    I cry when I eat in Italy because I realize that I’ve been cheated by all the subpar food I’ve eaten at home in America. The food is so delicious and fresh in Italy. When you get home nothing tastes as good as when you were in Italy. 🍝 ❤

      Lol same. If you have an Eataly near you I recommend. The prices aren’t the same as Italy but the food is really close and it’s a market also so you can try to make your own food at hime

    Italy, especially Tuscany, is truly amazing! We felt the same way when we decided to leave Los Angeles behind and embrace the Tuscan dream back in 2017. The journey has had its challenges, but it's been incredibly rewarding. In fact, we've taken our adventure up a notch by purchasing an abandoned seaside villa and transforming it into our dream home. The renovation process has been wild, and we're excited to share all the craziness and wonder on our channel. We'd love for you to swing by and check out our journey-it's been quite the adventure in Tuscany! ⭐ Rob & Andrea - Casa Ardor

    Tennessee? Time to move! I live in Hawaii, but if I had to move it would be to Tuscany. We stayed in Cortona for a week, and visited a hill town everyday. We wanted to see the art in the basilicas. Lunch was always delicious. We would return to Cortona at the end of the day and eat dinner at the same restaurant - made it feel like we lived in Cortona. We did not have to move the luggage - more time to see basilicas! I stayed in Tennessee for a week, and ate barbecue, watermelon and sweet tea everyday.

    I came to this video from your restaurant short, where you mention going to the same restaurant 2 days in a row.
    I was so thrilled at the idea of just enjoying yourself and the food so much you don’t do the classic travel thing of “we don’t come here often, we have to try different things each time”.
    I saw it links to this video “Slow Living in Tuscany” and really felt that what you demonstrated is the most “slow living” style thing you could do in that moment. You just let yourself appreciate at the pace you go 💕🖤

    the italian tuscan countryside is stunning as always, ive visited many times and it just takes my breath away. But this, guys, is not slow living ... you moved from one place to another hurrying and instead of basking in and savoring each place. That would have been slow traveling which is part of slow living. Eating good food and ice cream is only a small delight of the whole spectrum of pleasures that creates the slow living lifestyle. This video gave me the feeling of traveling in a hurry and disconnected from the pleasures of places you visited.

    At 22.27 you mentioned the Farmacia Quattro Cantoni - that is one of the best pharmacies in Siena and you can get all sorts of regular prescriptions, but homeopathic and natural remedies, too. The pharmacists are kind and super helpful with whatever you need!! At 6.19 where you are walking up the hill from the Parcheggio sotto terra, you walk past San Bernardino - the middle school where both my sons attended from 2012-2016 - those brown doors to the left. Just past there on the left is the botanical gardens and to the right up ahead is a music high school.

      @@miller1246 Tuscany is a region like a State and then every bigger city within a region has a province, kind of like counties.
      There are many reasonably priced tours you can take from Florence where you wouldn't have to rent a car, also the train system is wonderful, we took the train from Florence to Lucca, easy peasy.

    • @miller1246
      @miller1246 Před rokem +3

      @@annarae2396 Thank you - the state/county analogy makes sense now. Since it's our first trip we plan to hunker in Florence but train to Rome, Venice, & Cinque Terre for day trips. Our main focus on this trip is to take time to stroll, relax, and EAT/drink WINE!

Not that you can't find some fairytale places, some places that have a more a slow life than say Florence in the countryside , but Tuscany is a modern region of the Western world, active, quite rich and based mostly on service sector and not the depiction seen on Under the Tuscan sun where it looks like it is almost in the 50's.

    Tuscany is my favourite area. Yeah, I’m a bit biased, since I lived there for a while, but really, the food is amazing, the scenery is gorgeous, the people are friendly, and since it’s centrally located, it’s easy to hop on a train to visit other regions.

    I am a Brit living in Germany but my heart lives in Italy. We have spent many weeks walking across Tuscany using little known paths and tracks. You are right, the food in Tuscany is out of this world and even in some of the smallest towns there are restaurants with food to die for. I have asked that my ashes be scattered in Siena. I have been there more than half a dozen times and it is my favorite town in the region.

      Sin shortens life, because of our sins we are separated from God.There is nothing in this world worth going to hellfire for. Repent of your sins and be born again, Jesus Christ is coming back everyone

    I loved Tuscany and the provinces I visited. I still remember the grilled sole - it was that good. Pistachio gelato for me! I wasn't a big fan of the food in Rome compared to Tuscany but I did love Rome and the people I met. The person I visited lived above a gelato shop. Score! lol :)

    Funny story. I grew up in Germany(military). I went to the states to visit my grandparents and we went out to eat at a pizza pasta restaurant. I asked for a glass of wine. They brought it to me in a red solo cup with ice cubes. Crazy.
