An alternative to the Rite In Rain paper notepads are 3M Extreme Post-It notes. They are for construction site use, hold up to weather, are brightly colored, and extra sticky.
Plus, they can be found easily at local home improvement stores. I got a crapload of them at Lowe's on clearance one day. Also saw them sold at the bigger office supply chain places. Rite In Rain is harder to find offline.
You can separate 5, 10, or more sheets of the Extreme Notes from the main pad and spread the wealth among multiple kits.
I also cut up strips of these to label my seed start pots. They don't fall off or fade like everything else I've tried, and they can take watering overflows.

If nothing else these things are fun to build, I love those little packs.

Right? I've been camping and doing outdoor exploration for 30 years and never really needed to used any of my "survival gear" besides maybe the fire starting stuff, but I can start fire by hand anyway.

Very nicely done! I have the same organizer in od green. Putting one together and getting it to fit beautifully is not as easy as it looks. Takes careful though on selecting the right items and thinking through how they will fit together. But well worth the effort. Lots of fun to not only assemble but to use and evolve over time.

Great video. I would recommend adding some sanitizer wipes like wet ones (single size). They do come in very handy. All my kits have at least a couple in them. I usually keep them in the front mesh pockets of my organizers for easy access. Just my 2 cents. Keep up the good work.

This is a nice setup , mine is very similar. I totally agree with the hook thing getting in the way I cut mine off too and put a mini sharpie up top. (thanks for that tip!)

Nice job! Some really clever ideas in there. I especially like the mini Altoids fishing kit and the duct tape on the card idea. Thanks for posting. I need to get one of these little bags.

Thanks! It's nice to have on hand. I find myself using it as a mirror to dig dust particles out of my eyes, sometimes. It's got multiple uses and it's cheap.

Anything that I want to keep dry, like the match striker. I wrap in a piece of Glad Wrap. I even wrap my lighter with Glad, nothing worse than your lighter getting wet. Nice kit, I have a lot of different items that I like to carry. I also carry a little pry bar but I always carry a pair of side cutters. You can take one side of the handle and grind it down that it will do the job of a pry bar.

Apparently I got a knock off of this bag off Amz for less than $10 here in 2022. One of the few that had a thinner carry profile. I like it so far. I did spray 2 layers of waterproofing camping spray before loading it up.
I strongly agree with washing any bandana first. Especially if you ever expect to use it as a pre-filter. I hand wash with natural soap, do a white vinegar soak for 15 mins and rinse really well. Also hang to airdry.
If you're okay with sucking down an overabundance of dyes from China or chemical-enhanced clothes detergent, have at it.

I didn't see any pliers? That's perhaps my most needed item. So much so, because any kind of blades (or anything that can be used as a weapon) are illegal here, and I don't want to explain a no blade multi tool to the police, I've got the smallest Knipex Cobra in my handbag, LOL! So switch out that pocket knife for one with pliers or do it some other way!

What's about some first aid elements or crazy glue?
In my kit I have a tactical pen featuring a glass breaker and a Flashlight you can also use it as a kubotan.
I'll make a video about it soon.
