well, maybe arborio rice was not available in Brooklyn in 1960s or was expensive. This video confirms that the dimple on Jessi's nose is not just for looks but functions to allow her to eat piled high cream with less nose residue than Alessio.
@Rumin8 Well, sometimes recepies travel between bordering regions and change a bit in the process. In Calabria and Sicily it's white rice with rich filling, in Rome rice is more like risotto. Personaly, for me it's a way of "recycling" the leftover rice from any kind of risotto. Usually I leave the leftovers in the fridge and the next day I throw in an egg or 2 ( usually only 1) and I make small meatballs that I stuff in the middle with Prosciutto, mozzarella, or whatever curated meat and cheese I have in the fridge or just cheese... and I whoop up a little appetizer for 4 even if I just have 1 portion of leftover rice. Actually I think that's how some of these recepies came to be: people had to make something with what they had at hand... Overall, the trick of making it stick together is using starchy rice and not getting rid of that rice starch, becouse that's what makes it stick together and not fall apart.
Supplì is tipica roman street food! It is different from arancini, sorry
I may have the opportunity to go visit Italy this year, and I'm so excited!
Everything looks delicious ❤❤❤
Like I said before one of my favorite couples on CZcams You guys make great videos May God-bless you both Lots of love❤❤
Oh this makes me want to book Rome so much! ❤️
My wife and I tried a different gelato place each day we were in Rome and the places we liked best all had something in common. You cannot see the gelato, they keep it in the airtight containers. Much more creamy
real artisan gelato is kept in closed containers; you got that right!
Hello @Adam Reece, could you recommend some places please ? All the geletarias I have seen so far show the ice cream. I'm looking for a place where they sell it covered. Grazzie.
@@olvramaroz9274 hey, it’s been about 5 years since my wife and I went to Rome and we don’t remember the name of a place that had it. I looked back through out photos and I couldn’t see the name of any of the places. I do remember our favorite place was near “Church of St Mary Magdalene Chiesa di Santa Maria Maddalena” just north of the Pantheon. Sorry I’m not much help
@@olvramaroz9274, this requires *work*, but it is doable. Ask Google to find Rome gelateria, then browse through the results with images. You will find very small number of gelaterias with covered containers.
We found Como Il Latte, best ever we had
Thank you for this video, we went to your recommendations and all of them were really good Grazia ❤
When you said that tiramisu is from Friuli Venezia Giulia I smiled, because a lot of my friend from Veneto would not agree! Great vid!
ahahah they are right😄
Love Rome! Many thanks Jessi and Alessio - awesome video!

I really like Roscioli, especially the restaurant, they have amazing pasta.
I am loving these series "The Pasinis Take Italy"😂😂😂 all the food looks DELICIOUS😢especially the Maritozzi and the Tiramisu😋😋😋
I have lived in Tennessee but after watching and learning about Italy...why wouldn't anyone not want to live there. The food is much better and the country is absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing. I want to know how much crime is there if you would like to share with us all.😊
Dear Mrs. Ruter,
a reply from an italian for you.
It depends from the regions.
In center-Southern Italy, my region ( Abruzzo) still has a low crime level.
Of course, today, all over the world, crime is increasing, unluckily. E.g.,
If you take Naples, it's the most beautiful city in the world, in my humble opinion.
Anyway, in that city, the street crime is found in certain neighborhoods, e.g. the Quartieri Spagnoli ( i.e. Spanish neighborhoods )
By the way, Naples was ruled by Spain in the past, hence their name.
Therefore, in the elegant districts of Naples, the kind of crime who could scare a bypasser is not found.
Then there is the financial crime ( e.g. mafia, camorra, 'ndrangheta and other ), who is interesting for dealers and other people, but not for the bypasser.
By the way, Naples has no "good press", as we say in Italy, with a reason, but it's still safer than many cities in the world.
Bypasser interesting crime is also found in other italian cities and towns ( in certain neighborhoods), in fact Naples was only an example.
Excuse my English, i greet you again. 🙂
I love you guys!! I love Italian food so much and every time I see you eat pappardelle with a hearty Bolognese. Jealous! Jealous!! I don’t know if I could have stayed at the B&Bs with all those stairs but the tower was very cool!! Much love ❤

Grazie mille Tiffanie
Also Pizzeria Bonci is a great place to try Roman Pizza...delicious...but a bit on the pricy side 💕💕💕
@@matteoferrandino3348 it depends for sure on which type of pizza you choose. If it's a Margherita it might be under 5€...😀
I totally recommend the one with artichokes..delicious..especially now that they are in season 😋😋

Cnat wait to do all that in July!
You should have tried Two sizes the peanut butter and strawberry, I loved it and we went there 3 times. Also there is a place called Flor, Gelato will change your life.

I'm living vicariously through your gastronomic travels and feel I'm getting fat ! LOL ! "But it's sooooo Good" ! ! !
Everything looks so delicious! Do you have Pastizzi in Italy?
Does Alessio have a family recipe for Carbonara, if so I wonder how it compares to the others. Can’t wait to explore with you guys in the next video! ❤️
Benvenuti in Italia ❤
You must try the coffee gelato ❤
Una pizza altissima!!!!
Vibo italiano sempre al top! 🎉

Hi, I wanted to ask you how should I do to learn English through movies, TV series and songs, what methods should I apply, how should I approach these tools and how can I put them into practice? Ditto for books/audiobooks/podcasts and videos on youtube, where should I start if I'm at zero? Nb: I'm a 20-year-old boy and I haven't decided which path to take yet but at the moment I'm more oriented towards languages and I would also like to go and live in England.
Kudos to you. I’ve lived in Rome for almost 70 years and I still don’t know all the best street food.
Do you guys recommend going to Italy in August? I know to skip it in July cus if the heat but what about August??
no Austust it is the worst time better in July
Im learning about foods ive never heard of by following your Italy tour. I cant understand how Italians keep their figures with all that scrumptuous & high calorie food. Im betting theyre more active than most people
It depends Italians do have some really overweight problems specially in southern parts of the country but what keeps them in shape or other folks in Europe is that they walk mostly not everyday they use their cars
@@oinn8003 you're right, nowadays overweight people are increasing, especially in the south (probably 'cause frying is more common in southern Italy's cuisine).
Anyway, to answer to Edna, most of those high calories food are traditional dishes that people used to consume to have energy when food was scarce. That type of dish usually requires quite some time to make, so nowadays it's mostly eaten on sundays or during feast days, when most people are not working and have time to prepare such dishes. On a daily basis people tend to eat simpler dishes.
And let's not forget that the Mediterranean diet also consist of a lot of fruits and veggies, but that's not something you indulge in while on holidays eh eh :)
@@oinn8003 italians are the thinnest in europe, check google, but its true in the south they're less thin
They don't eat every thing all the day!
I like the Canolo or other flavors from Frigidarium that have mascarpone in them. It repairs the "overfreezing" I feel some of their flavors suffer from.
We are going in September, thank you so much for this!! ❤ I trust your guys’ taste buds! 😂
What is “gianduja?”
it's a chocolate/hazelnut paste. like nutella but much better quality.
@@romulus_Ah, thank you! I will try it here!

for Tiramisu when in Rome always go to 'Re di Tiramisu'
where exactly is that, please? :)
I haven’t been seeing your content. I had to literally type your name in my search engine
What !!!! Pizza a taglio in Rome is always a minimum of 15/10 it's the best !!!!!!!!!!!!
Te devi affocare amore ❤😂 grande
I love the idea of selling slices of pizza by weight!
Was in Rome in fall of 1998 near st Maria Maggiore and quite close was a plade that alsp sold my weight so you just showed how much you wanted and you could get it cold or heated up. Used alot of our allowances at that place :)
Hello!! What about the chick pea (garbanzo bean) sandwich? 🙂😊😉
I guess I’ll be able to eat cheaply in Rome! 1/4 of that would be good for me😂! Going in May! Already hearing about the pickpocketers from many. 😮. Going to clip my zippers together on my purse.
Pickpocketers are a thing in Europe, just be sensible and you will be fine. Mainly the metro is a place where you need to pay attention
2:40 when i eat chocolate and i laugh after the bite HHAHHAHAAHAHAHHA
Love your video ! Thanks for all the tips that helped us to prepare our trip ! Do not hesitate to check our vlog and tell us what you think about it ! ☺
I'll have what they're having😉
You missed one classic, a porchetta sandwich. Also, a tramazzino instead of that trendy thing.
I'll take a nice chocolate eclaire!
So jealous. Wish i could visit Italy.
I tried pistachio gelato in the states... And it was the worst thing I ever tasted! I'll have to give it a try if I ever get blessed enough to go to Italy!
@brandy janik Oh, if you get it in the right place, you can actually taste pistachios!
I’ve lived all over Europe from the UK, to Portugal (where my family is from) 11:58 , France , Italy all the way to Russia and there’s a common denominator: why are we all so stingy with napkins? 😂
👍
Grandi ragazzi!!!
There is a restaurant in NYC called Trapizzino that is really good. Of course I’m sure not as good as Rome.
The Trapizzino in NYC is the only one outside of Italy.
Tiramisu is from Venice
How do feel so slim????
Who would not love Tiramisu
Please tell me you tried Come il Latte--the best gelato in alllllll of Italy???
Explore Golgumbaz
Amazing!
The pizza rosa at the forno in the back of the campo di fiori is better than rocscioli
Name of place where u eat trapezzino
Trapizzino that's the name
But guys. This video is like a compilation about every reel that you guys have posted in Intagram this week.. 🙃🙃
Im annoyed we didn't have any marritozi in Rome
Tiramisù is not from Friuli, it' s from Treviso near Venice. It's born in the local Le Beccherie . But i know that there is still debate over authorship.
Just kidding
Do these places take credit cards or just cash?
I watched this and made a list. Now I am in rome and every single thing that they offered specially the trapizzino in termini was tourist trap with worst quality I have ever experienced . I am very very disapoinnted that got stuck by this influenecer.

Maritozzi Mouths 🤣
I found the food in Rome kinda ordinary. It’s a surprise to many visitors that there’s a lot of average and actual bad food in Italy
Bad for you. 😭
rome is overrated indd. try Torino, Parma o Bologna for food.
I’ve been to Napoli, the birthplace of pizza so also a good place to find good food
You were in the wrong places
@@matteoferrandino3348tell me you don't know wtf you're talking about without telling me you don't know wtf you're talking about
I love pistachio Gelato. Why is it not g4een?
It becomes green only if you add coloring to it, otherwise it's yellowish. Next time you have pistachios, pay attention to the colour all the way through and you'll see that there's very little green in 'em!
You say..."never hesitate to get another". But are take-away containers a thing in Italy if our eyes are bigger than our stomachs? It sounds like napkins are not available readily either?
I can see a lot of closed shops or restaurants. Covid hard on owners.😢
