It's weird. Everybody with a 3DS or 3DS xl is hating on the 2DS for no good reason, I mean come on, it's a good handheld, deffinantly for that price and why pay extra for the 3D-feature if you aren't going to use it?:)
I just purchased the 2ds bundle in ( sea green with Mario Kart 7 pre-installed September 19, 2015 for $99.99 at Game Stop in Orland Park, IL). I have been collecting portable systems since the Sega Game Gear, and even though I have all stages of 3ds systems, Gameboy color/Advance/Sp. I wanted this to add to my collection. No matter what age, creed, sex or color, gaming is for everyone. Happy gaming and happy collecting to all!

I know this guy is around 40, but the 2DS's only difference is no 3D and no clamp style, it is more durable, longer battery life, etc. I'm getting it because I'm not paying 50-80 more for a 3D mode.
I have had all nintendo systems from NES to the NDS Lite. After that I was really focussing more on PC gaming,which I still am. I sold my NDS Lite because I didn't play on it anymore, and now I regret it. So I wanted to buy a new DS, and I chose for the 2DS for the newer games. So why no 3DS? I don't want the 3D, it doesn't even look that good imo

you are just hating on the 2ds it plays 3d and normal ds games but not in 3d because it hurts your eyes and they got rid of the fold function because the screen than breaks easier and it is cheaper

Your Club Nintendo code is so you can register your Nintendo console/handheld so that you can put coins toward FREE stuff for buying other Nintendo stuff. Club nintendo had a rewards thing you can get for buying and downloading games. At 300 coins, you can get a FREE game download, at 600 you can get a specific reward with your game download. Registering hard copies is a big deal toward some extra Club Nintendo coins. I actually got Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX as a FREE reward, and I digitally downloaded a bunch of games.

All the games coming out are now released in 3ds. If u have dsi (like I do u cant play the newer games) They're not releasing them as DS anymore. I cant get any new games till i get 2ds or 3ds
First of all, why would they make a 2DS? I think they should stop making 3DS game and move on to the next level instead of making 2DS. I bought 3DS and I really enjoy it. But what i don't like about 2DS is that there is no lid for it to close and open the screen. You could just close your DS and make it sleep instead of changing button to sleep mode and normal.

Yes, it can take 3D photos. You can send them to people with 3DSes and they'll be able to view them in 3D.
