  • Right after I purchased this 1974 FMC 2900R Motorhome, I did a quick three-minute video walk through, showing the overall interior and exterior condition. As you can see it is extremely well-preserved. The seller demonstrated that all the house systems are operation al with the exception of the water system as he was in the process of fixing the front water tank.
Before I outfit my FMC 2900r to my specifications, I will do a complete photo and video documentation of the coach.
At this point, and it is not essential as I don't have any immediate plans to drive it, is to find a passenger-side windshield. So if you are a member of the FMC community and see this and have an available windshield to sell, please contact me by leaving a message in the comments section below.

Lovely looking motorhome. I've heard of the FMC 2900R. But I've never seen one up close. :)

Have you done anything fun or special with the FMC since you bought it? Do you have any plans to do more vids of this bad boy? :)

I posted a follow-up video to show how things have evolved since I finished the installation of the rebuilt 440.
    czcams.com/video/GDjcQy3SZmc/video.html
To everyone that asked, I paid $5000 for my FMC 2900R (and had the engine let go on the drive home necessitating the installation of rebuilt 440) and $2900 to install the rebuilt 440 I bought from a friend for $400. So I'm in it for $8300 and have been living in it since September 2019. I love it and plan to drive it cross country this Summer if the Covid 19 restrictions lift.
I plan to drive over US 50 -- the Loneliest Road in America in Nevada -- to Salt Lake City to have an EFI system installed, then to a number of automotive-related stops at museums and events before arriving in Michigan in August to take part in the Woodward Dream Cruise. While in Southern Michigan I plan to visit the Henry Ford Museum where the FMC 2900R used by CBS newsman Charles Karult is on display.
Then the plan is to drive to NJ to spend the month of September with my mom before heading to the University of North Carolina where I plan to spend time examining the personal papers of Charles Karult are archived. I plan to be in Chapel Hill the night of the 2020 election.

@Rich Truesdell, It's in a town called Elverta, That's in Sacramento County California, They dropped the price this morning down to $2800.00. It's on Facebook under "Market Place". I looked at it, He started it right on up and seems to run good, Good luck!

@Rich Truesdell I know what you mean, I don't see it on Facebook marketplace either, They post that they received over 250 E-mails the very first day, They just E-mailed me today and told me they dropped the price again down to $2600.00. if you took $2000.00 cash to them, You could drive it away, They have a huge file/box with 10 pounds of documents where this coach has been serviced, Plus, All the books and booklets from the FMC factory, Here's the lady's Facebook name and account, Her name is Tracey Jean, I have her home address where the RV is parked. It's out on 20 acres.

The fiberglass motorhomes are better for heating and keeping cool as they don't absorb that energy like steel and aluminum does. This one was super clean. Thanks for showing it! I'm nosey though, if you wouldn't mind, what did you have to give for it?

To answer you wanting to know what I paid for my coach, I don't think that's a fair question to ask someone. What I will tell you, after replacing the engine, I was all-in for less than $10K.
