Because the combat width system is currently (March 2022) using the vanilla no-size-fits-all system, there's no really good single division template to focus on.
Interestingly, this actually makes some of the default division templates in the mod more useful. When you've got odd combat width numbers like 96 or 75 rather than an even 90, it makes the smaller, oddly-sized battalions or regiments useful to "fill in the gaps" as it were. I've found having divisions at around 45 width with several smaller divisions of various sizes to support them to work pretty well.
You make this mod understandable, thank you so much 🔥. Just subbed
Millennium Dawn will be updated March 12th here steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=719416488 It will include the economic rework, new focus trees, a satellite system, and the missile update!
In research, technical indicators (for tanks and weapons) are written in yellow and merge with the yellow background - the numbers of breakthrough, protection and other things are not visible at all! How to fix it?
does this combat width tutorial still work? or did the mod change the combat width as the vanilla version of the game did?
dude, I really like the Concept of Patrol Planes, but since the Previous mod till this new one. i Notice that it was Never Effective at Killing anything. i never failed to create 6 squadron of 20 each though. i play mainly as japan so its very important to me. its best used for Spotting fleet and dropping Mines(you need to make a 50 unit Squadron to make it Mission Capable). or it helps my Strike fleet in combat. so usually i focused on the ASW Corvette and Multifunction (mainly anti air) Destroyer. plus a ton of Subs in my navy. tell me what i might miss. thanks.
After mastering HOI4 I just started to learn this game Thanks to you Sir! Would love to see more videos for this mod.
Same ! I got bored of the WW2 context and I decided to check how the game would do in a modern day setting.
Great work thank you so much!
3:40 China is better for network-centric warfare due to its large industrial base and good tech potential. While some of its starting techs is a bit behind the US it is made up for by prioritizing actually important techs. The same goes for India but to a somewhat lesser degree
That is fair. Given a game that's not super short Network would be better.
I'm looking forward to the Nuclear Gameplay Mechanics, Can you show us the upcoming or tease us about it?
I am not a game dev but if you check out the discord they have a few teasers of it!
Love this mod, this is a good vid
Well...!
I stopped playing millennium dawn due to the economy thing when that was introduced. Seriously. Me and Maths. Not a good idea. I fail every time its my worst weakness.
But after watching your videos i feel somewhat more...enlightened. Not confident but DEFINIATELY steered into the right direction.
I get the feeling that Millennium Dawn is now a mod of "Patience" and number crunching.
With your valuable tutorial videos, I would like to return to Millennium Dawn once again.
Doubt i will be any good.... but hey! We all have to start somewhere right? And that is usually...At the bottom.
Thanks for your very informative videos. I will no doubt be returning to these in due time, Juuusstt to keep me on the straight and narrow.
Glad you feel ready to retry the mod, its a lot of fun. Remember to take your time and enjoy yourself, practice makes perfect
Love the videos man. Curious though have you ever seen the ai build capital ships successfully? In year 2016 In a USA playthrough from 2000 start date and Japan has 4 helicopter carriers. Other than that Russia has 1 and China has 0. China did have 1 but Japan sunk it in the war that they're in. China is currently pumping out screens with no capital ship production.
Theyre actually not worth the cost so I imagine the devs coded the ai not to make more
Hey Hammurabae would you be able to do a tutorial on how to actually play the beta version of MD, ive been trying to figure it out but when I try to make a playlist from installed mods the mod isnt there. Thank you and amazing video.
I had the same issue when trying to get it to work. Did you change the pathway in notepad? I can make a video
@@Hammurabae I did change the path and even talked with the devs and it still didn't fix my issue, if you could do a step by step video I would be extremely appreciative!
Awesome vid, but correct me if i'm wrong please, combat width is currently using vanilla's width isnt it? Might be useful to pin that somewhere as an update if possible.
True!
This is a good Vid
My first run in this mod was with hungary, in 7 years i had 0 debt and had 8 divisions with the latest tech and best possible vehicles, i went against the 2 times larger serbian army and demolished them woth only 52 casualties after 7 days of conflict, i would recommend rushing technology and having quality over quantity
Great vid, also can you make a more advanced video about army templates that would be good if not it's okay
I'll add it to my video list! Generally the ones I recommend will do the job. Anything in particular you wanted focused on?
Great video, just a question how can I change the fact that the debt money on the screen captures my time and I don't know where I'm going
I’m assuming your using a smaller screen? You could try to change ui settings. Alternatively I believe there is at arrow next to those number which allows you to minimize it
More please!!
More in the works!
@hammurabae is this still applicable with the new update? Same question for the templates in video 4
The updated template video I put out is still workable, their doing an entire rework soon though
love this cause i dont have the new dlc and this still works. but i noticed you didnt incloude support companys, is this so we may chose our own or do they suck in this mod?
Templates are outdated due to updates. Support dive used to be really bad
@@Hammurabae ah well i didnt get the dlc and they seem to still be working
What version is this? My tech tree looks very different
Could you perhaps do a land ,air, sea doctrine explained video
Would be happy to. Theres about to be new naval doctrines so ill get that out when I can
@@Hammurabaethank you . just found your channel today realy and subd after the first vid
The decision tree contains options for buying weapons but is there a way to sell your own stockpiles?
Not yet sadly, I believe it may be in the works
For the SSGNs, why land-attack VLS instead of anti-ship?
Cheaper production cost. I will be releasing a video specifically for MD navy soon with updated designs and info
Missiles! a whole episode should be dedicated to missiles. It's so confusing. I don't understand how ship and plane missiles work.
Also, i launched some ground to ground missiles directed to enemy units but i don't get any feedback of what happened or what the missile did.
Are there plans to add a system of captured soldiers in future updates?
No that I am aware
@@Hammurabae Ok. And military parades, the decision to hold holiday fireworks, family laws, immigration laws, religious laws, the prohibition of any ideologies?
I am starting the game with the production of the F16 under license. After 2 days, the license stops working. I can't buy a new license, is it an error?
Perhaps your opinion with whoever you bought it from went too low? If it's not that sounds like an error.
@@Hammurabae I start the Polish game in 2000 and I have a license from the USA for the F-16. after 2 days the license expires, for 5 years of gameplay I can not buy any license from the USA or Germany or from anyone . I have opinion 200, the same faction, etc. I do not even have the option to buy a license (it is not gray, just not has)
Can you do a video on how to get the beta?
Sure!
How I use balistic missiles from submarines?
They need to be next to a missile silo province currently
how can i send nukes? i can't send nukes due strike limit?
How do you annex a nation diplomatically? I've tried making the countries my puppets but I can't find a way to annex them.
Sending equipment is the easiest way. I usually mass produce convoys and send them to get the levels of autonomy down
@@Hammurabae Thanks
Is the meta for the writh still the same after NSB?
Yep, generally 10,27 and 40-44 broadly speaking
How do you Attack! using your air and navy?
Navy should generally be used to get naval supremacy. And can be used for shore bombardment if you're fighting on the coast. I would really recommend checking out my Air and Naval links in the video description as learning both of these parts of the game are complex.
Hey how do you get a legal path for military aid
How do you mean?
I can't find the "manage subject" button!!!! Help!!! How I can to manage relations with my subjects?..
I am guessing you are missing some dlc’s? No idea how to do it without the one that adds puppet management sadly
@@Hammurabae TY! That's important info
shoud ı produce multi role planes as turkey because normally the aircraft doctrine of the whole army is f16s(in real life) and also there is not enough industry to produce two types of aircraft.
Multi role are best if you have a small or medium economy/power. They do a bit of everything solid. Air superiority fighters are what to go for if you have the eco though as they outtrade everything.
благодарю сэр
Пожалуйста
how do you build nuclear reactors for your boats?
Theres an issue with that right now, I have had problems with it. The naval system will be getting overhauled soon so I assume its something to do with that
@@Hammurabae oh right, thanks so much for the reply!
7:16 Is there a way to fly Recon only missions? - Editing this comment - It doesn't appear my drones have the Air Recon mission available. Is there something I'm missing?
Its the mission on the far right. It should be doable?
@@Hammurabae looks like my issue was that I didn't have the expansion needed to do recon flights
Hello im encountering a very bad problem whit AIR. It tells me i need Service Manpower which is incomprehensible because i have 500k MANPOWER. Im blocked i can’t make an air force
Thats a bug, no idea how to help sadly
The Hungarian High command is watching very keenly
👀
What army doctriine for Turkey?
Network centric, you have the capacity to get a strong eco and make good divisions
Few tips for any players looking for naval help you don't need to fill every slot on your hull because the more production cost it has the longer they take to repair so keep that in mind dont fill all your screens with light guns and expensive fc systems bc capital ships take so long to prepare for than produce it helps to have some torpedoes on your screens so they can deal lots of damage after clearing out screens because it gives your light ships the ability to seriously damage capital ships navy isn't that hard to deal with if you can get the right ships for each mission also ut helps to build one or two decent ships with lots of AA guns on it in each strike force because it will punish any planes trying to naval bomb you and cripple carriers which is huge for fighting the us which let's face it thats why we all want a strong navy anyway
Punctuation, my friend, is a rather sophisticated practice; wouldn't you say?
@@cunuchc6153 so is your sex life clearly
Can we buy foreign military equipment?
Yes, there is a decision tab for it
You not use any type of support companies in your divisions?
support companies are very weak in millennium dawn
They are not worth what they give you. If you have a specific reason to add one feel free, but the division will be best without them.
@@Hammurabae not even engineers or anything? Or arty? I’m just now getting into the mod
@@dewfan14 Engineer support divisions in Millennium Dawn don't actually give entrenchment which is why theyre so useful normally. If you want the entrenchment bonus you will have to put them into the unit directly rather than as a support company. Again you can use supp divs, but they hurt more than they help.
@@Hammurabae got it thanks!
idk what i am doing wrong but i can only design battleships pls help
Any submods on?
@@Hammurabae yeah it was the submods think
Cool! Have fun
How do you annex it diplomatically actually?
You need to reduce your puppets autonomy which can be done by a few different methods. Building in their country, sending them supplies through lend lease, as well as using the generic focus to reduce puppet autonomy are all options. What is considered the best and easiest way is to produce convoys and lend lease them since it is a cheap, low cost way, although it does reduce your capacity to continue building a navy for a while
@@Hammurabae it requires the british dlc right?
@@auraaa_2991 I believe so. The focus to reduce autonomy should still work though
is there a way to just delete naval bases to save money?
You can cancel access with countries you have it with
@@Hammurabae does that save money?
I think so. If you have high military costs remember that stockpiles of equipment cost money to maintain and you can delete them. Ships will also be a lot and are deletable. Lowering the military spending policy lowers costs across the board. If youre playing a high population country raising the pop tax should balance tour budget
@@Hammurabae thank you so much i was struggling getting france out of a deficit early game
is this update on steam
No, you will have to get it from the Millennium Dawn discord
@@Hammurabae do you have the link ?

I think Guerrilla Warfare needs to be bigger. It feels so short and almost useless to be honest. Yes, you get more recruits. But the Core Territory specific thing is ruining it. Rendering it a starter only Doctrine. I tried Afghanistan. And I can tell its a really good doctrine from the start. But then it becomes completely useless thanks to the fact that its bonuses are too few and focus on militia and core territory. So when you expand you just change the Doctrine. Why not just make it like this (Attack - Defense - Stealth) Stealth is also survival if it has more Encryption and Reconnaissance.
and less supply usage. a bit more recovery. at least making it worth keeping. Because so far it feels good only in the first 3~5 years of the game...
It would be nice if its a big Doctrine like the other two.
Also I wanted to ask. I have an issue with GDP/C with Nigeria. The population is having difficulty its like -100 no matter what I do. Monthly growth is so low how do you fix that?
divisions die always
They are outdated, as the MD dev team keeps changing military mechanics. This might help but will be outdated too soon czcams.com/video/CimlZT_HcYc/video.html

onur millenium dawn’in beta versiyonunun nasil yükleneceğini biliyor musun? bir süredir discord’daki linkten yüklemeye çalışıyorum fakat launcherda mod yüklenemedi uyarisi aliyorum, çözümünü biliyor musun
This mod is extremely superficial, things don't really work most of the stuff in this mod is just unnecessary complexity and random numbers that do nothing. This is what happens when someone thinks they creating something super realistic and fun but instead you end up with this. That's why "realism" and "real life simulation" in games don't really mix together. The classic version of this mod is the only acceptable one before the creator of this mod had gotten brain issues and decided to turn it into this shit
