I'm impressed so far with the weight and design of the 3DS. It's a lot lighter than I expect and previously played when at trade shows but at that time I could only play with a security cord attached to it. The screens look nice, bright and clear and the 3D effect works well so far. The menu UI is pretty nice as it seems to be an update from the UI on previous DS hardware. I like that it came with an SD card included and a charging cradle which you are typically made to purchase separate. I will put the 3DS through tis paces and definitely share with you everything about the Nintendo 3DS. - Věda a technologie

Gunman Clive, Dillon's Rolling Western, Mario & Luigi games, and Donkey Kong 94 (for Gameboy) are all great games.
Actually, any first party Nintendo game is a game you can't go wrong with.

My first rush when I got my first Mii in Mii Plaza...
The thrill I felt when I won my first match of Mario Kart 7...
The memories of playing my games with my friends at daycare...
8 Years pass...
Now I have around 400 Miis in my Mii Plaza.
I have 100% in Mario Kart 7.
I have 40 games in my activity log.
I have friends on my friend list that I haven't seen in years.
I got a Nintendo Switch Lite two days ago.
My 3DS is slowing down...

nice review! i have a purple new nintendo 2ds xl! its kind of hard for me to hold it, so ive been wanting this ORIGINAL 3ds. but stores only have the 2dses and the 2ds xls these days. so my only choice would be amazon or most likely ebay
You know, people say that the nintendo 3DS is outdated, but I disagree, the 3DS is such a fun system with a huge library of 3D games to choose from. And the 3DS has some really great features like 3D face tracking and miis and streetpass.
I remember I used to walk around with my 3DS in my pocket and whenever I walked by someone else with a 3DS I would get a notification and we would exchange streetpass data. It was really fun.

I remember when I had a DSi and when i got the 3ds XL I reused the charger since it was the exact same plug! then upgraded and kinda downgrade to the 2ds xl(I didnt really car about 3d that much) and now I use usb charger for my 2ds since i can use it with a powerbank

what does the charge cradle do? Does it charge wirelessly? Or you still should connect it.

I'd love to find some videos of 'first impressions' of the 2DS. I'm getting one in a week or so, and looking up stuff about it. But most of the 2DS videos, assume you know most of the 3DS stuff already, or the person has used a 3DS before. So it's not really a first impressions.
I know the 3DS and 2DS is pretty much the same, but people tend to go on a bit about the 3D effect. Something that's completely irrelevant on the 2DS.

Reza O'Line I know that, but my issue was that most 3DS first impressions videos, focus a lot on the 3D feature and stuff.
I dunno, it might just be me, but getting a 2DS, I'd enjoy seeing a proper first impressions video of an actual 2DS, from someone that's not comparing it to a 3DS and stuff.
+TXF I think the regular 3DS is a better option for you because the 2DS only has one speaker, and you're not really able to take it anywhere with you,
Just leaving a little note that I found this video _very_ useful to determine if you can still select any arbitrary country when you get an American 3DS and use it in Europe! Glad it's possible. Thanks for also showing the setup. :)

It's also _not_ possible. I got an American 3DS now and am forced to select a country from a limited selection, so I had to pick US for myself. It's also annoyingly difficult to get some credit on the eShop as they flat out reject non-American credit cards and PayPal accounts.
I'm disappointed in you, Nintendo.

DantheMan A solid suggestion, but I have good reasons to keep it (gift from fiancee; already have games I've put 60+ hours in now). I'm just grump at Nintendo for not handling the whole international thing well. :P

Im buying a 3ds xl hopefully the animal crossing edition if we get it in the uk
and im going to wait until the 720 has been out a good while so that there's a good selection of games and that the worse of the hardware issues have been fixed so perhaps 6 months to a year after its release.

idk why i have some problem with mine eyes , that when i close the left one and the image is in 1080p the image comes on me like 3d , looks cool but its very very strange

+OSalad__ his 3ds is the old one which needs a charging dock but maybe you bought in between 2013-2015 so your one does not need the foqing charging dock
If they shut down the 3ds eshop, they better port some of the games to switch. Also why is the switch its own console, it should've been a new gen 3ds, plus it has no music, the 3ds does have music, from the initial setup, settings, eShop, Health and Safety, Activity log, the camera mode and gallery, all of it.
