Once upon a time, I wanted to watch this drama. I've read countless reviews and watched your videos about the drama and decided not to watch it. Shifu/Student relationships aren't my cup of tea. The end! 😂😂

Yes, as much as I appreciate the themes they wanted to get across with this drama, I can't actually recommend it to the general audience. It really depends on your expectations :D

Sometimes I am like : it is such a miracle "Love Between Fairy and Devil (2022)" had the crew team it did have that made the drama such a surprise quality hit cause dear lord XianXia genre is just the worst in cdramaland before Tianxiong. I tried "Journey of Flower" and it is just aigooo !
I haven’t watched this yet. Honestly, it’s because it looks a bit dated. Normally I like classic cinema, but Asian cinema from a certain time period tends to be a bit heavy on the 🧀, and I’m lactose intolerant. 😅
That's true, too much🧀 and 🧀 on slo-mo in period dramas these days. Although, concerning this drama, I think the characters spend more time torturing one another than anything XD

I love Zhao Liying's work but I can't bring myself to watch this show. I have to space out my teacher/student romances. One every two years. Unless the show tricks me.

I recommend everyone to check out the novel, it goes a lot more into detail on some things that the drama skips over. Especially the ending, which is super rushed in the drama.

Thank God I found this video. I was on others who were just gushing about 'true love wins and she should end up with him'....and I was getting furious and nauseous reading them.

I think his older brother is the real tragedy bringer, but yeah, Bai Zihua certainly adds a lot to the mess.

They really did! If they couldn't show a proper arc from the last battle to when Hua Qiangu is saved then I'd rather just have the last tragic scene as an ending XD

With a plot that makes no sense, the drama is so ridiculous to an extent that it is a comedy. I have seen so many drama with the same plot line that nowadays it seems like a humorous drama rather than anything else.
Actually, this plot makes a lot more sense than similar dramas that came after it, but the execution of some important plot points are lacking. And of course, we can live without that 2-minute scene in the end 😂
Well.... Yes if we look at this drama's releasing time period then it could be said that it has a new and sensible story line and acting. Nowadays we do have high bar when it comes to our D3 (daily dose of drama).
This was entertaining. I didn't know there were vampires in this drama. It can't compete with ATV My Date with a Vampire though.
The male lead's vampire phase is something we all try to forget😂
