Even in times of crisis or war we Brits always make time for tea.

If you are in Africa, find a coco tree. If you're in America, find the nearest KFC
What if you're in Europe? or Asia?!?!
TheMelopeus Do the same as you would in America :/
ummm theres no coca trees in africa, coco trees are found in south america. sorry not trying to be a nerd just trying to help you out
Evan Williams Ah, thanks for correcting me :)
Lauren Croidge Dont listen to that, there are Cacao trees in Africa.
good video, just be careful how u tap birch trees, the technique shown here could leave the tree open to infection and compromise it. always make sure you seal what you open. Cool video though
Great video mate very informative. I've never heard any youtuber talk so street in the forest haha.
Couple of things I would like to add to this for the watcher/reader is that a lot of vitamins, especially vitamin C are destroyed at 70 C. So it is best to boil the water first to sterilise it then allow it to cool until it is just hot enough that you can hold your finger in without scalding it. Then steep the plant material to absorb the nutrients in the water.
Also, I personally wouldn't have done that much damage to the Birch to extract its sap. A small hole would suffice, no need to scrape the bark off. Then plug the hole afterward with de-barked clean wood to prevent the tree from getting infected.
Other than that, good stuff. Hope you don't mind if I share this on my facebook group the FREE FOOD FORUM. It has nearly 6000 members and is all about foraging wild food. Please feel free to check it out and join up folks!! You would make a valuable contributor Alfie. Peace brah.
+Dean Rose Subscribed to your channel mate :)
+Dean Rose you scrub, you replied to your own comment, go sub to pewdiepie
This killed me. Why did you reply to your own comment.
@@joshporter5773 It's been two years are you working even harder ever since the war with T series.

We got to get you a show on Nat Geo TV, and fly you to some other biomes
Matt Brosnan nazi geo ! They don't want sheeple to know this stuff!
he'd get fired within the month after flunking sexual harassment class. Childish remarks like his are only accepted in the high-school locker room.
Thorlaug Borg Agustsdottir
Ive heard women say worst shit than that .funny how its not childish if a woman does it !!
This was your defense? "they do it too" smh there's no kidding about the childishness. If you were a grown-up I'd give you links to studies that demonstrate the difference in gender behavior online but since that's just gonna fly over your head I'm gonna let "I'm sure you have" be my answer.
Hostility online is the trait of two groups mainly: young boys that don't know any better and sociopathic men that actually inflict violence on others in real life. I'm hoping you belong to the first group for the sake of the people around you.
Thorlaug Borg Agustsdottir
What makes you think that was a defence?
That is an observation that demonstrate your hypocrisy . But your statement comes from thinking that you are treated differently because you're a woman .
Women take indifference ( you want a man to act different when a lady is present ) for discrimination !or some other shit they can cry about .
Women are the ones that need to grow up and live in the adult world !
I love you Alfie. And I'm a bloke!

Even in times of crisis or war we Brits always make time for tea.
chamomile tea can also help calm anxiety, which is useful if in a group and someone is experiencing some nervousness.
Hey Alfie, not sure if you knew, but Birch Bark also contains salazine just to a lesser degree than Willow Bark does. Good in a pinch if you're struggling to find willow.
Meadowsweet Tea is also another good one to add to your list. The flowers have a nice honey smell and flavour and while ingesting the tea it carries the same effect as paracetamol as well as being an anti-inflammatory for those with upset stomachs. The leaves on the other hand smell like savlon or anti-septics and taste like you'd imagine too.. Best leave the leaves out (geddit?) if you dont want your tea tasting like the floor of a dentists office.
The great thing about this plant is its pretty easy to identify and grows in LARGE clusters around fields and of course, Meadows!
The root can also be chewed much to the same effect if you don't want to waste water making a brew.
me: Okay I'm going to sleep.
also me: Wild Teas for Survival
Even though I know a thing or two about the topics you cover in a specific video, I ALWAYS learn so much!! Wish you'd upload much more often
He went all howtobasic in the last bit haha
Lmao I've just noted everything in this video down in my survival handbook instead of doing homework, I'm a 13 year old girl with no life.
The life you write and learn is the life others will be begging to know before long. Keep it up!
mmmkay that comment you just wrote makes me feel sorry for your sense of humor

@Wisewoe Tiswell Wow I "dragged you here" lol as if you dont have free will, don't piss yourself mate.
I love the professionalism you put into all of your videos. You bring it down to earth, so it's both educational and a deeply interesting video to keep me into it until the very end.

another awesome video...
thanks for the knowledge
I tried willow bark tea here, it did help reduce pain from a headache I had. Didn't take it away but wasn't expecting that anyway. Tasted okay, not too shitty. Hear about a lot of these teas and will definitely try them! Thank you Alfie!
HA!! You're cracking me up!! Love the video AND information, thank you.
Addition to the chamomile, I understand it's also a natural sleep aid. Also, ginger, I find it helps as a mild energizer (may be stronger for others, my body is resistant or immune to many things including sedatives and E. Coli), is known for many nutrients and vitamins, and helps with at least a few diseases, and upset stomach. You can find ginger sold whole in stores, or added in ginger candies, ginger brew/beer/ale from brands like Reed's, Cock 'N Bull, or my favorite because it's the strongest I had, Ginger People, but also the hardest for me to find.
love these vids, hes so funny i just watch these for the awesome lols i get.
I love your channel!
he needs some milk thistle
Badass.. I need to do some research
Thanks for the video
I love him to his star. Thanks
I would like to have seen a recommended combination of several of these ingredients to make a single, nutritional, enjoyable tea. Also, if you slightly smash any fresh berries added, you will get drastically more flavor from them. This works for most plant ingredients as well...
Altogether though, a great and very useful video. Thank you!
Plantain, especially broadleaf plantain. Can be used as tea for multiple effects, also - as a part of bandaging material to increase healing rate.
You the man when it comes to Commentary shit....keep'em coming Bro
i love the taste of lavendet tea
Do you recommend any book in particular with this wonderful information one can purchase and have on hand?
Is helped so much thanks bro ;)
Your videos are well planned out and the information is very practical for use no b/s that is why I subscribe to your channel.

Tea Tea - Tastes nice and is commonly found in most campsite stores.
awesome wild herb info👍👍👍
Very thorough.. :)
I made the willow tea. It's quite pleasant. It's a bit bitter but tastes pretty normal.
comfrey leaf tea, my fav, x
Can I just mix several of these together into one tea cup or is that not something I should do.
+Iyrai Cesurov You can, yes.
another question can i boil weed and get high off drinking the water?
not a good idea. thc isn't water soluble.
add butter or milk while you boil and youre good to go. Shits fire if done correctly.

That video was pretty epic bro
great video, totally awsome on wild edibles
awesome video. your a true apothacary dude.
Nice!
Didn't follow the instructions: I grew a vagina. On my forehead. Help.
quelorepario That means you can be mind fucked XD
Hell yeah. Back when I was a youngen, I accidentally swallowed a bunch of pond water as I was swimming around in it. Got a pretty bad case of dysentery so my pap gave me acorn tea. This brought back some feels of rural life.
Anyone know if any of these have caffeine in them, looking for caffeinated wilderness teas.
Labrador Tea. In Northern Canada you can find this stuff virtually anywhere that there's moss or a high moisture content. The health benefits of the drink are amazing and I've used to many times for a variety of issues. Also...
Birch Leaves: The young leaves off of a birch tree work to put you to sleep and they quiet effective. I haven't researched more into their effects, but I'm sure there's more.
i made tea from elderberry leaves this morning. It took away my sour throat and i feel fine.
great funny educational video !
I haven't tried it yet; however, I knew and elderly lady that lived several years after a bladder cancer diagnosis. She started using tea from peach tree limbs, when she was told that she had it.
More on wild edibles and medicinal plants!
great video, I've always been interested in natural remedies, and just getting info from good old you tube, but can anyone recommend any good books as a good place to start learning about the different herbs etc and how to make remedies?
I like the no bullshit straight info
Miss you alfie
You actually sound like Paul chawdhry! Very funny and informative video man. Subscribed
Try birch sap and pine needle tea but careful some pine trees have leaves which can be toxic
Is there a video on where you could predominantly find these plants?
Does the pine needle tea work with all varieties? ( specifically Australian pine )
Don't drink too much as a man, you might grow a vagina hahaha
Always learning and laughing when i watch your video's. :))
"Lavender tea tastes like utter shit" Lmfao. I've watched many a survival tip video, but man, you make this stuff special.
Really enjoyed them all so far.
For me the best one is "the Blood orange tea" it works wonders for me,
