Welcome back to the channel and hopefully you are ready for new videos of building my 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS 5 speed manual Instagram: _dylan_paul?igs...
How is after all these years no one figured out that a 2g manifold n turbo kit fits a 3g? SO basically UR car is a 4G64T. Like it should been from the factory!
@@dylanpaul1217 The fact the car already running albeit not where it should it already a success if U ask me. N since 3g parts are cheap n readily available should be able to make it work. Good thing U work at Amazon n U not forced out of work. Sure U know this but in case U don't the last 2 or 3 yrs of the DMS era there were some Spyders that came with the 4g64 engine...maybe U that help in research. cheers.
please explain more why you using evo8 ecu? and same about other stuff u using, as you show only what you using but do not mention why it is better then original part. keep up doing. soon my channel will post some videos as well
Sup bro i recently lost my original key for my 3.0 GT eclipse and refound it but when the locksmith came to try and reprogram it ... It kept giving him an error so i thought maybe i could switch the ECU and have mitsubishi program me a key to it.... Do you think that will work?
I’m not to sure I know that some things have to be done by the dealer, but as far as switching the ecu I wouldn’t recommend that unless you have a tuner to help you with that and it’s a pain to get at it behind the hvac system on the firewall
I have a 04 2.4 L that Im trying to turbo, can I use the stock ecu or would I need the evo 8 ecu and my car is a automatic so would that change anything? been looking for the answer for a long time.
Ok so it’s 2001 or 2002( I can’t remember) and up ecu is the same as the evo 8 so yah you would be able to get tuned and the trans just requires more tuning work
@@J-Ham2001 Its not that simple..... Not alot of people have done it. There are a few tuners around than can and will tune the auto, but its alot harder.... The reason its easier/better to use the evo rom, is because its already set to understand boost. The stock 3g ECU is not. So you can technically plug and play the evo 8 ecu. (only recommend light driving without a tuned rom for the vehicle)..... But it gets trickier with the autos..... No one has went through and created definition files, and or roms for them and made them accessible to the public...... When boosting a manual 3G you can just flash the evo 8 (manual) and no harm no foul. But if you were to try this on an auto ecu, you would either brick it or put the trans in limp mode...... So with all this being said, you CAN get your auto ECU tuned for your 4g64T but it requires alot of knowledge and time.. But there is an alternative to this.... Running a dual ECU setup with the stock auto ecu(no tuning required) and either a 3g manual ECU flashed with an evo 8 rom, or an evo 8 ecu. You cant really find the dual ecu harness's anywhere unless you're trying to pay $4-600, so you would have to make one youself (following guides online)
I assure anyone watching this that the air duct pieces DO NOT just slide out. It is a very difficult process to get the simplest things done on this car.
Keep it up! You are at the finish line now. Great content for anyone looking to boost the 4g64
Como hiciste con el inmovilizador del auto?
Do you have the 3g manual ECU still? I need to run a dual ecu setup if my tuning guy cant get my definition file figured out.(auto 04 eclipse)
Yah I still have it but I’m not going to let it go just yet just in case anything happens
The original ecu is reprogramable?
What about the chip on your key how did it start isn’t there a Secuirty set up
Well the tuner sent me a file so it wouldn’t cause a problem

I had to do some research to see what would fit and it’s no where near for what I want for the car, a lot more to come😏🤫

Yah when I did the research I looked at every possible car/ truck that had the 4g64 but now it’s time to research something bigger 🤔
Using a 2g Talon mani on my turbod 3g

@@halfbak3dI recently got a 2000 gt I heard you can’t tune that year for the ecu
Did you have to get new keys
What do you mean
how do you flash the 3g's factory ecu?
I use evoscan to monitor my things and ecu flash to upload and tune
Why do you need a evo 8 ecu?
The 2k ecu isn’t like the evos so you can either use 2001-2005 3g ecu or evo 8 ecu
How did this not cause any conflict with the immobilizer
The tuner send me a file so it won’t affect the immobilzer
Is this the only ecu you can use with the 3g?
Well depends you can use your stock ecu if it’s after 2002 or an evo 8 ecu or any standalone if you want to go all out
@@dylanpaul1217 any decent brands and software. I'd like to go all out. And if I did would I need a complete rewire
Evo scan and ecu flash that what I use
Wait so the evo8 ecu just plug in to our connectors?
Yep
@@dylanpaul1217 so should I do that if I’m boosting my Manuel 03 eclipse
It’s only 2000 to 2001 I believe the pre facelift that require an evo ecu, you can do it if your want
@@dylanpaul1217 bro wtf is wrong with CZcams I never saw this reply
That’s because I just responded yesterday lmao it’s April 26 at the time of me posting this 😂
Was the Evo 8 ecu plug an play?
Yes it was
@@dylanpaul1217 wat did you do to delete the stock maf? I'm boosted myself.
All I did for that was use an Omni 4 bar map sensor and a gm iat sensor and got a tune to run without the maf
@@dylanpaul1217 wow really? Who sent you the tune? I have the cables an stuff

I agree trying to get to the ecu is not easy it takes time but 2002-2005 you don’t need to
I have another price that came with the computer and a new key S/N A9Y16961
