Alessio is so expressive! When he loves something it's a religious experience.
đ his bagel epiphany was something holy
@@ThePasinis Absolutely ! â„ïž
Interesting comment considering religions are cults, and people are brainwashed into it like nonhuman animal products, and most people donât know what love even means and just misuse the word.
Iâm dying to see a New York style slice comparison
(Pizza, that is)
@@Cassxowary You really believe that one? So, you think you don't need God? Good luck with that.
I absolutely love the sheer joy on Alessio's face when he discovers a new food. You two are such an enjoyable couple to watch!
For dim sum you need to get the "classics" such as crystal shrimp dumpling or beef rice roll or siu mai. For cheesecake you need to go to Junior's in Brooklyn. NYC is such a foodie town. It's great!
100% correct.
Please go to dimsum with a cantonese person. -- sincerely, a cantonese american who is afraid to watch this video now lol
@@winterkeptuswarm â ïž Nice way of inviting yourself.
Juniors, 100%!
Golden Unicorn instead of Nom Wah.
Your NYC adventures are inspiring and entertaining. Keep up the amazing work. Cheers!
thank you so much! we're so glad you guys are enjoying them!
"Amore you're just trying to make people think that you're 100% Italian." đ€Łđ
Around the corner from Katz Deli is the Tenement museum. Must do!
grazie mille
I never heard anyone say they "hated" bagels, but I'm from New York City and we LOVE them here!
If all I had access to was the swill you find outside the tri-state area.... I'd probably say I hate them too... :)
I've never heard anyone say that either! Hahaha
Fondamentalmente il bagel e un panino, non ha niente che non va
The ones I tried were ok, but Iâve never been blown away by them.
14 bucks for a bagel đ„Ż 26 bucks for a sandwich đ„Ș⊠Iâll stay away from NY
Now that's some awesome food! The bagel with the lox and stuff is classic. Pastrami on rye was one of my dad's favorites. I'm in Chicago and the best memory with my folks was waking up early on Sunday morning and going with them to the butcher, bakery and deli on Devon Ave. What a special time that was. Loved the video, đ
I have always loved how passionate Italians are about food! They have definitely understood that food is one of lifes joys. And such a beautiful couple you are- inside and out. I wish you get your little one soon
For cheesecake, try Juniors or Carnegie Delis. Either can be bought online. Carnegie is my fave - simple and unique. Juniors is from Brooklyn and has a gazillion different types.
The "stealth" movement of the water that had ice in it over to Jesse was hilarious.
Next time try The Burger Joint (it made Anthony Bourdain's list!), Gray's Papaya, Levain Bakery, and also Hop Kee on Mott Street
ooo! these sound good! Thank you so much!
Greys Papaya is the best hot dog everrrrrr! Iâm so proud to be a New Yorker. We have such good sh*t all in one 22 mile island.
OMGâŠLevainâŠyum! What about Birthday Cake from Milk Bar?
@@ThePasinis Also Supermoon Bakehouse and Clinton St Baking Company.
I came here for these! how about Serendiptyâs?! is it even still around, just wondering.
đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł The PAIN on his face when you went to the FRENCH restaurant/bakery!!đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
Wow... I'm only halfway through the video but I'm amazed that Alessio went from hating bagels to wanting to go back to the bagel, lol. New York bagels for the win! đđ
Edit: Just finished watching the whole video and I'm so glad Alessio actually went back to get more bagels. Just missing the pigeons! đ
NY Bagels đ„Ż with Lox is for the WIN
Montreal is a great bagel and smoked meat city as well. love the lox here, can't go wrong.
As a NYer, you guys were spot on with your assessment.
1) A NYC bagel with lox and cream cheese is an absolutely transformative experience.
2) Katz's pastrami is a splurge but worth the price
3) Places like Nom Wah are overpriced hype (you're really just paying for the ambience of the street and feeling like you're on a movie set).
4) You were also right on with Magnolia's pudding - good, but totally overpriced.
5) Same with the cheesecake being overpriced and way too small!
6) dollar pizza is hit or miss but that one looked pretty bad.
7) As for Halal, that's hit or miss too, but every one ALWAYS has the red sauce that's unbearably hot! Everyone's made that mistake once of thinking it might be like regular hot sauce but just a single drop will ruin your whole meal.
Great video, you've got yourself a new subscriber and fan!
The moment I saw them hold up that dollar pizza and it was stiff like cardboard I knew it would be trash XD
Edit: I agree completely with your assessments. I find the main problem with food here is usually not that it's bad, just bad value for the price.
New York bagels are so good. Nothing like what you buy at a store.
You guys are so entertaining, sweet, friendly etc. I can't stop smilingđ€ How fun! God Blessâ
đ thank you
Yeah, what a great couple. They seem so compatible and happy.
It's great seeing his experiences in New York.. Reminds me of my own experiences living in and around Tokyo trying new things. Thank you for sharing.
You make me SO happy... lol. I'll try some of these places the next time I'm in NYC
Great video quality and I really enjoyed yâalls b-roll!!!! Awesome job and thank you both for sharing your food crawl with us đ„°
Please please please do more food tour reviews, so much fun!
I love my NY bagels not toasted but a NY bialy lightly toasted with cream cheese, oh my goodness!
Alessio is a natural in front of the camera đ
And really brave to stir up NY's rats with wings while he's eating!!
đ he is the king of the pigeons!
You donât if itâs nonhuman animal products. Thatâs brainwashing not love. Love doesnât involve causing horrific things to yourself and others like us and the planet,
Sesame bagel, scallion cream cheese and tomatoes is my go to ⊠I feel like the only acceptable time to toast a bagel is if it only has butter, it just melts the cream cheese and is a mess lol
What kind of heathen are you? A bialy with cream cheese? Geezus! Youâre definitely not a NYâer.
Scrambled eggs and kielbasa on a toasted bialy. Used to get at Kiev on 2nd Ave, maybe Veselka....YUM
NY bagels and Katz's Deli are on my list of places to visit.
I much prefer your long format content to the shorts
2 Suggestions: 1. Queens, corner of 71st in Queens if the Pizza place is still there, get slice of cheese pizza and ask them to throw it in the oven before you have it. 2. you guys can take the subway to Coney Island, get the Nathan's hotdog and corn on the cob there, it's really good. I grew up in NYC. :)
I used to live just up the street from Nathan's in coney Island once
2:33 "New York, I want to do tumaywah" - Alessio 2022. NYC is the land of many cultures. It is estimated that around 800 languages are spoken in the city, so NYC is bound to have something for everyone. And when in doubt, have a pickle. Not eating a pickle is a crime against society
Alessio really showed his inner French purist with this one by being appalled by something that's croissant-like that isn't in the shape of a croissant.
I love how you tease each other. And now we need your banana pudding recipe now!
Seconded. Needing the recipe⊠: )
Love his love for bagel. Newyoker in making đ
I truly enjoyed this video. I live in Australia and you just made me feel like I was on a foodie tour in NYC! Thank you. You guys are so kind and thoughtful. Thank you for paying it forward.
Love and light

My husband is as proud of his Jewish foods as I am proud of my Sunday sauce. đ He is beaming, watching you both enjoy Katzâs. †The cheesecake was waaay overpriced at Breads - and they are known for their babka. Next time!
Katz had been one of our BEST NY experiences!! Absolutely perfect! definitely need to try babka next time!!
Omg babka is SO good! I havenât had it since I moved cities đ
If you want cheesecake your best bet is Juniorâs on Flatbush. Breadâs has been overpriced from day 1. Definitely a tourist trap. Should try Clinton St Baking Company for blueberry pancakes, Supermoon Bakehouse for croissants and Morganstern Ice Cream. All in the Lower East Side/Houston St area.
Next time at Katzâ try a knish. Theyâre amazing.
The deep green pickles are called half-sour pickles. They have a lower acidity. If you leave it long enough in its brine, the green color fades and the acidity increases. At Breads Bakery you missed their Baguette. It won a contest sponsored by the NY French Consulate. A jury of French Boulangers and PĂątissiers named it the best in NYC. It's now the official baguette for the Consulate, through 2022 year end.
Thank you guys for being real with us! i really appreciate it because it saves me the time of going out of my way to try those places when I visit NYC. You two are awesome for trying these places for us đđđđ
Love you guys!! Great video enjoyed watching every second of it!
That was a great vlog! Thanks. The bagel looked super yum.
Glad you liked it!!
How can anyone say they donât love bagels??
It's like cats I think. Those that never had a cat say that, then.....if all you've ever had is crappy bagels, you will change your mind when it's good.
I think people have âbagelsâ somewhere or prepackaged like thomasâ âbagelsâ which are more like just gross bread and then they think they donât like âbagelsâ when really they have never had a real bagel
A New York Bialy is better. And most people donât know what a Bialy is. Which I think is sad. iâm just saying.
Usually they haven't been able to experience a New York, Montreal, or Jewish bakery style bagel. But maaaaan once you do
Bagels are overrated, English muffins for the win
You two are adorable! Thanks for the NYC food tour!
Oh I just love the two of you †Thank uou for the review of all the food places you visited, have noted for when I visit NY. Thank you again for an awesome video. đ
LMFAOOOO Iâm not even one minute in and she says get your eating pants on amore and he looks down to check to make sure theyâre on. IM WHEEZINGGGGG
LOVE WATCHING CULTURES TRY OTHER CULTURES FOOD!!!! đ„°đ„°
Entertaining, honest reviews and lots of fun seeing you in NYC!
Thank you for sharing!! This was lovely!
I do not eat meat anymore, but when I saw that pastrami on rye I almost died!!! My mouth is STILL watering at the thought of it!!! I find myself wondering......why did I give up meat? đł Thanks, guys!! đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
@DJ Ness This has been really difficult for me, but I am learning so MUCH along the way. Even as a child I struggled at the thought of eating another living being. I have always been more connected spiritually with animals than other humans. It basically came down to my conscience.
I gave up meat too. But Iâm going to New York next month and Katz Deli might make me cheat. đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
@@phillipsmom6252 The timing of your reply is absurdly apropos!! đ€Ł I had to leave the kitchen and go upstairs, literally just now, because my roommate is frying đł bacon đ„ and the smell is so heavenly that I did NOT want to slip up after 2+ years without meat!!! đ„© đ„Ž
@@firewaterbydesign hang in there!! đ
ABSOLUTELY! The pastrami made me speechless. Tender deliciousness. @@phillipsmom6252
Nom Wah actually opened up a branch in Philly. Food is delicious, but it probably doesn't compare to the original. Sadly, you guys didn't order the staple dim sum stuff like the shumai or har gow. the fried shrimp balls are delicious too, but Nom Wah has the best stuffed peppers, at least in the philly branch
Agreed. If youâre going to go to a dim sum place, get egg rolls and pan fried/veggie dumplings then youâre in the wrong place. Dim sum is Shrimp Har Gow, Pork Xiu Mai, Shrimp or beef rice paper rolls, turnip pan fried cake⊠otherwise, go to a dumpling place for those.
You guys are so funny. Love the edits with the pigeons. Haha. That cheesecake looked so good. Bagel too.
Love this episode!!! And sooo happy yâall got to have some legit dim sum!!!â€đđ and lol Iâm Asian, but I slide food onto my plate or bowl like alessio too! Aww man to the hair in the food!! But shady Asian places are where the legit food is atđ đ and agree with what someone else said down below earlier: itâs best to get the staples of dim sum like shumai (or shaomai), chicken feet, fried bean curd, haicao (shrimp dumplings), and whatever else that place is known for.
I enjoyed your New York food adventure so much, please do more cities.
This video was amazing! Halal hot sauce is super spicy. The white sauce is amazing. Magnolia bakery banana pudding is unbelievable.
That was fun! Thanks for bringing us along
Lived in nyc for 28 years. Worst place to diet! Never had even a mediocre meal! Every meal was delicious! Miss NYC so much! Not only for the food but for everything! â€â€â€â€â€â€â€
Get a pastrami, extra bread on the side now you got two sandwiches, get a hotdog and a knish and a Dr. Brown cherry or cream canât go wrong
I just love you two so much. You are just so much fun and such a great couple. Itâs so lovely to see Alessio and you enjoying so many different foods in NY đ
Should have tried the soup dumplings. They're delicious.
That was fun to watch đthanks for the tour never ever been to New York. Now I know why
Can you please try some Bodega foods like a breakfast sandwich (even better if its Jersey style with pork roll) or a chopped cheese?
You guys so fun ,myself married to a European woman and kinda do the same things you do, but much older and so were not making videos just eating, enjoying the food and life together, don't stop
It's good to see your faces, thank you ! And bravo cicio and ragassa!
†Love this foodie tour of NYC! Shouldâve gone to Venieroâs off 1st Ave for NYC cheesecake with espresso, Johnâs Pizzeria on Bleeker (not $1), Greyâs Papaya for hotdogs but honestly a âdirty dogâ from most street vendors is great! And, Hop Kee for Chinese. đ
Wow! I am impressed with your list of recommendations! I have tried most of them and agree with your opinion! I will take note of Johnâs Pizza.
Always go to Venieros for the cheesecake when we visit NYC.....the best!
My wife and I want to go to NYC, but for completely different reasons. She wants to go to a Broadway show, I want to go to Katz Deli
Do both! Have funđœđ„°
Katz's pastrami is a religious experience. So tender, you don't need teeth. They use the best cut to make their pastrami.
Love the videos! Well done guys!
Absolutely loved watching this!
If you cross the river into NJ there is a classic North Jersey deli sandwich you should try, the Sloppy Joe (has nothing to do with ground beef.) It's a double-decker sandwich on Rye bread with meat (classic choices would be ham, roast beef, or turkey. Corned Beef or Pastrami is good too.), swiss cheese, coleslaw, and Thousand Island/Russian dressing.
This is a great tour! Giving thanks!
First time watching this channel...they are HILLARIOUS!!! Totally enjoyed this video!
There are way better dim sum dishes than the ones tried! Siu mai, ha gow, soup dumplings, black sesame rolls, char siu bao (steamed or baked), tofu hua, steamed pork ribs, beef short ribs...and for adventurous palates there are delicious tripe dishes. For fried dishes, ham sui gok and taro dumpling. There's so many!
I knew Alessio was gonna be pissed with $.99 pizza. Obviously the banana pudding is overpriced but damn good!
I donât know if he has experience with pizza in other parts of America but New York 99 cent pizza is usually better than standard priced pizza in the Midwest and southern states and west coast too.
I enjoyed the foodie tour very much. However, I was equally impressed by the diversity of the food choices and how much you actually mixed and matched your choices. I would become sick to be sure. I cannot eat foods like that and not get a little nauseous or a tummy ache. More power to you both!!!đ
So funny đ I love the last partđ
Such an adorable couple!!!
Omg i love this channel đâ€ïžâ€ïžđ€âš
grazie mille
Just found your channel. Very entertaining. Youâve got a new fan. Cheers.
I know a lot of people always trip on pricing for food but for the amount of time and work that goes into creating anything decent and paying people to make it. There is such a slim profit margin already so u become a workaholic to make sure ur dream doesnât fail. Appreciate the art and try not to think of the price
No potato knish or pretzel, y'all? Street cart near Penn station...
I had exact same reaction as Alessio with my first bagel and lox at Tompkin's Square. Asked myself what else I'd been missing my whole life, lol.
I love people who love to eat!!! You two are amazing! â€
Thank you for the great food reviews! The beautiful Pasini couple đ â„
NY Cheesecake is very expensive but true Cheesecake Lovers don't mind the price it's worth it!!! I bought my boyfriend a half of a cheesecake at Juniors in Midtown Manhattan and it was $50.00 yes for half a cheesecake but so worth it!! Juniors is world famous for their cheesecakes!!! Very creamy and delicious!!!! I'm 100% Italiano and I love cheesecake even better then Italian cheesecake!!! đźđčđźđč
Omg you lost me at Birthday Cake Cream cheese! đ„Ž
But i know that Everything Lox Bagel was delicious!!
Yes! Lox and cream cheese on an everything bagel!!
We will be looking forward to your banana pudding recipe vid soon!!
As an old school Born and Bred New Yorker, my two cents...
- Lox and Cream Cheese = Yes, classic New York
- French Toast bagel with birthday cake cream cheese. Just like your Italian husband. As a New Yorker, "No, just no" :(
- Pastrami on Rye or Corned Beef on Rye from Katz's = Yes! Classic New York! :)
- New York does have great Chinese food though. Woo Hop (legend) and Joe's Shanghi (newer legend)
- 99 cent Pizza scares New Yorkers too
- Cronut was just a trendy gimmick. Not classic New York. New York does have amazing bakeries
- Magnolia Bakery just got famous because of Sex and the City, not so much because of its food. It's not a landmark for New Yorkers. It's a landmark for tourists. $5 is cheap for New York. You're paying their rent too when you go to these places. Dominique Ansel Bakery is more of a landmark for New Yorkers.
- Cheesecake. Most New Yorkers eat cheesecake at a diner or local bakery. Junior's in Brooklyn is good too. $7-$9 is average. New York real estate is expensive.
- New York Hot Dogs. There are Four ways. 1) From a cart with onions (it's not raw onions, It's in a light tomato/paprika sauce), 2) from a Kosher Deli (sauerkraut and mustard). 3) Nathan's, 4) Gray's Papaya.
- Halal Food Cart food is not traditional New York. They just popped everywhere these days.
So nice you guys gave the food to the homeless man
Good advice đœđ„°
Alessio king of the pigeons đ you guys seem so lovely. Would love to meet yâall one day
Definitely!!
Perfect jazz for a NYC stroll! I approveđ
Do this in more cities. Love this
When I was homeless .99 pizza wasn't so bad. The best was in Time Square picking through the garbage. Because they were always full I would just wait until a tourist would dump a full topping pizza out in the top of the garbage and be able to eat it before it touched anything funky.
Try out Razza Pizza Artiginale in Jersey City and Fiore Deli of Hoboken in Hoboken. Casa Della Mozzarella Italian Deli in the Bronx is really good too. Halal street cart food is so good, glad u had some, u can get it less spicy next time
thank you so much for all these recs!!
@@ThePasinis of course, glad you appreciate it! đ
You should try the pizza next to Casa de la Mozzarella. Also, have a cappuccino at Frankâs bakery and some pignoli cookies. Will make Alessio feel like heâs back home.
You're in the wrong borough for pizza. L &B Spumoni Gardens in Brooklyn. ONLY GET THE SICILIAN PIZZA. You will go mad, it's amazing.

I love this. It's like a food travel TV show but better.
I love watching your channel. Y'all have so much fun together. If y'all ever make it to Louisiana, I will make you a southern banana pudding.
I don't know if they're still around, but many years ago when I was a kid in NY, you used to be able to buy fresh, hot, soft pretzels at stands, a bit like hot dogs. I used to love those things!

@@Leo-pt9ei. On the side!
†what a beautiful couple! You transmit so much good vibes, you generate joy, you are so funny, Alessio's reactions are uniqueđ đ đđ

Not all bagels are created equal, good for you for trying them!
As a native New Yorker, I wouldn't have gone to any of the places after the Katz either. If they are still there. I would love to recommend some places.
I like how the pigeons were there perfect timing and hyping Alessio up with the bagel.. like they were paid actors hahaa
Adore you guys!!
I just over the bridge in NJ-- 20 minutes from the city-- Hope you are having an amazing time!
@4:20 Katz delicatessen is the best. Omg how didn't I tell you about that? My grandfather's first job as a newly arrived immigrant in the 60s was at Katz. Great place too. The workers there are so cool and are locals, so they know much about the area. The pastrami sandwiches there are awesome
Many Dominicans work there, Alessio. That's our cousins. đ”đ·đ©đŽđȘđžđźđč
Also since you liked the street hot dog, Katz's hot dogs are excellent too!!
Itâs overhyped and way to expensive, they are robbing ppl
I don't like the everything bagel so I have the lox, tomato, onion, cream cheese etc. on a plain bagel. Delicious. You should have gotten the Reuben as well, or the corned beef. :) I usually eat Asian food in Flushing Queens. Don't ever eat the 99c pizza. There's great New York pizza in New York; you just have to know where to go. Use tripadvisor or something similar.
you guys are great!
